Rogue River Frontage

Wonderful brick ranch style house located in Rockford, Michigan directly on the Rogue River. There are 2.8 acres of land, giving you plenty of room to play.
Nature lovers will enjoy bird watching, deer, and other wildlife. The Rogue River is perfect for kayaking and tubing, along with great fly fishing. There is a kayak rental business (AAA Canoe Rental, in season) available within 3 minutes of the house. The White Pine Trail, with 92 miles for hiking, biking, cross country skiing, and snowmobiling (Grand Rapids to Cadillac) is also within a block of the property.
The house has an updated, beautiful kitchen with quartz countertops. There are ample utensils, dishes, pots and pans for all of your cooking needs. Or you can dine out, as there are several nearby restaurants.
The 3 bedrooms are ALL equipped with king sized beds. There is also a pull out sofa bed located in the living room. We provide all of your linens, including towels.
The downstairs game area is perfect for a rainy afternoon, or evening fun. There is table tennis, Foose ball, and a magnetic dart board. The game table upstairs is great for cards, checkers, and other games (we have several). We have updated for 2023 a downstairs additional shower.
There is both an upstairs, very realistic, gas fireplace and a downstairs electric fireplace. Both of which blow heat. If you want a real fire, there is a firepit in the back yard for relaxing at night.
We have recently added a dock down by the river with a bench to enjoy the beauty of the river. Note that you can't see the dock in the overview pictures, as it was added in 2023.
The Winter brings a lot of fun to this area, including snow. A lot of it. Cannonsburg Ski lodge is close by with both tubing and skiing. We hire a great company that plows and shovels the sidewalk at the house, so don't worry about that.
Our door lock will be programmed with your own personal code during your stay. We change the code with each guest and you can pick the code you want to use. Other safety measures in the house are, smoke detectors, carbon monoxide detectors, fire extinguishers and outside lighting.
Additional things to do within a 20 minute drive include Downtown Rockford, Cannonsburg Ski Area, Rockford Sportman's Club, Golf (several courses), Deer Tracks Junction, Robinette's Apple Haus & Winery, Versluis Park, Frederik Meijer Gardens and Sculpture Park, Van Andel Arena, John Ball Zoo, Grand Rapids Children's museum, Grand Rapids Art Museum, Grand Rapids Public Museum, LMCU ballpark (formerly Fifth 3rd Ballpark), and a host of restaurants. Downtown Grand Rapids is only 20 minutes away, making the property the best of both worlds with big city amenities and small town charm.
