This cozy vacation cottage is located close to Pismo Beach, Arroyo Grande, and Central Coast Wineries. It features a private porch area.. Our vacation cottage is fully equipped and located within Pismo Sands RV Resort; a private, gated park with facilities available to our cottage guests such as pool, spa, rental bikes, playground, laundromat, and convenience store. Our cottage is suitable for couples, solo adventurers, and families (with kids).

Great but with limitations

My wife and I stayed for a few days to celebrate an anniversary. The cottage was clean, check in was easy and communication was great both before and during our stay. We did not use the stove, BBQ, Porch, hot tub or pool so cannot comment on those. The two main issues with this unit are 1. the water heater is an RV style water heater and runs out of hot water after a 6 minute shower and 2. there is not a bathtub so may not be a good fit for little kids after the beach. This was not mentioned in the listing and there were only three reviews and none mentioned these issues. I contacted the host who told me that it was indeed an RV heater and that they would mention that in future listings of the property. I tested the shower twice and found that both times the hot water ran out at 6 minutes but the issue is that it took 37 minutes for the heater to recover for another 6 minute shower. If you had four people who needed showers before say dinner, it would take 2 hours and 15 minutes for everyone to have a hot shower. Some minor issues, the key used to access the unit is a standard house key and could easily be duplicated by a former guest and used later, there is not any AC but it's a beach town, maybe not needed but it was a little stuffy so we turned on the ceiling fan which was quite noisy compared to all the others I have ever used, staying in an RV park is a different experience if you have never been to one. People alwasy outside (because they are there RVing). The unit was quiet and comfortable and the price was fair for the area but not sure I would stay again.

Great Central Coast Getaway

This property was a nice getaway for families (Family of 4 max). A nice location to give you access to Pismo activities but be in reach of SLO activities and ease to as far as Solvang. The property was great with nice amenities for the pre-teens and teens.

Overall pleasant

Upon check-in, we found no key to the property inside so we had to use the lock box key which was inconvenient. It was a little nerve wracking thinking that someone else who’d stayed previously had a key and could come in at any moment. There were a few things that could’ve been cleaner in the restroom and bedroom. Also, as we were cleaning up to leave, we discovered someone else’s bottles and cans in the kitchen and living area and a bag of ice in the freezer. It just didn’t feel like the place had a thorough cleaning before we checked in. We did enjoy the pool though the information flyer said they opened at 9am, we were down at the pool only to discover it actually didn’t open til 10am. It was nice that it was heated but disappointing to the kids to have to wait the extra hour. Location was good for us and we found some great restaurants close by. We’d consider staying again to give it another chance. I am hopeful that we were just unlucky this time around.

The cottage was very clean and it had everything you need. We’ll come back again.

Renting the property on line was very easy.from reserving the property to getting access to the cottage. Very easy directions I loved it.
