Sky Island - Meredith Lodging

You’ll have your own oceanfront island of vacation luxury above magnificent Alsea Bay with a stay in this beautifully updated single-level home. Sky Island’s sweeping oceanfront views of the Pacific and the entrance to Waldport with its sand-spit squadron of harbor seals make a magical setting for time at the coast. You’ll watch the ebb and flow of the tides from a fantastically remodeled home with stunning wood flooring and contemporary furnishings. Even better, the space outdoors includes an ocean-view firepit, a hot tub, and seating on the deck for gazing at the sea. The living room includes plush sofas and chairs, large windows, and an electric fireplace in the handsome stone hearth. You’ll dine in style with an ocean view in two directions from a table with banquette seating. A sparkly blue and white kitchen has all you’ll need to whip up a feast, including access to a barbecue on the deck outside.

A king bedroom and two bedrooms with a total of seven twin beds makes this a wonderful home for an extended family—or invite extra friends to join you! A bonus room with a TV and sofa gives your guests a little extra space to relax. You can walk to delicious food at the Hilltop Café-Bistro or drive into Waldport for dining and shopping. Rent a boat at the marina and crab in the bay. Explore the many beaches and forest hikes nearby: Cape Perpetua, Yachats and Heceta Head are all minutes away. We have a new favorite place to stay in Waldport! This house looks like it is right out of a Nancy Meyers movie, it was bright and beautiful, very warm and comfortable. The views are amazing! We spent hours at the dining table doing a puzzle and watching the seals and fishermen. The beds were very comfortable. The trail to the beach was fine for our family, it was a little steep and the last 10 feet it could be hard for young kids and older visitors but there is beach access just down the road. Waldport is a great town with fun antique stores and really good restaurants. We don’t know why the house had the one poor review we thought it was great and we will definitely stay here again!!

The views from this house are absolutely unreal We didn't even leave to explore as much as we planned bc just being at this house was the best. We even stayed in at night to cook! I won't knock a star off, but I didn't figure out how to close the primary bedroom door until the morning we checked out. I wish I had a bit of privacy. Turns out you can close it, but you have to move the bed a bit, which I'm just not comfy doing in someone else's home. The hot tub was ready and steamy, a definite luxury plus. Thank you for having us, we would definitely come back
