The Lewis House-Garden Level Getaway Spot!

Welcome to Lewis House! This is a newly remodeled daylight basement apartment. It is fully independent and sparkling clean. It features a private entrance, a family room with a Smart TV and a completely equipped modern kitchen. One bedroom features a queen bed, the other a full sized bed. Free Wifi. It is located one block from the University of Wyoming. There is available off street parking. It is walking distance to a wonderful local coffee shop. Dogs welcome, $10/day fee for a dog.

This apartment has been entirely remodeled and the outside landscaping has been completely redone! It is updated and modern! Access to the entire apartment! The larger bedroom has a queen sized bed, spacious room and plenty of closet space. The smaller bedroom has a double bed with a memory foam cover and plenty of closet space. The kitchen is fully equipped for a night stay or an entire month with everything you need to cook and bake.

During your stay you will have access to the entire apartment. You can also access the gated backyard if you would like.

As hosts we live locally in Laramie. We are readily available throughout the day to answer questions and concerns. We want to be available so your stay is enjoyable. The check-in process is independent. An access code to the door locks will be provided when the place is booked.

The house is in a quaint neighborhood one block from the northwest corner of the University of Wyoming. It is an easy walk to the university classroom building, arts and science auditorium and Prexy`s Pasture. Turtle Rock Cafe is one block away. It is a local coffee shop and cafe with great food and a relaxed vibe. It is a short drive to Laramie`s historic downtown featuring lovely local shops and restaurants.

If you are planning to visit the University of Wyoming you can easily walk to campus from the apartment. Laramie is small so the historic downtown is close and quick drive away. It is also a bike friendly town with bike lanes on busy streets and lots of quiet streets to cruise around on.

Dog Rules: $15/day additional fee for dogs. Included before arrival. Clean up all waste before check out & no pets on beds and furniture.

The stairs down to the apartment could be tricky for some people. Only a handrail on one side and completely open on the other.The people who live upstairs are pretty heavy footed. We woke up a few times to their infant crying - but maybe that’s why there are ear plugs supplied on all the night stands.The fenced in yard is nice and secure for the dogs.

Extremely disappointing and unsafe experience. This is a basement unit with no access to control the heat. It was cold and rainy, and the furnace wasn’t working. After contacting the owner, he had me troubleshoot the furnace myself. When that failed, he came onsite—disrupting our stay with my wife and two kids present. He spent about 30 minutes inside, even rummaging through kitchen drawers looking for a lighter. He said he’d try to get a furnace tech out “over the weekend,” meaning we’d be without heat that night.At my request, he brought two very old space heaters that tripped a circuit when used. He later returned, showed me the breaker panel, and suggested I figure out which outlets to use and reset the breakers myself if needed. We ended up with four space heaters and decided to leave due to the risk of fire and continued electrical issues.We were there less than three hours and requested a full refund, which was denied. We were told only a partial refund would be issued, minus VRBO fees. I asked for those fees to be refunded too—no response since.Also, earplugs were provided in each bedroom, likely because the upstairs is rented out separately. This wasn’t clearly disclosed. Overall, poor communication, unsafe conditions, and no accountability. Rent at your own risk.

Quaint Basement Stay

We enjoyed our stay! It was exactly as advertised, easy to get to and right by the college. I enjoyed the fact it had a Kurig and coffee for us. We brought our two golden pups and there was even a little yard for them to play in. Andrew was a great host and communicated all the property details well! Would highly recommend and stay again. Loved the side wall shaving mirror in the bathroom...and vintage Wyoming posters! Cool touches. Thanks Andrew! We are hopefully closing a deal for an apartment for our daughter to go college! It was perfect.

Perfect rental in Laramie

This is a lovely rental. The location is so convenient to downtown and the university. The rental was fantastic. The kitchen is stocked with everything we needed to cook meals. Everything is super clean. We would absolutely stay here again and highly recommend the rental to any university parents!

Plenty of space for us. Great location. Bed was comfortable. All the amenities needed. I did alert the property owner about some housekeeping needs. They were going to check into this.

Great location!

We stayed the night to move our daughter into UW. It was perfect for the 4 of us! We could easily walk to campus and fun restaurants downtown. We would definitely stay again!

I was looking for handicap accessible properties, this one came up bet i dont consider 8 steep steps very accessible. It said garden level basement but that can mean access at the ground level, this one is not. Once it it was a nice place to spend the night, but in and out were not what i wanted

Solid apartment option

This is a nice basement unit located near downtown and the University. It was exactly as pictured, well stocked with paper products, towels, and soaps. Having a driveway to use for my 10 nights was an added bonus. Communication with Andrew was very good. I had one issue arise during my stay, and he responded and addressed it promptly. I agree with previous reviews regarding noise from the upstairs unit. Earplugs are provided to help with the sound. Overall this is a spacious, good choice Vrbo in Laramie
