After a day of adventure, you can sink into the plush throw blankets and gather around the cozy wood burning fireplace, playing one of the board games provided or watching your favorite show or movie on the new 55-inch Smart tv ( Smart TVs in all bedrooms and game room) Or perhaps retreat to the game room with its rustic wood-beam ceilings and a dry bar. Challenge your companions to a friendly game on the high-end pool table or electronic dartboard, all while enveloped in the warmth and charm of this mountain sanctuary.
While air conditioning is absent, nature compensates with its own cooling system - the fresh mountain air.
Step outside onto the expansive 2,000 square foot deck, complete with a hot tub, 2 fire pits , and comfy chairs where you can immerse yourself in the mesmerizing sunset over the lake and mountains. The deck is the perfect spot for unwinding, sipping your morning coffee, or just watching the world transform as the sun dips below the horizon.
Whistling Woods is perfectly located just a 5-minute drive from Bear Mountain, with a back route to avoid the long lines of people waiting to enter the parking lot. Additionally, you'll find a charming family-owned coffee shop only 5 minutes away, and the new wildlife animal center nearby for added exploration.
For your convenience, there's a spacious garage that can accommodate two cars and is stocked with a pack n play, changing table, and high chair, making it an ideal choice for families. There is also a Tesla charger - making your stay even more convenient.

Guests' Rules
Welcome to the rules for Whistling Woods Our aim is to maintain a harmonious environment that aligns with local Code Compliance and respects the comfort of all guests. As part of this effort, we've established some friendly but firm and inflexible house guidelines.
Maximum Occupancy: 13 guests (10 adults max).
Parking: Space for 4 vehicles, including garage access. Exceeding the limit may result in fines of up to $1,000.
Pets: No pets allowed. If this rule is violated, you will receive a minimum of a $1,000 fine and eviction.
Coyote Warning: Coyotes are extremely prevalent in Big Bear, even in the most densely populated areas. If you see one, you can bet they re part of an unseen pack. These animals are bold and territorial.
Please respect the home and follow the rules, just as you expect timely assistance from us. Many of these rules are city regulations, while others help us maintain the homes in top condition. Our goal is to ensure a great experience for our guests and property owners.
* Check-In: Remote check in after identity verification.
* Parking: Follow city-enforced parking limits. If you need more space, let us know.
* Occupancy: Adhere to the maximum occupancy limits enforced by us and the city. No exceptions.
* Noise: Be respectful to neighbors. Keep music inside and at a low volume. Quiet hours are from 9 PM to 8 AM. We have monitoring system in place that reads decibels of noise and notifies you directly and us of loud noises.
* A/C: Most homes do not have air conditioning. Nights are cooler with open windows.
* Ants: Clean up after meals to avoid attracting ants. We use traps and sprays, but cleanliness is key.
* Trash: Dispose of trash at the designated clean site as required by city regulation.
* Age Requirement: You must be at least 24 years old to book. We do not allow parties. This rule is strictly enforced.
*All cooking has to be done with what the house provides and the BBQ on site. It is not allowed to bring anything with charcoal, gas, propane or anything of the sort. Just what the home already has. Thank you!

* You'll need to sign a Rental Agreement with the Big Bear Good Neighbor Policy (5 minutes). The link with the rental agreement will be sent once the booking is confirmed. It needs to be completed and signed before checking-in. To confirm and maintain your reservation, our Rental Agreement must be completed within 24 hours of booking. Failure to complete the agreement within this timeframe may result in cancellation without refund if the cancellation window has passed.
Please note:
Our standard cancellation policy applies from the moment the reservation is confirmed, not from when the rental agreement is completed. By booking, you agree to complete all required documentation within the given timeframe and to be bound by the cancellation terms.
