Outdoor Living: furnished front and back decks.

Security system is located on front deck and back deck for property and guest security, required by our current property insurance provider. Absolutely NO camera devices are inside cabin. First aid kit in kitchen cabinet, smoke detector and carbon monoxide detectors also in cabin. No smoking in or on property, no deep fryers or fire pits, bc of fire spark danger. We are in national forest. We are on the mountain side close to The Lodge; in fact, you can walk to end of one street and see the golf course with lots of resident elks! A beautiful, scenic drive takes you to Alamogordo and White Sands. Drive through the Mescalero Apache Indian Reservation to Ruidosa for more fun. Hiking trail info is in cabin. Go to Cloudcroft Chamber of Commerce for a list of all activities and festivals.

You must be 23 to secure a reservation.

All payments are handled through VRBO only.

No smoking in cabin or on property, no pets.

Parking is directly in front of cabin, the length of cabin only. We can accommodate 2 cars parallel parked. Please do not block the short driveway, as neighbor must be able to drive through. The long driveway to right, facing cabin, is private property and cannot be used.

It is in a great location off the main street as you come into cloudcroft. It Is a quiet, peaceful neighborhood. Clean and organized inside and out. Does have central heat, so on chilly nights you stay warm. The host will respond to any questions you have. We enjoyed the mountains.

The HVAC thermostat would only heat to 70 degrees and would reset to 55 degrees automatically a few hours later. Also, the variation in the levels of the floors creates a tripping hazard.

This was our 2nd visit to Jana’s cabin. The cabin is in a great location and Jana has made our stays as easy as possible. Great communication with easy instructions. Jana is very easy to get in touch with and her cabin is stocked with everything you need for a comfortable stay. We will be back!

Unexpected pleasure

My friend and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this cabin. It was very clean, I loved how eclectic the decor was, very well equipped, and extremely comfortable. We enjoyed sitting out on the front deck and watching the deer come into the front yard in the evenings. Thank you for such a relaxing and wonderful quiet weekend. We both said we would come back and stay again.

Cozy Cabin with Great Front Porch

We enjoyed our stay, the cabin worked well for our group and was a central point for visits to Lincoln Forest hiking trails, White Sands, Valley of Fires, and the Space Museum in Alamogordo. Kitchen had all we needed to make most of our meals. The front porch was great in the mornings and the hummingbird traffic was crazy busy. Grandkids were delighted to see wild horses and elk in the neighborhood. My granddaughter tells me to include her review - she loved it!

Great colorful cabin!

We all loved the cabin. Easy to get to shops downtown as well as restaurants. Everyone in town was super nice. The owner of the propertywas quick to answer any question I had. Seemed very friendly. VRBO communicated very well too. Booking was easy.

Great Cabin in Cloudcroft

This was an amazing property! The staff was very responsive and caring. The place was stocked with everything you would need kitchen wise. It was amazingly clean, and centrally located in the town so that everything was just a short trip away if you wanted to go somewhere. The front and back porches were amazing to sit and drink tea and watch the birds. I recommend this place to anyone looking to relax in the mountains!

Coffee maker

The Keurig coffee maker not working, and no one coming to check on it was disappointing. The other coffee maker did not make good coffee at all. We missed having coffee on the deck in the mornings.
