Excellent place for our large family gathering. Wonderful location right on Lake Marie with 2 nice fire pits, kayaks, and water floaties to enjoy the water. 2 full kitchens and good seating inside and outside for a large group.

This was such a nice place for our trip. We enjoyed the area, the rooms, the kitchens, and the outside. The kitchens don’t have many serving utensils or bowls, so that might be a good thing to bring more of! The bunk beds were very squeaky but the rest of the beds were great. Definitely would stay here again.

Beautiful home, spacious and comfortable. Enough room for up to 16 people. Outside living space is gorgeous and relaxing. Large island in upper and lower space for large family gatherings. The Host always responds in a timely fashion. I will definitely have this on my places to refer in the Six Flags area. .

Home was clean and luxurious. 2 full kitchens, plenty of nice beds, very nice bathrooms with dual headed showers. Outdoor set up was also really nice. Great furniture, dual fire pits, and two grills (one flat top one regular.) Lake access was perfect, private boat launch and firewood included. Host was very easy to communicate with. Definitely will return.

Nice space. Large kitchen and group areas. Ample bedrooms. Plenty of towels and bedding. Shed that had kayaks and water floats. Outside seating. Laundry facilities. Plentiful parking. But. Honestly. Not very clean. There were food crumbs in the drawers, rugs not vacuumed, ants in lower level kitchen, mold on ceiling in upstairs bathroom. Contacted the owner, he offered to have the cleaning staff return during our stay but we didn’t accept as would have interfered with our short time at the rental. A few things could be fixed to … like upstairs sliding screen door, bathtub, closet doors. Overall a nice space for a group but needs a bit of attention.

Girl’s Weekend

We had a wonderful long weekend at this property located on the Lake Marie shoreline. The house layout was perfect for the 10 of us! Very clean when we arrived and no issues during our stay!

Visiting our Carthage student

Our family gathered to visit our Carthage (Kenosha) student and view a lacrosse game. There was plenty of space for all and the outdoor area was very nice for eating and relaxing. Loved that there were multiple refrigerators, huge islands in the kitchen and a grill. We rented both units and had plenty of space for 12 people.

Family vacation

Good location. Fun toys for the lake, plenty of space. My only complaints, was fire pit on right side had garbage in it. I cleaned out. The black stone was not cleaned. Again we left in better condition but should be checked. We definitely needed a whisk! We were going to buy one for you but didn’t remember.

Great, but a few improvements could help

Overall the house was great. One thing is that the lake isn’t great for swimming. The bottom is rocky and one person cut their foot pretty badly. Not the fault of the host, just something to be aware of. For the house I’d recommend more dish towels for the kitchen. There was only one towel for the kitchen. Some of the soap dispensers were filled with a gross smelling body wash, and one of the dispensers weren’t refilled before our stay. There was a swim diaper left in the fire pit. Again, overall it’s a nice house!

Okay stay. Fit our needs but could have been better.

The price was right, but that did come with sacrifices. There was dust and cobwebs. The top bunks were not made, no bed had sheets; so at night we had to search and find bedding and make each individual bed. The stairs inside are not ADA compliant and very unsafe. We had many falls and would highly recommend getting them fixed. Our local guide was non responsive when we needed assistance. Using a rental company lacks hospitality and it shows. While we did have enough plates, space and such; it had some serious flaws. It was a 3 out of 5 but I would hesitate to book again.

Great place, great little town, great host, would recommend (and have already) to anyone! We had four families with 21 people total and it didn’t feel tight like other places have. This is a book it and stay place, we didn’t leave much, swim or fish off the dock, rent a boat, play yard games, kayak, have a fire or two! Our only complaint is the bedrooms upstairs felt quite warm at night. Host said that they’re getting A/C units installed, once that happens this place will be incredible.
