GEM - 2 - Island Ct.

This upper unit in our two story condo is a sea shell throw away from the quiet waters of Mission Beach Bay with available kayaking, boat rentals, relaxation with mountain views and wide variety of short walks in every direction to parks and beach's with choices of the bay side or the Pacific side. Walk 1/2 block and you will be at a the main street with all the coffee shops bars and restaurants and shopping.

Mission Point Park beach-adjacent waterfront park with lifeguard supervised swimming offering lots of lawn space for a picnic and a brand new playground called Maruta Gardner, opened November 9th, 2020 on the Bonita Cove side.

Belmont Park - San Diego's Premier Beachfront Amusement Park, features the historic Giant Dipper roller coaster. The swimming pool is now renovated and open with lifeguards on duty. This pool is located with Belmont Part at Fit Athletic Club, in the heart of Mission Beach next to amusement park on the Pacific Ocean. Its designed with a new contemporary design featuring floor-to-ceiling glass walls for ocean views and a retractable roof. The pool includes historical features from original structure in 1925. Swim passes available, just ask my manager for more information. Also attached to the Plunge is a Tiki Bar and restaurant with lounge chairs to relax and watch the big blue Pacific waves roll in..........

Per City of San Diego codes we are only allowed MAX of 4 guests in this unit. Specific head counts of all people including children staying on properties must be approved by management upon time of booking for insurance purposes. Those traveling with children under age of 3 will not be counted as a guest but again need to be aware of head count pre City of San Diego codes.

**Please note: We are a vacation rental and supply a starter kit: 1 paper towel, 2 roll of toilet paper, box of Kleenex, soap supply for kitchen and bathroom. Shampoo, Conditioner and body wash. A sampler of coffee and teas with powdered cream. Napkins and salt and pepper in packets. Thank you**

Great Weekend Stay

GEM 2 was the perfect spot to take in a long weekend at the beach. Clean, tidy and comfortable with all the amenities. Close to everything! Highly recommended.

Clean place close to a lot of activities

Parking was tough .We had off street parking but space was very tight for any size vehicle . Great place and weekend otherwise

Solution for everything:)

We just spent two lovely weeks at this location. The owner and property manager were extraordinary!!! Even if we had trouble with the locks or the washer they were fast at answering and fast at solving any problems that came up! The location was perfect, beds were comfortable! Really an awesome place that I strongly recommend!!

A perfect spot to enjoy all that Mission Beach has to offer

What a gem ! While the 2 teens were still sleeping in the morning, I walked all along the bay and back on the boardwalk, both less than 2 mins away. While the garage space was tight, it was perfect to park and leave, as we really did not need a car during our stay. I would definitely stay here again.

The perfect place!

This property was exactly what I hoped for! Quick access to the beach, bay and other nearby attractions. It is located on a quiet street, but safe to walk at night. The bedrooms had blackout curtains which was really nice since it gets a fair amount of sunlight. Everything was updated and clean. Fully stocked kitchen and items for the beach. I would definitely recommend and stay again!

Great spot

Good location and nice property. Like many of the reviews indicated, the parking spot is small (get a compact car/cross-over). Also need to use fan to help circulate AC to bedrooms in August. But overall, a great spot- access to bay, beach, Belmont park, etc. Nice clean place and we enjoyed our stay. 6 year old daughter also loved sitting on the steps at 9pm each evening to take in the Sea World fireworks.

Girls Weekend

This house was perfect. Close to all the fun, food and water. You are minutes away from Mission Beach on one side and the bayside on the other. Nice and clean, beach supplies were perfect. The outdoor area is perfect for sitting around at the end of the day or to have a cup of coffee In the morning. The description does not do it justice. You will not be disappointed. Will definitely be renting this house again.

Great place to stay, great location, excellent host!

Unit was as advertised. The property host was super communicative and on top of things. She answered every question I had and was very prompt. The unit is in an excellent location! Only a couple blocks to the beach one direction and one block or so from the marina side on the other. One small draw back was that the unit's walls were pretty thin, so you could hear a fair amount outside. But, everyone was quiet during the evenging, so it was no issue. I would stay in this unit again!

Great Location

This was a great location within walking distance to many hot spots. The beach is only two blocks away, Starbucks and Belmont Park were right around the corner. And there were many restaurants and attractions within a short drive. This was the perfect home base for our trip.

Great location! Easy access to the beach and harbor, rooms were clean and comfortable. Garage parking is tight so I’m glad we had a smaller vehicle. But otherwise, no complaints. Would love to stay here again.

Access to Beach and Bay

This unit is an older property that has been nicely remodeled. It is a clean unit that is kept up. The parking is incredibly tight except for very small cars. Thankfully the people across the way weren’t there so we had more space to ease into the garage. This unit does not have laundry facilities in it. It states it does but after booking I was told that was only for stays greater than 7 days. Even at that it would t be in your unit. The air conditioning is in the living room so kept the living room and kitchen fairly cool but not the bedrooms or bathroom. We got a fan to mo e the air through and that was a help. We left it for future travelers and then found someone else must have had the same issue as there is a small one in the closet as well. Wonderful access to the bay literally steps away. Access to the beach is just across the street. A little noisier due to Belmont being so close. Also more foot traffic with the homeless due to Belmont within this area. Easy to prep meals. Wish there would have been ice or trays to make ice. Also access to sand toys, chairs, and boards. Nice seating area outside. For our needs we would select a different unit next time due to heat sensitivity, laundry, and parking. I would still recommend overall as those are some unique preferences.

Awesome little place for a beach getaway!!

We live in North County of San Diego and decided to have a little staycation by the beach. Absolutely loved the location and the place. It was very clean, updated and fully equipped with anything you may need. Had the pleasure of meeting the owner and the property manager, both were very delightful to work with. Fantastic beach rental!

Great experience from the beginning! Great communication. The property is on the bay side, but very close to the ocean. Clean, well decorated, very comfortable. If you are looking for a place to stay, this is it! We will definitely be back!!❤️

Location was amazing

We stayed Saturday through Tuesday and everything was great! The only negative was that our Toyota Sienna didn't fit into the garage, but the property manager, Stacie, was really responsive and had another solution for us. We walked to the beach and the bay, we biked all over. The beach equipment was amazing for the kids. The grill and patio area was a nice place to hang for dinner. We all slept well and comfortably. Overall an awesome stay and we would go back to the property.
