Newly remodeled three-bedroom property separate from the rest of The Nags Head Beach Inn, The Culpepper Cottage is unique from its peers; as it comes equipped with a beautiful kitchen with microwave, oven, and full-size fridge, a dining area with seating for six, a lovely sitting area with a large, flat-screen TV, and, of course, enough comfy bedding to happily accommodate a small group looking to enjoy Nags Head in style. You will find luxury sleeping in one of the two King En Suites or the Two Full Bedroom En Suite. A washer and dryer are available inside the unit.
To top it off, also exclusive to The Culpepper Cottage, is its own entrance, allowing for privacy and comfort during your visit. Add in aspects like the soothing paint job and beautiful artwork, and this property truly is the crowning jewel of the Nags Head Beach Inn!
This historic hotel property is perfectly situated just off the beach road at milepost 10.5. All of the accommodations feature the KEES standard amenity packages including soap amenity dispensers, K-Cup Machines, cooking supplies, high-quality linens and towels and free Wi-Fi access. Centrally located in Nags Head, this property is convenient to everything that the Outer Banks has to offer while maintaining the feel of a private retreat. Take advantage of the KEES Flex-Stay system where there are no check in day restrictions or mandatory 7-night minimums. Minimum age at check-in is 21.

You will also find a casual restaurant and bar, shaded lounge areas, and seasonal activities perfect for families or a relaxing solo escape. It's the ideal spot to unwind for a day on the Outer Banks.
Parking is $25 per car per day and access to the pool and beach is free. The Village Beach Club is open May 1 to October 1, with the club itself open until 5:00pm. The community pool is open daily from 9:00am to 4:30pm, May 25 to September 7, 2026.
Check-In begins at 4pm. Your keyless entry code will begin granting access at this time.

The cottage was nice. Plenty of room for 5 adults. Great location: close to beach, restaurants, ice cream shop. Only complaint we have is that the TVs in the upstairs bedrooms didn’t have any channels.

We picked this place for its proximity to the beach and it really delivered on that. We were less than a block away and that was great! The cottage overall was spacious but didn't seem very well cleaned or maintained. The kitchen was a nice size and decently stocked and it was nice that there was a washer/dryer we could use.

Everything was good except dirty dishes and pots on arrival. They offered to send a housekeeper which we declined. We asked for extra dishwasher pods and they dropped them off for us within an hour. The house itself was clean except for some wrappers near sofa. Great location! Beach right across the street. Grocery store a couple of blocks away and several restaurants within walking distance. We had a nice stay.
