The Space:

This 2 bed 2 bath loft is hosted by The Sanctuary Co. in Johnson City is a vibrant retreat, just steps away from favorite coffee shops, restaurants, parks, and all the excitement that Downtown JC has to offer. The loft itself is a gem, featuring beautifully functional details that create a welcoming atmosphere.

Guest Access:

Getting to our place is super easy, and downtown JC offers free parking! The Downtown Square Lot next to our place is usually a safe bet from morning till late afternoon, but right across the street from that is a huge lot that has options pretty much any time of day or night. This apartment doesn't come with a designated parking spot, as all parking is first-come-first-serve, but our place is a short walk from any of the downtown lots. The keypad on our doors makes it super convenient to come and go as you please while you explore the city.



The Neighborhood:

Our place is right in the heart of Downtown JC. It's super walkable and is the perfect starting point for whatever you'd like to get into. You'll definitely feel like you're in the middle of the action, but of course, that also means you might hear some noise from trains and nightlife. We think it's just part of the vibe and embrace it!



Getting Around:

Effortlessly traverse downtown Johnson City and its surroundings by strolling through local attractions and relying on the city's pedestrian-friendly infrastructure. For longer distances, opt for the convenience and flexibility of a car, making it easy to explore the area at your own pace. Our guests can walk to some of the best restaurants in the region and Pierre's Marketplace (Local Grocery Store) is right across the street! Walk to parks, breweries, shops, restaurants, and more!

While we welcome pets in our homes, we do charge a flat fee to cover the extra cleaning costs and resources needed to ensure the removal of pet hair and dander to the best of our ability and that the space is thoroughly cleaned for future guests. We strive to offer a welcoming environment for everyone, including those with pets, and this fee helps us keep our properties in excellent condition. We kindly ask that pets be kept off of furniture, including beds. Any evidence of pets on furniture may result in additional fines.

We allow a maximum of two (2) pets/service animals, and NO cats or birds, in our homes. All pets must be crate-trained and house-broken. We pride ourselves on impeccable cleanliness and this helps us maintain our standard for future travelers.

House hunting

We enjoyed our stay immensely. We spent most of the day on the road exploring so the ability to walk to great restaurants and shops in the late afternoon/evening was wonderful. Loved the eclectic style of the loft.

We did read the reviews about the city noise. I only heard it on Saturday night. Wish we would have had more time to discover downtown. It is a great location for that. Easy check in. Clean.

Very Nice Location and Place

We enjoyed our quick stay. It was a great location in downtown and very nice spacious and clean place. We did have an issue with some towels not available but we made it work and they were very good communicating.

Great stay!! But thin walls


This listing was very clean and comfortable! We had a very nice weekend away and would stay here again. The walls are thin and you may hear your neighbors at midnight
This listing is in the heart of downtown around bars so you may her some bustle and party music. Overall, that did not dampen our stay and we enjoyed ourselves!

Enjoyable stay

We really enjoyed our stay at your place. The only things we had a problem with was; Not enough towels for 4 people, kitchen was not fully Outfitted to cook a meal. No can opener! No med. size pots, only one bowl for serving. I am a cook and found this frustrating. Other than that, we enjoyed our stay. Hope this helps for the future.

The apartment was super cute and nicely decorated, and the location can’t be beat — just steps from downtown, shops, restaurants, and the farmers market. We loved being able to walk everywhere.A couple of things to note though: it’s on the second floor with no elevator, so carrying bags up was a bit of a workout. The biggest downside for us was the noise — the unit is right over a nightclub, and it was VERY loud until after 3 a.m. each night we were there (we stayed over a weekend). They provided one set of earplugs for three of us, but honestly they didn’t help with how loud it was. Also, the laundry is shared with others on site, not in the unit, which wasn’t a big deal but good to know.The management company was responsive and good to work with.Overall, if you’re a night owl and don’t mind late-night noise, this is a great spot in a fantastic location. For the two in the front bedroom, it was sleepless nights.

Great downtown location!

For much less than you would pay for a hotel room, you can stay at this place and get a full kitchen, two bedrooms, and two bathrooms. Wonderful value! This apartment features a beautifully appointed kitchen, great furnishings, comfy mattresses, and they even include some noise machines if the.outside noises are too much for you at nighttime.

