It was a nice location. A quiet neighborhood and pretty location. We had nice weather which made it perfect for us to sit on the deck and enjoy a nice glass of wine and a good read. The overall location made it nice to also do some day trips.

Perfect for a quick mid week getaway. House was clean, awesome river views, and comfy beds. The home was filled with great art and an awesome library with lots of photography books, plus a bonus bocce court and lots of outdoor spaces for river/eagle watching relaxation. Our stay was just what we needed.

A relaxing week on the river
The property was beautiful and as advertised. Check in was smooth, and Danny was very prompt with answers to the two questions we had, and helpful in recommending some restaurants in the area. The kitchen had everything we needed to make great dinners and enjoy them inside or outside. We enjoyed staying there with our dog and hiking nearby, as well as hanging out on the deck reading and watching the bald eagles near the river.

Great House
The home is situated on a dead end on the river about a ten minute walk from the restaurants and shops on main street, the house is clean and well appointed. The front garden is beautiful and the back yard gently slopes down to the river. It is a great house, the host is not overbearing in any way. We had a great long weekend.

Little slice of heaven
So happy we stayed at this beautiful home on the Delaware River. The house is lovely and clean with everything you need for a lovely break. The property is beautiful as well as the back lawn slopes to the river which was cold and refreshing. We tubed and canoed and saw bald eagles every day. The nearby town is darling - could have stayed forever.

2nd time here. Weather not great but no matter. Still got some bocce in. Walked the river with dog and had fire each night. Amenities all there. Location is amazing. Extended back deck and added stairs since our last visit - a plus for watching nature and getting down the hill. We’ll be back.

Perfect spot for actual quality family vaca
We were looking for a place to really get away with our kids- 15 & 17. (The Orlando vacations were always fun but we would come back more frazzled and fatigued than before.)
This house along the river, with the hammock, bocci court, wildlife everywhere— had just the right amount of everything. We had busy days rafting and fishing; more quiet days walking into town or simply enjoying the property. Our teenage kids told us it was one of their favorite places to go. We forgot how to relax but this place helps you figure it out again. Thanks for letting us stay.

Great place to stay on the river and our dog loved it too!
My wife, our bassett hound, and I stayed in the cabin with our sister and her partner and we all thoroughly enjoyed our visit! We were visiting Bethel woods and wanted a relaxing place to stay by the river with our dog, and this was perfect. Danny was great and helpful with our travel plans (thank you Danny!) We originally planned on spending time in/on the river during the day but arrived just after a tropical storm and the river was not cooperating. Even so we had an excellent time just sitting in the back yard and watching the river and playing some guitar. We plan on returning next time we are in bethel area.

Perfect
What a great place for us to spend two solid summer weeks. The house itself was ideal, well-appointed, spacious, clean, comfy. And blazing wifi! The kitchen was stocked with all the necessary tools and accoutrements. At one point the dishwasher died, but it was replaced in a couple days. What service!! The environment is 'cue the deer' idyllic, all the way down to the bald eagles and their fledglings soaring and hunting along the river. Highly recommended for floating on the river, basking amidst the towering pines, and nightly cicada serenades.

Catskills v. Adirondacks
This is what I would want to know when making my decision of where to stay. It is a beautiful home and location. The water was wonderful - shallow so you can walk right in from the backyard or kayak. Problem with the river - fast current, so be ready to paddle. Eagles are in your backyard together with foxes and deer. Neighbors are the downside if you want solitude (like me - prefer no neighbors or at least not right next door). Bocce ball court is awesome. The grill needs to be replaced and there is no microwave for quick warmups. The town is adorable, but closed the majority of the time. The pizza place does not permit ordering out during the summer. Make reservations ASAP or you are likely not going to get a table. Oh, try the brisket from Big Eddy's Brewing. There is antiquing in Hawley - 30 minutes away. But again, a lot of the stores are closed except Friday-Sunday. The Tusten trail for hiking is definitely moderate and an all around good hike. We decided that overall, we prefer the environment of the Adirondacks - more privacy, hiking, etc. to do. The location - only neighbors on one side which is nice. For the majority of folks, this is an outstanding place, it just isn't secluded enough for us and enough activity.

5 days
We enjoyed our recent visit to this log home on the Delaware river. The grounds are beautiful and it is a peaceful, quiet spot. We observed much wildlife (bald eagles, deer, ducks, geese), all without mosquitoes or gnats!
Various outside activities are available, as described on the website. The home is also fully equipped, especially the kitchen with a fantastic ice-maker!
On arrival be sure to read the host’s binder notebook, since you are instructed to turn on the hot water heater on arrival (and off when leaving).
The upstairs loft bedroom has a bathroom, but guests in the two basement bedrooms need to use the main floor bathroom. The claw-foot tub upstairs and the Jacuzzi in the main bathroom can be difficult to get in and out of. Sheets and towels are provided, but you are requested to wash the towels before leaving.
Lighting in this home creates a cozy ambiance like candlelight, and the brightly-lit website photos are not representative. To play board games at the kitchen table we needed to move lamps. The kitchen and TV extension cords/plugs were temperamental.
Some notes: This home is not handicapped-accessible, as mentioned on the website. The cumbersome front entry gates need repair, and garbage cans do not fit into the shed where they were to be stored. On only 3 of our 5 day visit did a train run through, about 10:30pm. Narrowsburg restaurants are open on Thursday though Sunday.
While we did enjoy this pleasant retreat from a noisy world, we believe that the rental fee for midweek was overpriced.

