Review of La Sieste

We enjoyed our month at La Sieste. The home is located in a quiet but very convenient area of Carmel and the mountain views are amazing, with gorgeous gardens. The spaces are perfect, plenty of room for 6 people. The updates made to the home are nice, though stopped short of a full renovation. We loved the fireplace, the sofas and large TV, the French doors and windows all along the back of the house. The kitchen was well stocked and appliances were good. Having access to the garage and the new washer/dryer was great. The things that we did not love were the somewhat flimsy mattresses that were quite soft in all bedrooms (same w/pillows), and the outdoor furniture isn't comfortable enough for longer sittings, unfortunately. King beds would fit in both of the secondary bedrooms, and that would have been preferred over the queens. Mirrors in both the secondary bedrooms would have been nice as well. Also, some non-breakable drinkware in the kitchen would be a good addition and could replace some of the excess wine glasses. Wall mounted hand towel holders in both bathrooms would be nice in order to keep those off the countertops. A couple of beach chairs would also have been useful. We were very happy with Sanctuary Vacation Rentals.
