Our home offers a large fenced in backyard with a seperate dog run for your pets to enjoy. Bring the family, furry friends too, and enjoy this split floor plan perfect for meeting your getaway needs! Full use of all amenities including the back yard. All bed linens, towels, shampoo, soaps are provided. Make yourself at home and celebrate friends and family.

We stayed at your charming home. There were a few issues which I have listed. I am a person that will always give an opportunity to correct. I will not write a negative review which can destroy someone’s business.Please consider the following:This place is charming with lots of character. I appreciate that you had shampoo and body wash. The water is very hot perhaps too hot. Also loved the towels. Please do not advertise that it is a chefs kitchen. The kitchen is spacious but there are no tools. I was expecting more but I had a suspicion. My cousins and I are bakers. I have a food license in the state of Minnesota. I brought a kitchen aid mixer, all the baking tools(spatulas, bowls, rolling pin, measuring spoons, pans, baking ingredients, baggies, aluminum foil, wraps, knives, whisk, etc) we did buy two new tools and left in the drawer. Musty smell, tried to get rid of. All the baking we did helped. We replaced the batteries in the remote and the clock in the living roomThe refrigerator was dirty. We cleaned itThe washer and dryer were full of clothes, we dried and folded the laundry. The dishwasher was full of dishes. Dead bugs on the window sillsNo dish rags or dish towels (we did buy 8 dish rags and we left them)Cleaned and organized the small pantry to left of frig. Threw away outdated items. No hot pads. We bought hot pads and left. Rug under dining table, badly stained. It was that way when we came. One cracked glass on the shelf,

Disappointed

There were three of us in our party. 60’s year old lifelong friends for a weekend to visit and catch up. Check-in was a breeze, kitchen was great, and Wi-Fi access was great. The house was decorated cute. The window blind in one bedroom had several slats broken leaving a gaping hole so that no one wanted to sleep in that room. We opened the back door to go in the back yard, and the door wouldn’t close back so we had chairs propped in front of it all night. Contacted the host via message and wasn’t addressed until the next evening. There was no hot water for showers, only barely lukewarm. The rug under the dining table was dirty like it had not been vacuumed. These were the main issues. We enjoyed historic downtown McKinney.

Beware of the pictures

The pictures show a nice, quaint home but it doesn't look exactly like the pictures. The exterior of the property was very unkempt (lots of overgrown foilage). Very few of the doors in the home actually close so if you are looking for privacy in a room, you will need to put an object in front of the door. Rugs and floor were very dirty. My daughter found a large roach crawling across the floor in the evening. We really do not think the home was worth the price. We came into town for a family wedding and my brother stayed at a home a few blocks away that was comparably priced and his home was much nicer and up to date. The bed in the master bedroom was comfortable so that was a plus. The trundle beds are really only good for kids as adults would not comfortably fit on them unless the adult is a "small" adult. We showed up and the washing machine had all of the towels sitting in it "wet". No one had put them in the dryer so they were all "stale". I would not stay in this property again.

Great updated home!

House is precious and so close to everything you need. We stayed for a baseball tournament and had a great stay. Beds are clean and comfortable, kitchen has everything you need and home lives very large.

Quick and sweet!

We needed a place where all 2 generations of women, living in 4 different states, could conveniently and comfortably meet up for 48 hrs. Many drove, 3 flew in, and the house, location and weather was excellent! Close to everything! Will definitely want to return!

A Decent Experience with Room for Improvement

A nice, reasonably renovated house with plenty of room, perfect for a group of women celebrating a milestone birthday. However, upon arrival, it was clear that some finishing touches and a deep cleaning were needed. Grease splatters behind the stove on the wall, rings in the toilet, and dishes still in the dishwasher were missed opportunities for a warm welcome. While the location was conveniently close to downtown and other destination spots, the outside noise made for some sleepless nights. Despite being a dog lover, the constant barking at night in the neighborhood kept those staying in the front of the house with some restless and sleepless nights. Additionally, large diesel trucks from neighboring houses running late into the night also created some exhaustion. We didn't contact the owners during our stay regarding these details because we were already there so a deep cleaning couldn't be done and not sure what they would have done about the middle of the night noise.

Wedding weekend

Great older home in downtown McKinney that has been redone in a beautiful rustic style with all the modern amenities. Kitchen is amazing-I would love to have it in my own home! Wedding weekend with friends and family and the venues close by. Great downtown area close to everything you could need and then some.

Perfect home base

Perfect home base for Thanksgiving spent with family living in McKinney. Great to be able to escape back to our own spot for some alone time. Plenty of room for everyone, including the dogs. Great location and beautiful home. Highly recommend!
