Awesome trip!

We loved staying here! The kitchen is well stocked. Lots of over the door hangers for towels and suits. Super short walk to the beach!

Great beach house for family memories!!

This was our first stay at this wonderful beach house and we created forever memories with our kids and grandkids. The house was just the perfect size, very comfortable, clean and beautifully decorated! Situated right on the beach, we were able to come and go very easily from the house to the beach. The beach was so clean too! We will definitely book again next summer for a longer stay for our second annual family beach vacation!!

Family vacation

The property was everything it was advertised as. Location was perfect. Easy access to the beach. Bedrooms were a bit small but we were only in those to sleep in. Otherwise plenty of room. Recommended!

Excellent Location

Perfect location with the beach steps from the door. Beach location was much prettier than and less busy than Galveston area. Loved being able to travel into Galveston during the day and relax at night on Surfside Beach. Great home for a large family. Host was very accommodating to rescheduling our family when my husband was hospitalized the day of our original date.

Great weekend at the beach

We really enjoyed our stay here. The house had a great view of the beach and we enjoyed sitting on the deck in the evenings. The beach is walking distance and the water was perfect. We did go on Memorial Day weekend and that day was super crowded but it was great that we could walk to the house when we needed. Terri was very responsive on anything we needed. We would definitely recommend.

Short getaway

Property was very clean and spacious. We loved the outdoor shower and abundance of beach toys. Plenty of movies and books to choose from for those rainy days and or late nights. We stayed during the week and the town is relatively quiet which was exactly what we needed. The house is footsteps away from the beach and we would definitely stay here again. Perfect for what we wanted!

Terri is great to work with; very responsive and accommodating! The house was perfect for what we wanted. Layout was nice because you couldn't hear anything if you wanted to sleep early and others stayed up. Neighbors were super friendly as well. Loved that there was parking under the house-made coming and going easy. Overall this was exactly what we wanted and will definitely book here again!

Clean home

This house is cozy, clean, and kid friendly. One nice feature is the outdoor shower has hot water. We enjoyed the short walk to the beach. The beach is a drive-on beach so we had to watch out for cars since we have small kids. We had a great time. The management team is helpful and responsive. Thank you for a great vacation.

Location to beach is awesome!

Came here for a quick getaway with a couple of families before school starts. Loved how close we were to the beach. Waves were awesome for body surfing. House was clean. We cooked a lot at the house and we had everything we needed to do that. Terri provides you with lots of info on the area which came in useful. Only negative was the mosquitos were awful so make sure you pack bug spray. We had a great time!

Wonder Home and Owners

Second Wind is an awesome home and so close to the beach we could walk back and forth, which was great for bathroom breaks and meals, without having to pack everything up! It is very well provisioned with anything you could possibly need. There were 6 adults, 5 little ones (ages 4-9) in our group and there was plenty room for us. We would love to stay there again some day. Ashley and Eric are awesome to work with and quickly responded to all questions and concerns before and during our stay.

Great location, view of the ocean and steps from the beach

First time to stay in Surfside and this property did not disappoint. Two families with children under 5. View of the ocean and steps from a path to the beach. Lots of beach toys to use and having 4 bedrooms was a plus. The beach in front of the house is permit only, so plan to purchase a $12 permit if you want to drive your car on the beach. Also, plan to bring your own drinking water. Great hostess & location and very clean.

Great place to go with kids!

The outdoor shower and picnic table in the shade under the house, as well as the huge bin of sand toys and fast, easy access to the wide, flat, un-crowded beach, made it a perfect place to take our young kids. When we went in May, the ocean was warm and shallow, only coming up to our knees for several yards out from the water’s edge, and the waves were gentle, which was perfect for our young non-swimmers. The house is not super-new or high-end, but was clean and comfortable and has plenty of space. The owner was flexible and very responsive to questions. I highly recommend this place to anyone taking a vacation with kids!

Beach get away

We enjoyed our stay. The house was clean and had everything we needed. Very nice ocean views. Short walk to the beach, which was convenient. Only draw back was the bed in the last bedroom. The queen size bed was broken down in the middle. When my husband got in we both rolled to the center of the bed. That bed needs to be replaced, very uncomfortable. Everyone else slept well on the other beds.
