This is a family friendly home with a great location. It had everything we needed in the kitchen. We would love to go back. Village Realty was great in response time to questions we had.

This house was lovely! My family and I enjoyed our first time to OBX. Location to everything was perfect! The comes with every convenience you need to prepare meals at home. Beds were comfy! Awesome price for the July 4th holidays!

The pictures are of a newly renovated cottage. The beds needed new mattresses, pillows, and covers. Fans needed maintenance and lights bulbs needed in several appliances and TV remotes. Grill was left dirty from previous renters. Drains in bathrooms stopped up. Overall a very nice private and quiet property.

Front rooms and bathrooms looked good. Both bathrooms had a patch on the wall near the toilet that had not been painted. One of the shower curtains had some mold. Front room and kitchen looked fantastic. A bath towel had some large stains on it. Outside needs some general maintenance, vines growing up the back of the house and lots of cobwebs (both to be expected in this area). Overall the stay was very nice. There were beach chairs and umbrellas in the laundry room.

Cousin trip

Wanted to show my cousin all the reasons why I love OBX, only had 3 days, but we had a great time. The house is very well kept. My truck fit underneath, which was great with the rain and the heat. We enjoyed the screened in porch and the back entrance toJockey’s Ridge.

Our first impression of the house was mixed.We asked for an early arrival as we had to evacuate our former location due to hurricane Erin. We were informed that this is only possible for a fee of 250 !!! and you have to ask 30 days in advance. There was very old and dirty furniture underneath the house. The house itself was clean and well equipped for our family of 5. The covered patio next to the living room was also not very clean, especially the floor.

Overall, we had a great stay. The house was spacious, well-equipped, and located in an excellent area. We appreciated the amenities provided and found the property to be very comfortable overall.There are a few maintenance and safety items that should be addressed before future guests arrive. First, the glass swinging entry door presents a potential safety concern, particularly for children and older adults. The door does not close smoothly and appears to be missing or lacking a properly adjusted hydraulic closer. As a result, it swings shut quickly and unexpectedly, which could potentially cause injury if someone does not clear the doorway in time.Additionally, the solar lights along the stairwells and in the parking area beneath the house were not functioning during our stay. The motion-sensor lights also did not appear to work. Adequate lighting is especially important for guests navigating the stairs after dark, particularly older individuals.The tree adjacent to the stairwell should also be trimmed back, as several branches extend into the walkway and brush against guests while using the stairs.The hot tub was out of service during our visit. If it is not expected to be operational for the foreseeable future, it may be helpful to remove it from the property listing or clearly communicate its status to guests to avoid disappointment and confusion.Finally, some attention should be given to the exterior of the property gutters full and dead cockroaches on screened porch

The property was great, we only had one snag where the Amazon Fire Stick in the master bedroom and the living room were not working and prevented us from being able to watch anything on those TVs. We called to notify someone on our second day (A Thursday) after trying to troubleshoot it ourselves. The lady in the office was very nice and helpful. We were told someone would likely come by for it the next day as we had called late afternoon that day. I'm not sure how the request was handled from there but we got a text that Maintenance was starting our request on Friday and when we got back that night the TVs were still not working. We didnt bother reporting it again because we were going to be out of the house for most of our remaining trip anyway, however two days later when we made a stop at the house on Sunday, Maintenance was there working on the TVs. We weren't made aware anyone was going to be back at the property that day. The maintenance man was very kind but we told him not to even worry about it at this point since we were going to be checking out the next morning. Luckily this problem was a very minor one for us since we dont use the TVs much anyway, it was just a little frustrating to deal with. Overall the stay was awesome and we'll be keeping this property saved as an option for future trips.

Excellent July 4th Getaway

This property is a perfect rest from the excitement of the nearby beach and bustling traffic of the Outer Banks. The property has ample parking with both screened and unscreened porches. The combination kitchen, living and dining room offer an open feel that is perfect for a beach vacation. The bedrooms are well-sized with comfortable beds and exceptional storage space. On the extremely small list of complaints, the front screen door is a bit strong, there was a propane grill that was unlisted for use, and the outside shower will require some spider web removal. I will gladly book this property again in the future. It is less than 3 minutes drive to ample public beach access and a quick 10 minute walk to a state park on the bay. There are multiple 3-4 mile running routes for anyone hoping to get a quick workout. Internet service was high speed and accommodated 4 adults easily with zero blackouts. The air conditioning was stellar and kept everyone comfortable. Access grocery stores is less than 10 minutes away with multiple restaurants serving a variety of food.
