Looking for something unforgettable? Sleep under the stars in a geodesic dome (sleeps 2 | $100/night) or kick back in a fully equipped, stylish Airstream (sleeps 3 | $150/night).

Candace's lakefront property on Shawingan Lake was absolutely perfect. It comfortably accommodated our group of six. There are lots of great areas to hang out, and we very much enjoyed the sauna/hot tub area. The lake was serene and lovely. Candace was great to deal with. Highly recommend.

She went back to the property after we had left, to help find a backpack that was accidentally thrown into the trash due to it being in a black plastic bag. We were so grateful she found it and we arranged to have it picked up.

We had the most incredible family stay! The location on the arm of Shawnigan Lake was absolutely perfect, and the home worked so well for hosting our family from Victoria. Having the trailer, the sprinter van, and the dome made everything so convenient and comfortable. Speaking with Candace was a pleasure—she’s truly one of the best hosts I’ve ever worked with. Our experience was amazing from start to finish. Absolutely five stars!

Third time staying at this property. Beautiful as always. The new hot tub was a big hit as well as the artificial turf down on the dock. Lots of towels for us to use, new beds all sorts of small upgrades that really made us feel at home. The putting green had lots of use as always. The three fire pits all got their use as well. We will definitely be back.

This is a wonderful place for a family getaway. There is everything kids would want…a nice dock, hot tub, paddle boards, golf green, table tennis, arcade game, fuse ball, darts, etc.The home is very comfortable and clean …comfy beds too. Kitchen is well equipped, appliances all new. Just needed a salad spinner. Location and views on the lake were very pretty! Grounds were well kept and well lit.Candace responded very quickly any time I contacted her with a question before and during our stay.Only frustration for my working adult kids was the internet was sketchy ….not sure if that was a provider issue or house modem problem. Overall, our kiddos had a ball!!!

We had an amazing stay at Candace’s place and absolutely loved the unit! The home is spacious with so many rooms, including fun secret attic spaces that made the stay even more interesting. Everything was very clean, and the additional half bathroom near the first-floor bedrooms was a great and convenient touch. bbThe kitchen was well equipped with everything needed for cooking, plus BBQ equipment, which we really appreciated. The living room was cozy and inviting, especially with the fireplace—it made the space feel warm and comfortable.The basement was a huge highlight. It was fully set up for entertainment with a table tennis table, Peloton, arcade machine, Netflix, and even a bathroom down there.From the unit, we could enjoy a beautiful lake view and even access the water directly. Just a heads-up for April stays—the water is still very cold! That said, we still managed a quick dip before sunbathing and warming up in the hot tub and sauna, which was such a great experience.Overall, we truly loved the unit and had a fantastic time. Thank you so much for hosting us, Candace!Small notes for future guests:• The stairs to the basement don’t have a railing, which might be something to consider if traveling with small children.• The living room table is artistic, unique, and beautiful (I personally loved it), but the tip may not be child‑proof.There were no kids in our group, so neither of these were an issue for us. It doesn’t get much better than this. The cottage is great - very private, quiet, super clean, and comfortably accommodated our family of 8. Plus the lake views are mesmerizing. We loved spending most days on the dock and in the water. Perfect! The cottage is very well equipped with amenities and activities for the entire family. To top it off, Candace was a great host. We were certainly sad to leave.

The house and property are amazing! Lots of room - both for mingling as well as if people need their own space. The dock was amazing - out in the lake with lots of space to relax for the whole group. And the water access is very good. The kitchen was well stocked with tools - including the BBQ which was phenomenal. There were however a ton of spiders outside - like a crazy amount. So much so that we didn’t really want to sit on the outdoor furniture. We intended to sit outside with the propane fire pit for one night but got a bit creeped out. But they were outside, and it was a very forested area so it’s not a surprise. Overall though the house was great, the water was great, and we had a great time!
