The house was nice. Tom, property care taker was great. Easy to reach if needed anything. The build up of seaweed and the smell from decay made the beach unusable. Suggest getting an updated beach report before booking.

We had the best time! Kayaking, paddle boarding. Enjoying time on the beach. We loved every minute of our stay!

Quiet stay in the Keys

This property was a beautiful location and great proximity to plenty of good fishing, quick trips to Key West or other keys, and a nice place to just relax.

The property is stunning, and the surrounding area is absolutely beautiful. The house is fully equipped with everything you could possibly need, and Tom, the manager, was incredibly kind and helpful throughout our stay.

Great stay at Sugarloaf Key

Beautify house on great secluded beach. If you are looking for a nice place for a low key stay, this is the place. Had a great few days with the family literally on the beach. House was clean and ready for us, and Tom (property Manager) was super helpful with suggestions and answering all the questions we had.

We had a great trip! Family trip with a total of 7 (16 years and older). House was clean and a great lay out for us. It was very bright in the morning but other than that the views from the bedrooms was impressive. Beautiful spot!

Relaxing Visit to Key West

This was a wonderful setting for us. We had dinners and a couple of outings in Key West, but then had a great time just sitting and walking on a quiet beach the rest of the time and enjoying life at our own pace.Cadmier was very helpful before our trip and Tom was a great source of info once we arrived. Thanks.

Great property

This is a great house for a big group or big family! It’s quite a drive down and you will get lost if you use Apple Maps but as long you use Waze or Google maps you’ll be good. If you’re looking for a place outside of the hustle of key west but still close enough to drive in, this is a great place! Lots of space which my group loved.

Excellent stay

Everything was as expected. Property was beautful. The views out the large windows to the water was breathtaking. Also, love how the property thought of everything. Enough towels, paper products, kitchen supplies to cook a few meals. Also, property manager was great and helpful! The bedroom through a bedroom was better than expected because both rooms had access to the bathroom. Highly recommend to stay at the property!

Paradise!

Everything about this location and stay was excellent. House was clean, well stocked with towels, paper products, and soap and shower items. The views were the reason we booked and the reason we will return. Secluded beach, lots of privacy, long dock great for fishing, patio gas fireplace, plenty of lounge chairs and Adirondack chairs on patio and on the beach. Great communication with host. We took full advantage of the kayaks and paddle boards available, and saw a manatee, barracudas, sea turtles. Easy drive to Key West for activities but truthfully there’s no reason to leave the property. It was breathtaking.

Amazing family vacation

Our family of 11 ( me, my husband, our daughters, their husbands and children ages 10 mos to 4 years old) stayed for a week at the end of Feb. The house was immaculate, views were breathtaking, amenities perfect. The beach/ocean was perfect for the kids, sand play, shell searches, and shallow water! We saw dolphins not far from the dock! Tom was fantastic and helped in every way possible from tips of where to eat, things to do, even supplied a baby gate to keep our lil ones safe! We all were sad to leave but took with us the greatest memories to cherish!

Paradise weekend

Everything about this property is nothing shy of perfection! From the moment we arrived, we were greeted by Tom, the property manager, who was the most accommodating for all that one might need during your stay. From ice to directions on and off the water, and advice on navigating the Keys, he was the greatest host anyone could ask for. The house is laid out so comfortably and was perfect for our large group. I would recommend this property and location to anyone looking for a paradise to wake up to every morning!! We can’t wait to come back and never want to leave. Thank you again Palms Resort

The Online Property Manager almost pushed us to ask for a refund by telling us about loud dock construction between the hours of 10am -2pm every day immediately after he secured our final payment for the trip. Thankfully Tom who is the onsite manager was amazing and had the construction stopped for the duration of our stay. He gave us endless local knowledge, help, and let us borrow a cooler and some of his personal equipment. Everything was clean and wonderful on the property and it was stocked with fun amenities.The trip would be perfect if not for the sargassum which made the first 4-5 feet of the water rather foul but after that it was amazing to kayak or paddleboard on. If we revisit we will definitely go earlier when there is less of the sargassum, as well as hopefully a completed new dock that should be great for swimming and avoiding the sargassum altogether. Overral the food in the keys, the house, the views, and the wonderful host Tom made this trip a wonderful get away.

Beautiful tropical oasis

Our family of seven adults and two babies had a wonderful stay! The house was clean and comfortable with plenty of room for everyone. It was very kid friendly, with portable cribs and baby gates provided. The beach is right off the porch with plenty of places to lounge and enjoy the beautiful, crystal-clear water. Others mentioned seaweed, but we didn’t have any during our stay. Nobody was staying in the house next door while we were there, so we had the whole beach and dock to ourselves and never saw another person, except Tom, the caretaker, who helped us with whatever we needed. He was wonderful. The biting insects were bad when the wind died down, but bug spray was provided, as was sunscreen. We really enjoyed the kayaks, paddle boards, fire pit on the beach, and gas fire on the porch. Everything was lovely. Thank you for the amazing week!

Great house with beachfront!

We live in West Palm Beach and wanted to get out of town to the keys for a relaxing weekend. We found this great house with a beautiful beach and (shared) dock. The house is perfect (can sleep 12) and has a great downstairs deck with lots of seating, which we utilized a lot, and upper deck with a balcony and it's very own sunset/sunrise viewing rooftop. It feels very private as you're out from the mainland quite a way. Communication with the property manager and caretaker were great and we loved our stay here. We went out to eat most nights, but the kitchen was fully stocked should we have decided to cook. There is also a grill which we utilized one night. There are lots of kayaks/paddle boards available. We went in the middle of summer and if you're planning on going then, be aware of high seaweed and very warm waters (typical of the keys). We highly recommend and would definitely go back!

Beautiful views ...but overpriced

Check in to the property was quick and Tom the maintenance man was responsive. The switch was turned off on the hot water heater and had to contact Tom at check in. Kitchen, dining room, and living room had small bugs all over. The bugs covered the counters, sink, dining room table, and coffee table. We were told this was due to the tropical storm. We could not keep any food that was opened on the counter, such as chips and cereal boxes. The shore line at check in was full of the normal seaweed but also oil containers, oil filter, washed up shoes, empty water bottles, broken bottles, and random trash. Some of the washed up trash was cleaned the last day we stayed. This was an issue as my son got engaged and we could take no beach pictures. The air conditioner quit working on the 2nd floor on the last part of our trip. Tom was responsive and brought in additional fans. Overall the property has a beautiful view, but it is overpriced. The house is dated on both the inside and outside. The beach should have been cleaned prior to check in and cleaned daily for the cost of our stay. We stayed 5 nights. Although the sand fleas made walking along the beach miserable. All the outside lights were taken off the outside of the house with wires exposed. The dock is the focal piece of this property and made for some beautiful pictures. The only problem is the mass amount of bird poop at the end of the dock. It covered the dock and we were unable to sit on it.

Man, this place was awesome. If it wasnt for the sea weed, we would never want or have a need to leave. Seaweed was thinning out towards the end of our trip, but man, this place was worth it. Tom, your a gem bud.
