3 Dog Mountain Retreat
Nestled in the Blue Ridge Mountains, this beautiful, quiet chalet is the ideal spot for a peaceful retreat. This home is the perfect balance of rustic and modern with tons of natural light. Enjoy the natural tranquility with all the creature comforts you could want. Easily accessible on paved roads, this single level two-bedroom, two-bath home is less than a 2-hour drive from Atlanta, Asheville or Chattanooga. Located in Murphy, North Carolina between the Hiawassee River and Valley River, there is plenty to do in every season or just come to relax and take in the mountain views. Unwind in front of the cozy fireplace with a book or play a game on the arcade. The kitchen is well appointed with everything a chef could ask for. The master bedroom has a king-size bed, large walk in closet and en-suite bathroom with separate vanities and a large tiled shower. The second bedroom has a queen bed and the sofa in the den is a queen pull out bed. Both bedrooms have large televisions, plenty of storage and French doors that lead out to the deck. The outdoor space includes a large dining table, gas grill and foosball table as well as an inviting sectional with lots of room to spread out and take in the clear night sky. We guarantee that your pups will love playing in the large fenced-in yard while you sit around the firepit.
The house is conveniently located 15 minutes from quaint downtown Murphy with its many shops, restaurants and movie theater. Harrah’s Cherokee casino is there as well. Other nearby attractions include John C. Campbell Folk School, Two Crows Alpaca Farm and tons of fishing and hiking options. There is a great hiking trail just steps from the house. Also nearby are miniature golf, canoeing and much more. Downtown Blue Ridge is just 25 minutes away.

We loved the view! The kitchen had everything we needed to cook, which made our stay so easy. The fenced-in yard was perfect for our pups, and we really appreciated the thoughtful touches—dog toys, waste bags, and towels to clean their paws. One of the highlights of our trip was seeing deer while we were sitting by the fire pit. That truly made our stay unforgettable.

Excellent stay! Very clean and comfortable cabin. We stayed as a family of 5 with our 2 dogs. The large fenced in yard made our trip 10x better not having to walk the dogs. The kitchen was the best part a lot of room to cook and hang out. We loved this cabin and will definitely return.

This was our 3rd stay at this cabin. We travel very frequently and this one will always be our favorite. They location is perfect, 30 min max drive in each direction to hit all the great spots. The cabin has the most amazing view out the rear patio that you can look out while eating breakfast. We have zero complaints and will continue coming back year after year as long as the cabin is available or until we purchase our own cabin. Thanks for another great stay!

The house and property were amazing! The kitchen and bathrooms were very well equipped. The deck was amazing with comfortable furniture and the view was great. Our dog Gracie loved the yard. We enjoyed wildlife and sunsets!!

We had a wonderful stay at 3 Dogs Mountain Retreat in Murphy! The cabin was perfect for our 30th anniversary! The kitchen was fully equipped; the family area was spacious and comfy with a beautiful stone fireplace. The master bedroom was lovely and the master bathroom with the large dual shower heads was amazing! The view from the deck was breathtaking! The owners also left a book for guests to peruse with local activities and restaurants in the area. 3 Dog Mountain Retreat was exactly what we were looking for to celebrate our anniversary. I highly recommend!

We were thoroughly delighted when we arrived at our cabin. The drive was a bit steep but the property was inviting and engaging. We traveled with our two pups and they thoroughly enjoyed the fenced back yard. The cabin had us paced for a perfect relaxing get away. It was peaceful and tranquil. The kitchen was well stocked with spices and dishes and kitchenware. The front deck had furniture and a grill. The pups were remembered also. There were toys and beds and everything they needed for a relaxing vacay. There was a fire pit in the yard with sitting chairs to enjoy. There was a problem with the water pump but the hosts responded quickly and the problem resolved. We would stay there again and highly recommend.

Staying in a treehouse

From the moment we dropped our bags in the entry way we were completely relaxed. The large windows the view from the back patio was like being up in a treehouse. The deck was oversized to accommodate my husband, and I and our two dogs, and with the enclosed fenced yard. We felt safe and secure to let the dogs play. Randy and Deborah really thought of everything from the amenities in the bathroom to the exceptionally soft linens in the bed and when you get to the master bathroom, the shower it’s like you stepped into a spa. Get ready to get a little exercise in if you take a walk around the neighborhood with the steep incline. We got to see deer with their fawns playing in the adjacent yard. If you’re looking to escape noise and people this is the perfect house to come to.

Everything was excellent. There is no better place to go to enjoy a vacation with your dogs. We all loved the fencced in yard and nearby private trail . The house itself was so pretty with plenty of space and storage. The beds were so comfortable. Great lighting. So well equipped. Usually , houses in mountain towns are hard to get to... steep windy, gravely roads. This house was easy to access... paved roads, not steep nor windy. Plenty of privacy. Great cabin

Really enjoyed the cabin and the location. Pups loved the fenced yard and inside toys. Kitchen well stocked and outdoor grill came in handy for steaks. Fire pit was used and really enjoyed it. Road our motorcycles all over the area and of course did the popular loops. Best part of the day was returning back to the cabin and navigating the driveway which is pretty steep and not for the faint of heart. Overall great vacation and will rent again.

The owners understand what it means to travel with our “kid.” Beautifully decorated home, and well furnished, down to the night lights scattered throughout the house. The kitchen was very organized

Outstanding

Peaceful, quiet, 10 deer visited a few times. Spent every evening on the porch watching sun go behind mountains. Our 2 dogs were able to run around in the large fenced in back yard. Interior was immaculate. Centrally locked to different towns and many hiking trails. Hosts were kind answering my many questions within a few hours. One of the best places we have ever stayed.

Us and our pup had the best stay here. It was the perfect location to get to both blue ridge and murphy and had the perfect relaxing backyard with mountain views. We will be back for sure!

The best there is!!

This was our second stay at this cabin and just like the first time it was amazing! We live in Florida and had to reschedule our trip because we are both firefighters and we’re mandated to stay at work for the hurricanes. The owners were super understanding and helped us reschedule our annual family vacation. We travel to the north Georgia area 1-2 times a year and have stayed at numerous cabins in the area and can say without a doubt this is the best one around!! We don’t have dogs I’m actually allergic to them and I can tell you there is zero smell or dog hair in the cabin. I don’t know who they use for cleaning but they do an amazing job! Our favorite part of this cabin is the back yard for our two boys ages 2 and 6 to play and run around. The location is perfect, it’s only a 15 min drive to downtown blue ridge and everything else is close. The drive up the mountain is a lot better than most cabins. Book the cabin!! I promise you will not regret it!!!

Did not disappoint

We loved everything about this house. The Randy has the house stocked with everything you could possibly need including a welcome book with food and attraction ideas, tv instructions and so much more. The yard is very large and fully fenced in with a tall fence. We will be back for sure.