Best on week days

This place was great. Great location, lots of space. The only issue is that on Friday and Saturday night, the sidewalk was filled with dozens of partying people who lingered there for 2-3 hours (about 12am- 3am). Seems to be quite the gathering spot. Otherwise totally recommend it.

Great place!

Very clean and beautiful. Not difficult to find. Be aware that a train goes by regularly and blows its horn as it passes. It’s not too bothersome and noise from surrounding places didn’t bother us at all. The white noise machines work great and are very helpful!

Upstairs loft

Loved the apartment. Stairs weren’t steep or difficult to climb. My brother and I had to do them one at a time. We walk with canes. We had groceries deliver the first night. Kitchen was well equipped. We cooked breakfast and did sandwiches for lunch. Lots of restaurants in walking distance. Saturday night it was very loud outside party city. Sunday was very quiet.

Nice little escape

This property is very nice and well maintained. The furniture and beds were very comfortable. Owner communication is fast and responsive. Any issue (not many) that came up was addressed immediately. Parking was NEVER an issue. Plenty of places to eat within a very short walking distance. Train comes through 5 to 6 times a day, at least twice during the middle of the night and it is LOUD. Owners provide noise mitigating devices, so it could sound worse. Local bar downstairs is noisy until 3:30am, but that was not terribly noticeable with noise mitigation. Overall, it was a decent stay. Thanks again.

Clean and Comfortable - Close to Everything

This apartment was great for a weeklong stay with a friend. Be aware that there is no elevator, so you will be carrying suitcases up a flight of stairs. Access instructions were clear, and it was very clean with comfortable beds. WIFI access and Smart TVs in the living area and both bedrooms provided entertainment and news. It is in the city, blocks from I-26, and you can get anywhere you need to go very easily. There are some really good restaurants literally steps from the building, and it can get pretty lively on a weekend night. My friend used the night noise machine in her bedroom to help block out the band that had set up next door. There is no dedicated parking, but the Downtown Square public parking lot is right behind the building and we had little trouble getting a space in the evenings. If you need a place to stay in the Johnson City area, I would highly recommend units in this building.

Beautiful Property - Great Location!

This beautifully decorated apartment is perfectly located in downtown Johnson City. The first thing we noticed was how clean it was (it even smelled super clean, and not in an overpowering way). We walked two minutes to dinner at a great restaurant (Label) and also enjoyed walking our dogs around the area. The owner was extremely responsive to any questions and stocked the space with pretty much everything you might need! (Kleenex, toiletries, coffee, lotion, snacks, bottled water, etc...). We did not notice outside noise some reviewers mentioned, but we were there on a Monday plus the owner thoughtfully provides earplugs and a noise machine. There was no washer/dryer, but for a longer stay I'm certain the owner would provide helpful guidance as to where we renters could do laundry. We would definitely stay here again.

Pros/Cons to consider before booking

While our stay was short (2 nights, 4 adults), we do have some thoughtful feedback. Pros: The location is amazing, and the space is tastefully decorated. While we didn’t need assistance during our visit the owners were very communicative. The notebook with suggestions proved very helpful as did the directions on the parking situation. We only heard the train one time, not bothersome at all. Cons: The advertisement of the location is slightly misleading; the location is directly above a bar/club. “Noisier than the average suburban home” doesn’t come close to how noisy this space is. The noise from the bar/club and fellow guests in other spaces was honestly a bit extreme (both are out of the owner’s control, however something to note for future guests). Providing additional towels and washcloths would be helpful for future guests (one per person is insufficient, especially washcloths). The plumbing in the primary bathroom is reversed (you get hot water before cold when turning on the shower). Lastly, the cleanliness was lacking, the island counter and surrounding floor was visually sticky (which I had to clean myself), the windows were covered with handprints, furniture was covered in dust and the bed linens consisted of only a comforter (no top sheet) and I feel like this is unhygienic. The coffee bar was a surprise; however, the sugar container was unclean, individual packets of sugar and coffee would have been much nicer. Overall, not sure we would stay here again.