My family uses this house as well as renting it and we take great pride in the appointing and maintenance.
Just to address a few points:
- Since this is a rental house and not occupied 100% of the time we try to lower the house's carbon foot print by lowering the thermostat and turning off the water heater when not occupied. The on/off switch for the water heater is clearly marked in the hallway and it is also mentioned with pictures in the visitor's guide, which we send out as a pdf before arrival and there is also a printed version displayed on the kitchen table when you arrive.
- Lighting is very important to me and there are many light fixtures creating a beautiful ambience. The house was built with many dimmers and I think some renters might not have noticed, as they are not the dial kind. I will add an image to the renters guide to make people aware.
- There is a large gate to the front as we have a deer fence all around the front garden (the deer are plentiful and voracious out in the country). It has wheels to open but might be cumbersome to some.
- There is no step in shower. The house came with an amazing Restoration Hardware clawfoot tub with shower fixtures in one bathroom and a huge tub to relax in with a picture window overlooking the river in the other. We love both of these. These would not be considered handicapped accessible. If that is needed, it should be one of your first criteria for choosing a rental.
- We had switched over to a new garbage/recycle service and the cans they issued were bigger than my existing cans. Unfortunately, one of the two did not fit in the enclosure. The enclosure has since been enlarged to accommodate it.
- There is a washer and dryer on site, which some visitor's like to use. During the summer months we are fully booked and we just suggest that you throw a load of towels in before you leave as they take the longest and it really helps the cleaning crew turn the property over in the time they have. It's greatly appreciated if you do, but it is not a requirement, just a suggestion.

Lovely river getaway
The grounds on this property are so beautiful - the front yard has a pretty garden and the back yard is huge - lots of space to play and then the spot down by the river - we enjoyed the hammock right at the water's edge! And it's super quiet and peaceful outside. There are neighbors but you don't really hear or see them.
The kitchen is probably the best equipped rental kitchen we've ever had - it was great.
The main floor has a huge living room/den, kitchen and bathroom with the jacuzzi tub. Upstairs there's a bedroom, open to the main floor sound wise, with its own bathroom. In the basement are the other two bathrooms as well as laundry.
The house is very cozy and warm feeling - no overhead lighting, all soft warm bulbs from lamps and pendants which looks pretty.
We did need some help with the hot water (user error - it was clearly noted in the binder at the house) and Daniel helped speedily.
If someone has mobility issues I don't think this is the best house for them due to bathroom and bedroom locations and low lighting but otherwise it's really lovely and beautiful and I'm so glad we got to stay.

Nature, art and relaxation in Narrowsburg, NY
Danny’s home in Narrowsburg was the perfect vacation destination for our family. The home itself is exquisitely curated and we enjoyed admiring his collection of art, photography and sculpture throughout the home. The space was also cozy and livable with comfortable beds and furniture throughout, as well as a well functioning kitchen and washer and dryer. We also particularly enjoyed the built in surround sound speaker system inside and outside the home. The outdoor space is equally well designed, with a beautiful, fenced front garden (good for dogs) and a huge backyard featuring a large patio, a BBQ, two hammocks, a bocce ball court, a large picnic table and beach access to the Delaware River. The weather was beautiful when we visited and we spent multiple happy afternoons lounging outside, wading in the river, watching birds, canoeing, and tubing. If you’re looking to get out, the house is about a 15 min walk from Main Street in Narrowsburg - a very cute little town with a great coffee shop (Tusten Cup) and a number of home goods and antique shops. Most are only opened Thursday through Sunday so plan your trip dates accordingly. Overall, Danny’s trip was a perfect destination for our family vacation and we hope we’ll get a chance to return!

Wonderful unique vacation rental
What a beautiful cabin and property! We rented for a week in July ‘22 and thoroughly enjoyed ourselves, relaxing by the river and enjoying the many amenities. The artwork and literature in the cabin was truly special, and not something I’ve experienced in a rental previously. The beach area by the river is wonderful for relaxing and we enjoyed lots of outdoor time. The kitchen is also very well equipped and we made many good meals there. Narrowsburg, while small, is a very nice little town and we enjoyed the Riverfest while we were there. We also really like the Tusten cup coffee shop. Truly a relaxing vacation. My only complaints are about the noisy window air conditioner upstairs that needs to be replaced, and the lack of a second shower. The clawfoot tub shower, while special, is tricky for older folks. We are looking forward to our next trip to Narrowsburg and staying here again!

Just a magical place on the river in the Catskills. The area is beautiful and this property takes advantage of the natural beauty. You can sit on the deck and take in the river or go right down to the river and float. The house itself fits right in to its surroundings and has some amazing plantings. A really peaceful place.

Amazing Stay - Very Serene, Lots to do at the property
Host was responsive and helpful. The property was absolutely gorgeous. It's worth mentioning that the river in the backyard was like nothing I've ever experienced. The entire strip from shore to shore was waist high - you can literally walk to the other side (PA). I can only imagine how fun this would be in the summer time, and look forward to coming back.

Voici pourquoi l’hôte a choisi cet hébergement
Having lived in the city for 20 years, we had always wanted to have a country house and the Hamptons were not our style. About five years ago we were introduced to this area by a friend who has the brick farm house down the road. When this house went on the market we knew we wanted something on the water and road up and down the river to see if there was another property we liked better than this. We closed a month later.
