You're walking distance to almost everything that matters — 17th Ave's restaurants, bars, and shops are right there, Stephen Avenue and the downtown core are a quick walk north, and you're less than 10 minutes to the Saddledome, BMO Centre, and Stampede grounds.
What I love most is the mix. The Beltline is lively without being touristy — some of Calgary's best coffee shops, late-night spots, and independent restaurants tucked between modern towers and historic brick buildings. The Bow River pathways are a few minutes north if you want to walk or run along the water, and the C-Train can take you anywhere else in the city in minutes.
It's the kind of neighborhood where you can leave the car parked (or skip the rental car entirely) and actually experience Calgary on foot. For weekend getaways, work trips, and longer stays alike, it's hard to beat.
