We’re disappointed by this review, as it leaves out important context. When the guests reported an issue with the furnace, we responded immediately and determined there was air in the propane line. We bled the line and restored proper operation. We personally attended the property the following day, confirmed the systems were functioning properly, and replenished both generator fuel and water. As a goodwill gesture, we provided $100 compensation and complimentary firewood. We also offered the guests the option to cancel the remainder of their stay if they were not satisfied. They declined and chose to stay. This property is clearly advertised as a luxury off-grid camping experience, with power supplied by a generator. We have hosted many guests who have thoroughly enjoyed this unique experience, including many returning guests. The BBQ was also checked during our visit and was operational. A grease fire while cooking is not evidence of a propane or BBQ malfunction. We made every reasonable effort to address their concerns and stand behind the experience we provide.

This omits important facts. At check-in I explained the off-grid water system and asked that water be conserved. Just 3½ hours later, the tank was empty and I paid for an emergency refill. We later learned 2–3 additional carloads of unregistered guests attended an unauthorized karaoke party. Checkout was an hour late, instructions weren’t followed, garbage was left outside and additional cleaning was required. The $150 was for water delivery and cleaning—not arbitrary charges.
