Dad’s Hangout

Property update 11/16/25 Finished privacy fence. Working on shed and driveway for tool trailer. As always no work performed during guest stay and worksite picked up and secured.

Welcome to "Dad's Hangout". House was purchased for me to live in. When my daughter didn’t want me to move out it became dad’s hangout. When purchased the house was bank owned. The house was unlivable when purchased. The work on the house was centered on trying to reuse as much as possible. The house has a way to go for completion but is ready to rent.

Located in a 1950's area of town. Home is centrally located in a Quiet Neighborhood. Close to shopping and restaurants. Go South for Old Town with local merchants and family-owned dining establishments. Or go East for a modern experience. Mostly chain restaurants and shopping. Also, the mall is located there. Thrill-seekers can try a range of adventure sports while our museums, shops, and galleries are perfect for those looking for something a little gentler.

With its new plumbing, heating, air conditioning, and electrical service the house is safe and comfortable. Located in a quiet neighborhood and close to shopping.

2 bedrooms with Queen beds and black out curtains. One bedroom has TV, extra blankets, space heater, iron, luggage stand, and ironing board. The other room has an adjustable bed. The living/dining room has WIFI, 65" TV, stereo system and small futon. Futon can be used for an extra bed. Large Kitchen with breakfast bar has all the amenities needed for meals. Drip coffee maker with complementary coffee. All new bathroom with tub/shower and hair drier. Linen closet has plenty of towels and first aid kit. Laundry room includes. Washer, drier, and soap.
Outdoor living is now available. New concrete patio with cover in back. Table with 4 chairs on patio. Patio also has a propane barbecue, Bluetooth speakers, and fire pit with wood. The front has seating for 2 with small table. Smoking allowed in outside areas. Please clean up ash trays. Added safety feature. Interior locks have been installed on all exterior doors. Update 11/8/2024: Due to changing laws VRBO has requested me to cancel additional fees. Cleaning fee has been removed. The cleaning fee was in place to discourage one-night stays. I have changed to a minimum of two-night stays. Pet fee has been removed. No more pets allowed at this time. If you have already booked a stay with pets that is okay.

Travel Agent recommended! My kids and I enjoy vacation rentals when traveling and of the three we've stayed in this year, this is the only one we didn't want to leave. It was comfortable, clean, updated, well stocked with kitchen, linen, and toiletry items, felt spacious for a two bedroom, close to restaurants, shopping, and fun. We appreciated the host's recommendation for Berg Park, too. We will return and now, I have a great place and experiences to provide to clients going to Farmington!

Great House

We stayed for 5 nights and it was wonderful. Has everything you could possibly need for an enjoyable trip. Large 2 br house. Recently renovated with new appliances and a Weber grill. Quiet neighborhood with a driveway and street parking. Nearby shopping and restaurants. Close to a beautiful riverside park and several historical attractions. Highly recommend.

Great house & location

The house was clean and in excellent condition. The kitchen had many appliances and utensils available for use and a supermarket is 2 minutes away. The laundry room was well stocked. Farmington is a wonderful town with local eateries and national store chains. It is also a great location for various day trips. We got a lot of hiking in. Communication with the owner was a breeze. We would highly recommend Farmington & this house to anyone traveling to the Four Corners area.

Great Hangout!

Would stay here a fourth time!

This was the perfect place to stay and to have everything I needed to visit Farmington. This was my third stay at “Dad’s Hangout” (this VRBO) and the place is always as nice, clean and equipped as the last. The owner is very kind and reliable. Dale makes it easy to check in and out and you’ll have everything you need!

Great Stay in Small Town

Overall, we have nothing negative to say about Dad’s Hangout. It was the best place we could’ve stayed in Farmington, centrally located between all the places we messed to be. Since we have church family who live in Farmington, we will definitely be booking another stay in the future at this Vrbo!

We had a great stay! Dale’s property was amongst the cleanest rentals we’ve ever stayed at. All the property info was clearly explained in the manual provided. Even the well-stocked linen closet was clearly labeled! It was fantastic. Quiet location, centrally located. Pictures are exactly as the property is in person. Thanks for a great stay!

Perfect Everything

Our family lives in Farmington and we like to have a place of our own while visiting. THIS IS IT! Lovely space, great amenities and comfortable just like home. This will be our ‘go to’ place when we return for visits.
