Glamping en A-Frame près du parc national Denali

Welcome to the Bear cabin! this small A-Frame is 8x12 feet but is configured to be comfortable and have all the essentials you need for a cozy, glamping experience.
there is a full sized bed and a roll out bed. There's a kitchenette that's fully stocked with pots, pans, utensils, cooking oil, salt & pepper and more. We also provide coffee & tea fixings as well.
There is a private outhouse pit toilet with water & soap for hand washing provided.
There is a small solar setup up for charging small like phones and tablets, but it's limited for sunny days.
there is NO running water - we provide clean drinking & washing water, but there are no showers.
You can pay $5 for a shower at the Vitus gas station or RV Park just a couple miles up the road. They also have laundry.

There is a little outdoor area with a hammock, fire pit and camp chairs.

The cabin is heated with a propane heater and we provide extra blankets for chilly nights.

this stay is best for 2, but can accommodate a 3rd person. if you have a bigger group, ask us about our 2 other rentals!

There are other guests usually on property so expect to see others, but you will still have plenty of privacy.


This rental is Located at the home of Wildthingz Dog Mushing, professional sled dog team of Iditarod and Yukon Quest musher Richie Beattie and wife Emily Rosenblatt. We live with our 37 Alaskan Huskies and offer a summer sled dog tour. Ask us for details - we offer 20% off for our rental guests!

well behaved dogs are welcome, but must be leashed at all times and notify us if you're bringing a dog please!

The property is 30 minutes from Denali National Park, a perfect distance from the activities and trails you may be interested in exploring while getting out of the busier hub of tourism.

You must have a vehicle to stay here. There is no public transportation, Lyft or Uber in the area so we recommend arranging a rental in anchorage/Fairbanks before arriving.

Awesome Alaska experience. Picturesque location away from crowds. Host Emily is very friendly and accomodating. I really enjoyed chatting with her, meeting some of the Wildthingz 37 huskies, and learning about their life in Alaska as dog mushers. The cabin was well laid out and had all we needed in the way of cooking facilities, chairs, blankets, heating etc. Highly recommend this property if you like to get away from mainstream tourism and have an authentic Alaska experience.

The cabin is located on the mountain, with a fabulous and phenomenal view of the Denali peaks. The location is truly off the grid, and staying here feels like stepping away from modern urban life and experiencing the same simple lifestyle as your hosts.This is definitely not a place to expect regular hotel service, so if that’s your standard, you may be disappointed. But if you’re a backpacker, outdoor enthusiast, or simply looking for a unique adventure, this place feels like a luxury spot in the wilderness. There’s a warm and comfortable bed, a gas heater to keep you cozy, and a cooktop so you can prepare a warm meal.One of the most unforgettable parts of our stay was spending the nights with the sled dogs. They were such a special part of the experience, and we absolutely loved being greeted by few dogs when we arrived!Emily and Richie are a lovely couple who genuinely tried their best to make our stay comfortable and enjoyable. Their hospitality made the experience even more special.If you want to escape urban life for a while, reconnect with nature, and experience something truly different, this is a perfect choice.

Owner/manager was great. excellent customer service, she made sure that we felt safe and helped us with every question. All the amenities were there. Except food. We would have enjoyed it more if it didn’t rain the whole time we were there. Could improve on out house and cookware.

The hosts are lovely. The dogs are beautiful and friendly. The accommodations have all the necessities for cooking, staying warm at night, drinking water, and nice comfortable bedding. Cozy space for 3 guests but very manageable. If you can swing the mushing tour it's 100% worth it.

Amazing!

If you want to get away from all the other tourists and enjoy the Alaskan wilderness, this is your spot! Comfortable, off-grid tent cabin on Emily and Richie's homestead with an amazing view of Denali from your camp chair. About 40 minutes from the entrance to Denali National Park. Friendly owners. Great dogs! Got to "camp" in Alaska without bringing any of my gear.

The perfect “glamping” spot

My friends and I had a great time spending our trip to Denali on Emily’s property. The views were beautiful and the tent was packed with everything we might need. It was also very cool going on their dog mushing tour and meeting all the dogs! Emily was very communicative about anything we might need and was always just one text away if we ever had any questions. Overall we had an amazing trip and we’re very satisfied with our stay!

Our property is also among one of the most beautiful sceneries in Denali. We boast a view of the Talkeetna and Alaska ranges, as well as Denali when she is out for viewing!
