This charming 2 bedroom, 2 bathroom home on the Dolores river is newly remodeled and tastefully decorated throughout. Enjoy a quiet day of fishing followed by peaceful enjoyment of the night sky on the covered porch or a beautiful drive to Telluride. The area provides many trails of varied difficulty for hiking, biking, or ATV riding. Mesa Verde National Park is a short 30 minute drive away. Everything you need for an extended stay are provided for you: all new kitchen appliances, with dishwasher, microwave, coffee maker, dishes and cookware, washer and dryer.

Great spot on the Dolores

My parents, husband and I all enjoyed our stay in this cute cabin. We usually stay about 20 min up the mountain, but we needed an alternative as our usual space was not available. My dad mentioned several times how he liked this property more than where we have stayed for the last 30+ years! We loved the porch, having two bedrooms and bathrooms and being able to walk just a little bit to the river. Two drawbacks - the road noise and the mosquitos! We definitely didn’t let that hinder our stay, though.

SO convenient

We chose this Dolores riverfront retreat as our home base for our trip to southern Colorado. It was the perfect jumping off point for our adventures in Mesa Verde and Durango. We didn't actually spend much time at the cabin since we were up and away shortly after the sun came up and stayed "out" exploring the area until 7:00ish each evening. The house is small but well-arranged and offered us a great spot to kick off our hiking boots, cook dinner and visit about the days' adventures. The sound of the river behind the house was so very relaxing. The house is very near the highway, but there was minimal highway noise at night. Bill was an amazing host. He responded to questions and concerns quickly. He offered great suggestions on everything from where to shop for groceries to where to go hiking and fishing. He even weighed in on how to fight off mosquitoes. It was a great trip!

private getaway

You feel a world away at this property - beautiful setting, quiet retreat but only a short drive from Dolores. Enjoyed using the grill, watching rafters float by and grabbing some great meals in town (Loops cafe and Mi Tequila). River was running a bit too rough for fishing in May but would probably be a great spot once the snow melt slows into summer.

SW Colorado Exploration

The house and location were excellent. Beautiful property on the river and within an easy drive of numerous National Parks and National Monuments. House has everything you need for your base camp with a nice kitchen and outdoor grill. Bill was a great host and easy to connect with for any questions.

Fall Retreat

Very nice house with a great location. Enjoyed roasting marsh mellows nightly over a fire right on the river. Convenient to Dolores for restaurants and essentials. Nice day trip to Telluride. Fall colors were beautiful. We had a wonderful and relaxing stay.

What attracted us was the back porch and direct access to the river. The porch and planting area were very nice for relaxing, and the river although low at the time was great just to sit in. My husband caught a bunch of fish at different spots along the river.

Beautiful Getaway

This is a very rare place that has river access and no neighbors. Completely private. Right on the highway so a bit noisy during the day and nights are very quiet. Close to Dolores & Cortez for supplies. ~1 hour from Telluride. Charming clean house with historical structures on the property. Good WiFi for that area too. I will be back...

Springtime in Dolores

The house was clean, well appointed and as pictured. Communication with Bill was easy, fast, and friendly. The riverside location is peaceful and lovely. We have friends in the area and will certainly be back and look forward to staying here again.
