We are located at tree lined midtown - the center of Sacramento city! next to everything, restaurants , groceries, art galleries, live entertainment, bars, Yoga studios, the Capitol building, golden 1 arena and Oh, so much more. You only need to walk or rent city bicycle and enjoy your vacation in second to none weather.
Super convenient for attending a conference at the SAFE Convention Center. Parking was a puzzle (you have to ask for a parking permit, and you have to find a way to print it to leave it in your car, as it's an E permit parking only), but there was a UPS store a few blocks away so I used their computer to print it after it was emailed to me. Quiet neighborhood with a nice little convenience store across the street.
A cool way place to enjoy an extended stay. Me and my son stayed awhile shooting video during the night hours in downtown. Most of all midtown is a more safer neighborhood. Thanks guys
Upon arriving at the property, it was evident that it had not been cleaned. Upon contacting the owner, he was very responsive and immediately made it right.
Here are the pros & cons so that you can make an informed decision:
Pros: 1)Safe & quiet neighborhood that is walkable to basically everywhere especially to the wonderful restaurants in mid-town. 2)Baseboard heating was really good considering it was cold & damp out. 3)Water was hot. 4)Full-size fridge. 5)Totally usable kitchen. 6)The house was very clean. 7)Decent bed.
Cons: 1)This is strictly street parking. That's why you need the permit Monday thru Friday. I came on a Friday night. But when street parking is almost non-existent on the same block as the apartment house, what are you supposed to do? I mistakenly parked in a poorly marked motorcycle parking area right in front of the apartment house. I got a $50 parking ticket that I'm contesting. It really is poorly marked & there was a car parked to the right of me as well. 2)There were no instructions as to where to access the heater. It is the baseboard heater underneath the AC window unit. We figured it out after 20 minutes of looking around & messaging the host. 3)Communication was lacking after arrival. I asked about the location of the permit-I didn't realize we didn't need it on the weekends & the location of the heat source. I didn't get an answer until the day I was leaving. 4)There is a resident that lives right upstairs, making any bit of noise, like squeaky screendoors, uncomfortable for guests & why there is a 10pm quiet time. They were also up early so no sleeping in. 5)No extra towels, pillows, or blanket.
Everything was as described in the listing, I found the place clean and comfortable. Having a kitchen was great as I didnât have to eat out as much. The landlord was very gracious, helpful, and easy to contact. The place was close to eating, shopping, and night life. I enjoyed the Train Museum, and the Sutter Fort Museum. I learned a lot about Californiaâs early history. The State Capital building was beautiful with a very nice park for eating lunch. And discovered a large variety of restaurants, Greek, Italian, Asian, American, British; with great food. Nothing was too far away or too hard to find.I highly recommend this Gem.Lee TâŠ
Served my purpose of fair daily rate and good location. âŠ.my first time staying at a bnb property
Replacement bath towels not readily accessibleâŠ
but overall and older but decent property
The property is quaint and comfy and suitable for the basic of living needs. The bed was comfy and the sheets were soft. Beautiful old school aesthetics like a claw tub, but the shower curtains really love to grope (lol). There is one AC unit that, Iâll be honest, does cool the entirety of the dwelling. Case in point, if you stay at this place on a day where the temp reaches triple digits (I was unlucky enough to experience 117), then the AC will only cool the sleeping area. The TV room, the kitchen, the bathroom, and the fridge area receive NO cool air. I almost sprung and bought fans myself on account of the heat. Nevertheless, I made sure to stay out of the residence until after nightfall and even then, it was uncomfortable, except for in the bedroom area. The fan above the bed helps a bit too. Couldnât use the TV as it was stuck on the previous tenantâs Xfinity login. Iâm lucky my iPhone has all the entertainment I needed with my connection to my big Jambox.
