Family Vacation - Excellent Location

Beautiful property with everything you need to have an amazing vacation. So comfortable for our entire group of eight. Excellent location close to restaurants & shopping. Thank you for supplying towels for the hot springs.

Our 1st time visiting the Azores. The weather wasn't the best and prevented several things we wanted to do. We did as much sightseeing as possible and were glad to come back daily to Casa Saudade which we found to be comfortable and clean. Had the weather been better we would have been able to make use of the facilities available at the house. Far too wet to sit on terrace and too damp. We did find the house to be convenient to walking to marina and local eateries. We loved the Vapour at the Grand Atlantic Hotel for drinks and apps. If we were to return it would be in August when the weather is much drier and warmer and the hydrangeas are in full bloom, it would be gorgeous!

Sweet place to stay

Layout and comfort of the property was great. Good amenities and comfort and style were top notch. Location was what we expected, close walking distance to a lot of places to visit and eat.

A gem of a home

Our stay was perfect in Casa Saudade! Great location, responsive and friendly host, comfortable spacious home for all of us to spread out. The backyard and terrace probably got the most use. Truly a wonderful stay

Beautiful Saudade

Perfectly located, beautifully decorated; very comfortable bedrooms and updated bathrooms; fully equipped kitchen and lovely patio and backyard; laundry an extra. Joana was helpful and always available le. Would definitely stay here again.

Lovely vacation spot

The house is roomy and the garden provided play area for the children. It’s in a great location for walking everywhere. The hosts were very responsive.

Ponta Delgada oasis

The 6 of us had a great time island hopping from this beautiful house! Plenty of space for all of and a spacious back patio and yard which was such a nice place to unwind. This was a great spot to stay while exploring the island. Nothing seems to be more than an hour away so easy to explore the island from here. And we enjoyed the cute neighborhood cats that kept us company in the backyard!

Absolutely Perfect!

The Casa Da Saudade was the perfect place for our family to stay for our visit to Sao Miguel. Very clean and plenty of room for everyone. You can't ask for a better location within Ponta Delgada. Thank you, Joana, for promptly answering any questions we had. We will definitely be back!

Great Home -excellent location

We were a family of six people and this home was perfect. Plenty of room both inside and out. The hosts were very quick to answer and questions we had. If I do travel with this large of a group on future trips, I would definitely consider this home again. Everything is with a few blocks including the waterfront

Absolutely beautiful home!!!

This was the perfect location for our family of 6. The house is walking distance to everything in downtown Ponta Delgada but so quiet and relaxing. The house was spotless, the beds were comfortable, the views were amazing and there was nothing the hosts overlooked! Towels, starter groceries, washer and dryer, beach towels--everything was provided for us! Beautifully decorated and very welcoming. The yard was a delight and we spent every evening sitting under the patio lights. Joanna, Grace and Victor were very communicative and made sure our stay was pleasant. We cannot say enough about how much we all enjoyed staying at Casa de Saudide. If we return to Sao Miguel, we would not hesitate to stay there again!

Best stay in Ponta Delgada

We had a great stay at Casa da Saudade. The hosts were great with communication. The house itself was better than pictures and the yard was amazing for our group of friends! It was clean. AC worked great. Kitchen and outdoor space with tables. We felt like this was a good location to stay on the island and central for the activities that we did. It was also next door to the best restaurant, Michel. Highly recommend!

Ponta Delgada house

The property was large. We liked the back yard space. The owner was attentive and provided information on parking, restaurants, etc. well in advance of our stay which we very much appreciated. It was easy to communicate with her. It was a bit unfortunate that one full bath was downstairs and all the bedrooms are upstairs. The biggest complaint is that the house had a musty smell that we could not get rid of even with windows open.

Our dream vacation

Our family vacation in São Miguel was a dream come true and this home played a great role in making it so. The location is perfect, within walking distance of all major attractions in Ponta Delgada, yet it is a fairly quiete street. It is spacious and very clean offering all the comfort one seeks when on vacation. In addition, the host was extremely pleasant to work with. As previously planned, the host had a delicious gluten free birthday cake delivered to the house on the day of our grandson’s birthday. We will most certainly return to this home on our next visit to São Miguel.

Wonderful stay with family group

We had a comfortable stay in this lovely house in a great central location in Ponta Delgada. Communication with the property managers was excellent and the photos well-represented the property. We were six people but up to 8 adults would be very comfortable in this roomy house. The backyard outdoor space was an oasis. Parking on the street and the suggested lot 5 minutes away was always available. One tip, ALWAYS close your auto's side mirrors if parking along the street, it is extremely narrow. Highly recommend this property.

Incredible!

This house was so spacious for a family of 5. It was incredibly clean. The hosts were so attentive, informative and helped us so much. The major grocery store is very close and multiple small markets within walking distance. The home is located very close to the main town square and we walked there often. It’s steps away from restaurant Michel which is a must. We felt so safe in the city and home day and night! With o Rei Dos Quiejos with the best cheeses in the world nearby and incredible coffee every where you turn, we were very happy. The yard is so relaxing and beautiful with hydrangea everywhere and the sound of rooster and beautiful chirping birds all day. All you need to cook a great dinner or breakfast is there. The host even gave us a starter kit with fresh Portuguese rolls, drinks, eggs, cookies, chips, etc! The beds were very comfortable and linens fresh and cozy. The dining room was beautiful and a great place for us to eat as a family and play board games at night. I can’t imagine staying anywhere else. It was the perfect home.
