We actually could not stay here due to we all got a horrible case of the flu. The owner was so accommodating and helpful. Superb experience. We will stay here soon as we do travel to JAX often. Thank you so very very much.

Property looks exactly like the pictures. Very clean, warm & cozy property with all essential items provided in all rooms. Such a great apartment for 1 or 2 people; great location! The blinds in the bedroom were a little tricky to operate, but that was our only issue. Thanks for a great place to stay in Avondale!

Handsome apartment in Avondale

The apartment was perfect. It was a nice size for 2 people. It was stylishly decorated—just right, not overdone. The furniture and bed were comfortable. The kitchen had everything we needed. My normal morning routine includes making a latte. Voila—there was a great Keurig that had a latte setting and could whip milk. We highly recommend this place of Donny’s. I left a jacket in the closet and had enough time to retrieve it with Donny’s permission. Donny was an excellent host. We appreciated the bottle of wine and snacks that were there when we arrived. As you can tell I can go on and on about the apartment and host. Both were excellent

Excellent Stay

I stayed here two nights for business in Jacksonville. Property was beautifully decorated, bed comfortable, clean, in good condition and located within walking distance of Avondale restaurants. Would stay here again.

Carriage House Retreat

This place was really well done and made us feel right at home. Bedding was super soft and the shower was invigorating. Perfect for a short stay for one or two people.

It was like staying in an HGTV property!

Beautifully appointed, very "of the moment" design wise, really lovely carriage home. It's small, but expertly designed. Donny was responsive and helpful when needed. Great neighborhood within walking distance of shops in a beautiful part of Jax. The only issue (and it's a tough one to get right because it's such a personal preference) is that the pillows were not firm and a bit lumpy - for my taste. But everything else about the stay made up for it. We would definitely stay here again.

My husband and I stayed at the property for 3 nights in January. The apartment was even better than the photos and details described! The location was superb, the unit was very clean and had all amenities that we could ask for. The Shoppes of Avondale is a 5 minute walk and has many excellent options. Really, it was a perfect stay and we wouldn't hesitate to stay there again.

10 Stars out of 5!

This is hands-down one of the best VRBO rentals ever! The apartment looks like it should be in a magazine and lived comfortably for two adults. Our host had every convenience possible, while the location was stellar. We parked once and walked to shops and restaurants in Avondale. Honestly, we didn’t want to leave and we’re sad to end our busy. Outstanding!

A smartly decorated lovely place in a great location.

The carriage house was decorated like an upscale home, with a tasteful, modern motif. Super clean and had every thoughtful convenience. Walking distance to Avondale shops and restaurants. One of the best VRBOs we have stayed in.

Better than the Ritz

As soon as we opened the door we knew we were on vacation ! The apartment is so beautiful and Donny has everything you could possibly want in a vacation home . The neighborhood was charming and walkable . I didn’t want to leave !

Beautiful decor and perfect location. Only complaint is the thermostat was at a fixed temp. The owner may have adjusted had we asked but it wasn’t that big a deal so we let it go. TV was difficult to figure out but we got a bit of assistance on that and did eventually.

Fabulous as always!

This was our second year staying in this gorgeous place. It has everything you need, very clean place, quiet neighborhood, and comfortable space. It is not handicap accessible just a heads up for those who might need that, there is a flight of stairs at the interior entrance to get up to the living space. The bathroom is small for two, and needs more hooks to hang towels, more shelving, but that’s minor, I still give it 5 stars and would stay there every time!

Lovely!

My husband and I lived in the Riverside area 30 years ago. We have wanted to visit the area again and our winter weather in Colorado gave us the reason to go. This lovely apartment was part of my search as we wanted to stay in the area. It was just lovely! The pictures of the apartment are pretty good but I feel the apartment is even nicer than the pictures convey. It is a garage apartment on a quiet side street with its own designated parking space. It is a short walk to the Shops of Avondale. We were so pleased with our stay and we will definitely be back.
