Excellent Location
The apartment is a good size. 2 couples would be comfortable. So much is walkable. Archil, the property manager, was very easy to contact by VRBO message or email and he responded to every request quickly. He is very polite and easy to deal with. The apartment had a few deficiencies which he responded to quickly. The beds are comfortable and clean. The apartment was generally clean; the bathrooms, the floors, the counters, the dishes. The cleaners skipped over the details which they probably are not asked to clean. The coffeemaker was unusable because it was so caked with old coffee. The plastic tablecloth had never been lifted off the lovely glass table underneath and it was stuck by mold. A lot of the details in the apartment have been done by an amateur. It is a lovely apartment and could use a good once over by professionals. Decorating could use a boost. Pillows of a London theme & a âpaintingâ of a big city. A nice touch would be to add a bit of a latvian theme with a couple of pillows and a painting.
It is a good basic place to stay: coffee right across the street; Dzirnavu street, the next one over, is filled with bars and restaurants: Rimi, the big grocery store is across the street and down a big block.
Loved our visit to Riga! The entrance into the building is easy. Steps are easy to climb because they were made the perfect height for climbing.
I hope that Archil continues to improve the apartment. It really could be a gem!
