This was a beautiful, very clean ,well kept cottage situated on a picturesque lake in a great location. The owner was great to work with. The only issue I would say is , that backing down the lane way can be a little tricky , but you also are able to park up by the garage , as long as you can manage the stairs down to the entrance of the cottage.

Thank you for your kind response. I can understand your concern with the driveway it is narrow but it’s great for getting really close to the door for unloading. Unfortunately with all the rock on the property there isn’t an option to widened it. Thanks so much for the feedback. Glad you enjoyed your stay

We enjoyed all the comforts of Sunrise Bay Cottage (and there are many)! The kitchen really is fully stocked and the pantry kept us organized. The views from inside and out are all amazing; tranquil and beautiful. It was great to see the morning mist in motion, the swans in the bay, and an otter climbing ashore. Even learned a little history about Burleigh Road...Beyond the Boulders....Looking forward to the opportunity to stay again; such a great place to unwind. Many thanks to Cathy & Jim.

We really enjoyed this cottage based on it's location and amenities . The cottage is very close to Burleigh Falls and one of the Trent-Severn waterways. We were able to take the kayaks (supplied by host) and explore this beautiful area. This cottage is pet-friendly with plenty to explore and walking trails (10-15 min)close by. Amazing view of the lake from the deck/dock, which is where we spent a lot of time. There is a firepit that is closer towards the entry of the cottage, however, you can still see a bit of the lake from its location. There are quite a few stairs to get down to the lake, but the view that you get from the back deck is worth it. The highway is close by, so you will hear a bit of traffic. This did not bother us at all, the view more then makes up for this. We will definitely be booking this location again based on our amazing experience.

My sister and I had a wonderful stay at Sunrise Cottage! Cathy and Jim were fantastic hosts! Friendly, communicative, and quick to respond. The cottage was spotless, well-equipped, and had everything we needed.The best part was the incredible lake view from every room and the beautiful dock. We loved starting our mornings with coffee while watching the sunrise, it truly lives up to its name!!We can’t wait to rent this cottage again!
