Beautiful property

Rented this property for bridesmaids to stay for daughter’s wedding. Super hosts and an awesome house on a gorgeous property. Would definitely stay here again!

True Tranquility

This was a great stay for 4 nights. The place was so spacious and wonderfully decorated it had room for everyone to have their own space and then some. This is a true gem with a great host and hostess. They were so very responsive and polite and accommodating. I will definitely look to book again when in the area . The views are breathtaking in the am while drinking your cup of coffee on one of the several patios

The property was perfectly located for our trip. Karl was a wonderful and welcoming host. The house was gorgeous and spacious. The property was gorgeous with great ambiance and even a river running along the back. My kids enjoyed walking and exploring.

This was a charming older home, but the layout was unusual and lacked privacy—especially in the main bedroom, which only had curtains instead of doors. Unfortunately, the exterior of the property was not well-maintained. There was nowhere clean to sit or relax outside, which was disappointing since we had planned to enjoy the outdoor space.Inside, we found the utensil drawers were not clean, so we decided to eat out instead of cooking as we had originally planned. Additionally, we felt uncomfortable during our stay due to a nearby trailer very close to the house. We often heard voices and a dog barking, which made us feel like we were being watched. Overall, the experience was not what we expected, but the inside was clean.

The Best of Both Worlds

This was our 4th year at River Twist & it was just as amazing as the last 3 visits. It’s a hidden gem a stone’s throw away from bustling Greensboro or quaint Jamestown. Whatever you’re in the mood for, you will find it here! Jan & Carl are great hosts! They’re very flexible & easily accommodate any special requests.

Homestead has 3 homes

Since the homestead has 3 homes on the property, the house we were to stay in is not the house shown in the first photo. It would help if the buildings were numbered to avoid any confusion. The property is gorgeous and convenient to downtown High Point.

Amazing property just outside of quaint beautiful town

This property is very beautiful. The nearby town Jamestown, just a few minutes away is charming with fantastic restaurants and shopping. The online listing and photos are accurate. The house is supplied with everything you would ever need.

Great stay for the family

This house was perfect for our family Thanksgiving. There was plenty of space inside and out for us spend time together. Carl met us when we arrived and made sure to show us around.

Good Times down on the Farm

What a wonderful place enjoyed by everyone from Alaska, Calgary, Canada, South Carolina and Kentucky for our son's wedding in Winston-Salem. Lots of wonderful memories made. Carl, Thank you for your wonderful hospitality and flexibility.

Elegant Setting!

Beautiful setting used for various wedding events. There is a surprise around every corner with the decor. We had 7 in our party. It is close to the Coliseum where we had events to attend. The owners live next to the house and are available for questions and concerns. It is a peaceful country on 10 acres. Plenty of bathroom space. The beds were comfortable. I am not sure where people slept if there were more then 8 people but there was 2 blow up mattresses in a closet. Loved loved this place!

Perfect place,

We traveled from California to host our daughter and new son in laws wedding reception at the river twist . The river twist exceeded all of our expectations and was perfect for us. 7 of us stayed on the property for 5 days making decorations, food , picking flowers etc ... We had 68 guests for the big day. It was truly a magical day , we will all remember and cherish forever. We would love to return again. The house was clean , comfortable and plenty of room. The property is absolutely gorgeous and very private. Carl was a very helpful and attentive host always available to us . Thank you so very much Carl and Jan for sharing your home , barn , RV, art studio , flower house and amazing property with us!

We were in town for High Point graduation. My whole family stayed at the house. It was nice nice to be together, hang out on the deck and just enjoy the place. The location was close to the school and other activities. The owners were super nice and very accommodating. Highly recommend the house.

The property was just beautiful, the home was roomy, full of amenities and just a perfect spot for our family to meet for Thanksgiving. We were even able to make it work for my daughter who is wheelchair bound, with just a little extra effort. The owner was very friendly and responsive to any needs we had. We would definitely return to this property for a family get together in the future:)

Beautiful piece of property, and the house worked perfectly for our visit!

We were in town for a college graduation, and had two families sharing the house. The owner was super welcoming when we arrived, and we could tell he's very proud of this property. Everything was in bloom, and the grounds are absolutely gorgeous! The house suited our needs perfectly, with plenty of bedrooms and bathrooms for all guests. The kitchen is well-appointed and had everything we needed to host a barbecue. The hosts also had charcoal waiting by the grill, and plenty of staples in the pantry that we were invited to use. The ONLY thing I would suggest is that you bring chairs for the deck if you plan to have a group of people visit as we did. We were able to round up just about enough by moving some from other porches, but it would have been a bit easier if we'd just brought some foldable chairs with us. This is a minor detail, as our visit was GREAT in every other way!
