A quiet downtown Whitehorse retreat. Two Bedrooms-Dedicated office-Free Parking
Work comfortably, explore easily, and come home to a peaceful space in the heart of Whitehorse.
Located at Hanson Street, this bright, thoughtfully appointed condo offers the convenience of downtown living on a quiet residential street. Whether you are visiting for work, enjoying a northern getaway, or settling in for a longer stay, you will have room to relax, a separate space to work, and an excellent starting point for exploring.
Leave your vehicle parked while you discover downtown, then return to your own comfortable retreat when the day is done.
Comfortable Space for Up to Three Guests
The condo has two separate bedrooms: a primary bedroom with a queen bed and a second bedroom with a Twin XL bed. The layout works well for couples who appreciate extra space, colleagues travelling together, or a small family.
The fully equipped kitchen makes it easy to enjoy breakfast at your own pace, pack lunch for a hike, or prepare a relaxed dinner at home. A comfortable living room and modern bathroom round out the space, giving you the everyday comforts that make a stay feel less like travelling and more like being at home.
A Real Office—Not Just a Desk in the Bedroom
Travelling with work? The separate den is designed exclusively as a workspace, with a desk, ergonomic office chair, printer, office supplies, and fast Wi-Fi.
Away from both the bedrooms and living area, the office lets you keep work separate from the rest of your stay. Settle in for a productive morning, step out for lunch, and return to finish your day without taking over the kitchen table.
A practical choice for business travellers, government employees, visiting professionals, and remote workers.
Free Parking, with Two Convenient Options
Enjoy a designated complimentary parking space at the rear of the building, plus additional free street parking in the nearby cul-de-sac, subject to availability and posted restrictions.
Keep your vehicle handy for outings beyond downtown without needing to drive every time you head out for coffee, dinner, or a walk.
Discover Downtown on Foot
Main Street is a short walk away, with independent shops, cafés, restaurants, galleries, and public art to discover. Browse for locally made gifts, find a new book, stop for a leisurely coffee, or enjoy dinner out before walking home. Downtown’s murals and sculptures make even a simple stroll part of the experience.
The location is also convenient for federal and Yukon Government offices and the Yukon Court House. Whitehorse General Hospital is across the river on Hospital Road, making it a short-drive destination or a longer walk.
Erik Nielsen Whitehorse International Airport is approximately a 10-minute drive from downtown, depending on traffic, route, and road conditions.
Riverside Walks and Nearby Trails
Yukon River Waterfront and Riverfront Trail Make the river part of your daily routine. Walk down to the waterfront for fresh air, open views, and a change of pace from downtown. Follow the riverside paths past cultural attractions and viewpoints, take a camera, or simply enjoy watching the Yukon River flow by. It is an inviting option for a morning stroll or an evening walk after dinner.
Millennium Trail For a longer outing, the paved Millennium Trail offers an approximately 5-kilometre loop along both sides of the Yukon River, crossing the Robert Campbell Bridge and Rotary Centennial Bridge. Suitable for walking, jogging, and cycling, it combines riverside scenery with the convenience of an urban trail. Allow roughly an hour to an hour and a half for a relaxed walk around the loop, plus your walk to and from the trail.
Black Street Stairs and Escarpment Views For guests who enjoy a climb, the Black Street Stairs offer access from downtown to the escarpment above the city. Open viewpoints in this area offer a different perspective on Whitehorse and the surrounding landscape. Check current access notices before setting out, as some airport-area and escarpment trails are subject to closures.
A Little Farther Afield: Hiking and Lakes
Miles Canyon Make time for a visit to Miles Canyon, where the Yukon River passes between striking rock walls beneath a suspension bridge. Explore the surrounding forest trails, enjoy the viewpoints, or plan a longer walk toward historic Canyon City. A drive to the canyon makes this an easy outing to add to your stay; experienced walkers can also plan a longer route from Whitehorse. Road access varies seasonally, so check conditions before heading out.
Chadburn Lake Park and Hidden Lakes Pack a picnic and explore the lakes and forest trails across the river from downtown. Chadburn Lake Park has an extensive trail network for hiking and biking, along with lakeside places to pause and take in the scenery. Chadburn Lake is also a destination for canoeing, kayaking, and paddleboarding, while the Hidden Lakes area offers more opportunities to explore on foot. These outings are best planned with a vehicle or arranged transportation to your chosen trailhead.
Whether you prefer a gentle riverside stroll or a longer forest hike, choose a route suited to your experience, check current conditions, and respect posted closures.
Local History, Culture, and Attractions
MacBride Museum Discover the people, wildlife, and events that have shaped the Yukon. With exhibits exploring Indigenous history, the gold rush, and northern life, this downtown museum is a rewarding addition to a day spent wandering the city—and a good option when the weather encourages an indoor adventure.
Kwanlin Dün Cultural Centre Located on the Yukon River waterfront, the centre welcomes visitors to learn about the heritage and contemporary life of the Kwanlin Dün First Nation. Check its current schedule for exhibits, interpretive tours, and cultural programming during your stay.
S.S. Klondike National Historic Site Visit the riverside grounds of one of Whitehorse’s best-known landmarks and learn about the sternwheelers that once travelled the Yukon’s waterways. The vessel is undergoing restoration and is currently closed to onboard visits, but the grounds and outdoor interpretation remain available. Combine a stop here with a waterfront walk.
Shipyards Park and the Fireweed Community Market During the summer market season, head to Shipyards Park to browse local crafts, pick up fresh food, and discover Yukon-made goods at the Fireweed Community Market. It is a lovely way to meet local makers and turn a riverside outing into a relaxed afternoon. Check the market schedule for your travel dates.
Yukon Beringia Interpretive Centre and Yukon Transportation Museum A short drive opens up two more fascinating stops: explore the Yukon’s Ice Age past at the Beringia Centre, then discover the ingenuity behind northern travel at the Transportation Museum. From ancient animals to aircraft and historic vehicles, these attractions offer a different side of the Yukon story.
Memorable Outings Beyond Downtown
Yukon Wildlife Preserve Approximately 30 minutes from Whitehorse, the preserve offers the chance to see northern wildlife in large natural habitats. Explore its 5-kilometre walking loop or book a guided bus tour—a memorable outing for wildlife lovers and photographers.
Eclipse Nordic Hot Springs For a slower-paced outing, visit Eclipse for a soak in naturally heated mineral pools. This adults-only facility welcomes guests aged 19 and older, making it an option for a quiet afternoon of relaxation. Check availability and reserve ahead.
Carcross, Emerald Lake, and the Southern Lakes Make a day of the scenic drive toward Carcross, approximately an hour from Whitehorse. Stop at Emerald Lake, explore the Carcross dunes, browse the Carcross Commons, and take a walk beside Bennett Lake. Allow extra time for the viewpoints and stops along the way.
Enjoy Whitehorse in Every Season
Summer’s long daylight hours leave plenty of time for exploring after work, lingering over dinner, and taking an evening waterfront walk.
Autumn brings colourful landscapes and the return of darker nights. In winter, consider snowshoeing, cross-country skiing, or a guided northern-lights outing. Aurora-viewing season generally runs from mid-August to mid-April; sightings depend on conditions and cannot be guaranteed.
Attractions, tours, and trail access vary by season, so check opening hours and conditions when planning your stay.
