Liesel’s Landing is a great example of the latest in the trend of Rustic Mountain Contemporary Design, creating an experiential space, blending the outside world and the inside world into one cohesive living environment.

Nestled on a corner lot in secluded Wildwood Forest, Liesel’s Landing features two King bed master suites, one conveniently situated on the lower level and the second master suite more privately placed on the loft level, both with walk-in showers. A third bedroom features a Queen bed and bath just across the hall - with a bathtub for the little ones.
This incredible property is just 4 miles from downtown Highlands, but worlds away in terms of setting.
The barriers between indoor and outdoor living blurs at Liesel’s Landing as you move effortlessly between the two spaces. The high vaulted ceilings, both inside and out, contribute to the feeling of openness.
An outcropping of natural granite is now harmoniously part of the living space and features a four-person spa with LED lighting. Generous seating allows guests to enjoy both the indoor and the outdoor world as they gather.
Floor to ceiling sliding glass doors seamlessly connect the inside to the expansive outside living areas. The outdoor greatroom features infra-red ceiling heaters to create a four-season environment for comfortable viewing of the giant flat screen TV mounted above the fireplace, or for enjoying your favorite beverage or dining experience. Choose to enjoy the gas logs in either the inside or outside spaces, or venture down the short path to the brand-new flagstone patio that sits below the home with a built-in woodburning firepit.
For dining inside – there is a custom table with leather seating.
Both inside and outside choices seat 8 comfortably.
Oversized professionally designed custom furniture is featured throughout the indoor and outdoor living spaces. The furniture design features natural finishes, leather, live edge tables and beautiful but durable Sunbrella fabrics both inside and out.
The front door is an example of custom crafted timeless piece.
Beautiful custom rugs are featured throughout, including hand knotted Tibetan and hand tufted and woven rugs in other spaces.
If a combination of work is part of your mountain escape, you’ll love the loft workspace, set up with two desks. The hi-speed Wi-Fi keeps you connected.
Dogs are welcome at Liesel’s Landing, with a required pet fee.

**Please note this home does have exterior surveillance cameras for security purposes. They face outwards from each of the two driveways and towards the exterior stairs to the firepit.**

[All of the homes managed by Highlands Vacation Rentals have wifi internet access(speeds may vary based on different providers), basic kitchenware & dishes, linens provided, and a starter set of amenities including: 2 toilet paper rolls per bathroom + A set of personal shampoo, conditioner, hand & body soap (also per bathroom), 2 paper towel rolls, a few kitchen trash bags, a kitchen sponge, some dish soap and a couple of dishwasher and laundry detergent pods. ]

CANCELLATION POLICY: Our cancellation policy (effective for bookings confirmed after April 1, 2024) is outlined below:
For reservations that are 21 days or less, A reservation cancelled ( by email receipt ) between 0 - 45 days prior to arrival is not eligible for a refund. If reservation is cancelled more than 45 days prior to arrival, guest shall receive a refund of all payments made* less a cancellation fee of 10% of the total cost of the reservation AND the cost of any trip insurance if purchased.
*Refunds do not include third-party service fees as those are determined by the booking site and we do not control how those funds are processed.
For any reservations that are more than 21 days, No refund will be given unless the property is re-rented over the previously booked dates.

Wonderful Retreat

We had the most wonderful time at this awesome house. The location could not be better and the house was very well - equipped. Cozy and well decorated, we had a fabulous time and would definitely stay there again!

Perfect Location

This house is really amazing. It is centrally located between The Highland, and Cashiers. The owners have done a great job with the design and decor of the home. Very peaceful neighborhood. The rental company was great to work with. The house was exceptionally clean and had everything you would need. We will be back.

Lovely, spacious, well equipped home.

House was beautiful, clean and beds were comfortable and lots of space. Plenty of bathrooms area. We ate in a lot and the house was well equipped with everything to make meals. Location was great. There isn’t a bed in the loft and we just didn’t pay attention that it only slept 6. So pics are a little misleading. We were only 6 but had two grown boys that didn’t want to sleep in same bed and we thought there was bed in loft. We had to go purchase air mattress. Other then that we enjoyed this house and would definitely stay in it again.

Updates needed

The house is a bit worn with pretty gross old pots and pans. The refrigerator whines intermittently, the dishwasher leaked, had to get repairman and had mold on the door, the fireplace was great but it wouldn’t turn off. Major complaint is that the owners have a cat and there’s no way to get cat dander out once a cat has been there. This should have been disclosed in the house information due to many people being allergic to cats, including me. When I read no pets, I assume none have been there. Please make this clear. We still enjoyed our stay because the weather was beautiful and I spent a great deal of time on the porch.

Delightful Stay

The house was just as advertised. It's a nice mountain house in a convenient location. The property is well maintained, and the management was very professional. We enjoyed the long weekend and would not hesitate to stay here again.

Awesome way to start the new year!

Cute cabin, very spacious and well decorated. Close to town and all the activities. Our group enjoyed hiking and “towning around” but also couldn’t wait to get back and watch football, play cards, lounge around and just enjoy each others company. Perfect floor plan to gather in the open kitchen-living room or hide away in a bedroom for a nap or sit on one of the decks and read a good book/reflect on the past/set new goals....perfect way to start this new year off! Might be our new year tradition now.
