We had a wonderful weekend! As a family that has been coming to the OBX for years, we really loved the house and the location! Easy access to the beach, jockey ridge park, dunes and the best restaurants. The host is also the nicest person and made us feel really comfortable right from the start. The house is beautiful with the best appliances, amenities and fun in house activities. Our dog loved it too! We highly recommend to anyone and can’t thank the owner enough for a great weekend!

The property is very nice. There is a pool, horse shoe pit, corn hole and volleyball net. The interior is decorated very nicely. I particularly liked the driftwood in front of the fireplace. It looked like a whale! If you like coffee they have an expresso, k- cup and regular coffee maker. The refrigerator looks new. If you are looking for a quiet neighborhood this is it. Many of the houses appear to be occupied by year round residents. The owner contacted me to discuss the property. I really appreciated that.

Check in was easy and Phil provides quite a bit of information. The home itself needs some maintenance and we were disappointed with the lack if cleanliness although we were told there is a cleaning service. The beds are uncomfortable and the 2x4’s used, I’m assuming to further secure the bed frames, make so much noise that you can’t get a good nights sleep if you move just a little bit. We had high expectations as Phil was quite thorough in regards to information regarding the property prior to our stay but we were ultimately disappointed.

We had such a wonderful time here! The owner was amazing—always quick to respond, usually within minutes. There was so much to do right on the property—volleyball, basketball, cornhole, and of course, the pool. The best part was being able to bring our dog along for the fun. It truly felt like a home away from home, and we can’t wait to come back

Great house for our family of 6. Quiet nice neighborhood. The kitchen is well stocked for cooking and the huge deck is perfect for after dinner relaxing. The host is very attentive and made sure our stay was nice and enjoyable. The pool is a perfect size and refreshing after a day at the beach. Would stay here again.

Great house

The house was clean and beautiful and the owner is a great host! The property is in a quiet neighborhood, but is within minutes to shopping and resturants. This was a wonderful place to stay for a relaxing and fun vacation.

We stayed for 7 nights. When we first arrived we could tell the property wasn't as clean as we had preferred. The bathrooms were okay but the floors were dirty and the kitchen had a strange smell. We had to spend a day cleaning to get it to our standards. Overall, we did enjoy our stay.

Fantastic stay!

This house has everything you could need for a beach stay. It’s located in a nice quiet neighborhood that’s great for walking. Restaurants and entertainment are close by and the beach access is a quick drive away. Highly recommend!

Great vacation home

The owner/contact was extremely gracious communicative and helpful!The home is well kept with mini activities for a family on site. The best thing about this home is that there are three bathrooms! The neighborhood is lovely. The location of this home is perfect as you can take a short walk to a trail and walk by the water and on sand dunes. The property is also close to grocery stores and a very small outlet if you’re in the mood to shop.

Perfect dog friendly Christmastime OBX rental

We had a great rental experience with Phil at his Nags Head rental home. Before arrival Phil personally called to provide us with detailed rental information for our stay, which was greatly appreciated. The house is in a perfect location of Nags Head being close to groceries, restaurants, and OBX attractions while still feeling secluded in a cul de sac area between the Sound and the Ocean. Upon arrival we found the house to be just as Phil described in the rental listing and as he told us when we spoke to him. The house was VERY clean! The linens, bedding, and towels were provided, and the beds were already made for us. I especially enjoyed the quality of the bath/hand towels that Phil provides. The kitchen is very well equipped with many appliances, plenty of cutlery, dishes, glasses and cooking utensils
 you’ll certainly have what you’ll need to prepare your meals while staying here. My husband and I and our small dog were very comfortable and settled in nicely during our Christmas vacation. We stayed busy during our stay enjoying all of the National Parks, sights and natural beauty that the Outer Banks offers. We enjoyed the gas fireplace every time we were home, which added a nice relaxing feel.We would love to stay here again. We would highly recommend renting Phil’s OBX home.

Great Stay

We had a great stay in Nags Head...the house had everything we needed and was spacious enough for our family and extended family. Near both sides of the island and also near shopping, it was a great location! Highly recommended.

Last minute birthday getaway

We were originally going to West Virginia for the weekend when our stay was snowed out. Thankfully we were able to book last minute and the place was amazing. Perfect for my husband and I as well as two other couples. We were centrally located to all the sites, stores and restaurants. The house was clean and comfortable and Phil was an amazing host. We will definitely be looking to stay here again!

Great stay in OBX

House was as listed and was plenty large enough to accommodate 6 family members comfortably. Pool was used daily to cool off during hot afternoons. Short walk to Soundside and short drive to beach. Jockey’s Ridge is a must see at sunset! Plenty of restaurants, shopping, site seeing nearby. Great week.

Enjoyed oyr Stay

The family enjoyed our vacation and the location was perfect for the grandkids who loved the sound when days at the beach had Red flags for rip tides. They also liked having a pool to cool off. This rental is in a family community and very safe. Sunrises and Sunsets are gorgeous. The property owner is very responsive if you have a conern and handles it immediately. This is a great place for all!

Relaxing by the pool, fishing and going to both the sound and ocean beaches, climbing the dunes and the great restaurants, light houses, shopping, art galleries and nature walks.The peacefull secluded setting,the many sports amenities at the house,walking distance to a soundside beach(great for young children)and climbing the dunes at Jockyes Ridge State Park.Three minute ride to the ocean with free public parking.
