We are renovatingin 2026, hope to be back after that! XXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXWelcome to Wolf Lake! Wolf Lake Betty is a warm, welcoming spot to enjoy your getaway.
* summer offers swimming, paddle boards, bikes and a fire pit. Visit the
Flea Roast Ox Market in June, and the Troutarama in July.
* fall offers brisk walks or biking around the lake while leaf peeping.
* winter - we're putting Wolf Lake Betty to sleep, as she suffered last winter with
frozen pipes. See you in Spring!
* spring is time to visit 45 designated trout streams in the area, and May offers the Blessing of the Bikes in Baldwin. There are also many garage sales.
The lake is near the Manistee National Forest, with great trails for ATVs or Snowmobiles. Come enjoy this sweet 60 year old lady, Wolf Lake Betty. If you treat her kindly, she'll show you a wonderful time. Wolf Lake Betty's right on the water, which provides beautiful sunsets by the fire pit.

Pretend you are visiting your elderly relative who makes cookies and tea when you arrive. Her septic system is delicate, so please be mindful of this sweet old lady who's a little creaky but friendly.

The two bedrooms have great queen beds. One bathroom serves as a powder room for the "lake room," as well as the bathroom for the primary bedroom. The second bedroom has a bathroom across the hall. There is also a full bed in the den, and there is a laundry room. There is a sleeper sofa, best for kids as adults won't find it very comfortable. There is a fully equipped kitchen for cooking and baking, including a Kitchen Aid, toaster, coffee maker, Crock Pot, cookie sheet pans, and all the cooking utensils you'll need! Nearby caretakers can provide firewood or, in summer, a boat ride around the lake for a small fee. There are games and books, a TV and DVD player, and minimal cable/internet. Internet can be sketchy in inclement weather or if many are all using at once.

Once again, Wolf Lake Betty is a delicate, elderly lady. Please come for serenity and gentle enjoyment. Her septic system is so touchy!

Relaxing and beautiful

Altho the cottage is older , she is cozy, spacious the sunset views will astound you they are so beautiful! Renae made sure we had everything we needed! The lake is AMAZING! We loved our time at Wolf Betty!

The property location is excellent, the manager and owner were great with communication, and house was very well equipped including lake “toys”. The only downside was the dampness in the house. I have mold allergies, and the dampness was a problem.

Family vacation

We stayed for the 4th of July. Brought our boat, did some tubing with the kids and some fishing. Kids loved the swimming. Neighbors were really friendly and helpful. We have friends on the lake and found that everyone on this lake is really nice and they directed us to jones’ ice cream when it rained.

Fantastic!

We loved our stay at Wolf Lake Betty. The cottage itself was spacious, clean and every detail attended too, even bubbles, sidewalk chalk and bug spray provided. Our week was relaxing, the least stressed we've been on vacation, dare I say, EVER? While the cottage is unique and well - loved, we cannot wait to visit again next year!

Comfortable and convenient

The property is convenient to the town of Baldwin, Barski restaurant and the Pere Marquette River. The house is clean and comfortable and the view of Wolf Lake is awesome! The owner and caretaker are both friendly, accommodating and kind.

Absolutely loved this home

The home was absolutely amazing. Tons of space for everyone and even on the water. They provided kayaks and paddle boards which was phenomenal. Property manager and the owner was awesome to work with and so unbelievable friendly. We will definitely be returning.

Betty hosts another peaceful lake vacation.

This was our second stay with Betty and once again she was a wonderful host. This stay featured more Kayaks on site and the new mini split HVAC was refreshing even though we only needed it on our first day. The lake was quiet and the kayaking was fun. Plenty of firewood and seating for the fire pit next to the lake. Everything in the cottage functioned well and we were relaxed and comfortable our whole stay. Thanks again for another Great Lake vacation.

Beautiful Betty

Had another great stay on Wolf Lake. There were some nice updates to Wolf Lake Betty. There was an amazing Split AC system installed, making it very comfortable on those hot days. The beds seemed more comfortable and luxurious this time. We had some problems with the fridge but the owner and caretakers were very quick to address the problem and even compensated us for the inconvenience. The overall condition and cleanliness was great and the location cannot be beat. Cannot wait for next year!!

WLB Perfect!

Wolf Lake Betty was the perfect house for our vacation. From the comfy beds to the large yard and stars at night, we couldn't have asked for more. Communication was a breeze and the house was well appointed, plenty of towels, blankets, soap, and even cold water in the fridge. The lake was beautiful, so clean and peaceful and our family enjoyed the kayaks and paddle boards in the gargage. Oh and maybe the best thing of all! 3 Eagles paid multiple visits during our stay, they hung out in the yard and tree out back and dined on the lakes finest fish . I highly, highly recommend Wolf Lake Betty and cannot wait to visit again!

A great place to stay!

The property owner and caretaker made sure all our needs were taken care of. The washer and dryer were a great bonus for us as we stayed nearly 2 weeks. We really appreciated use of the garage and the weather was nice enough that we could take advantage of the deck and pier on the lake.

Clean and comfortable

This property is very convenient for our group and all were able to be comfortable after long days of fishing. The beds and pillows were particularly comfortable and we appreciated the number of couches for lounging. When the weather is nice, the deck facing the lake is superb.

'Found this little gem while visiting nearby Wolf Lake Ranch, and have grown to love this quiet lake community. We still ride there every summer! It's just across the lake. We love to kayak and swim around the lake, too. Walking around the lake takes about 45 minutes.

We are taking a break in 2026 to spruce up old Wolf Lake Betty! Hope to return refreshed after 2026!

Voici pourquoi l’hĂŽte a choisi cet hĂ©bergement

Wolf Lake is quiet, but there are so many fun activities nearby. The Manistee National Forest offers ATV and Snowmobile trails, and the lake offers swimming, kayaking, paddleboarding, and walking and biking around the lake. It's a delightful getaway! Even working remotely would be a great use of this area. Each season is lovely.

Voici ce qui rend cet hébergement unique

Since summer reservations are beginning to come in, here are a few points about boats.

Wolf Lake is an all sports lake, without any public launches, but the caretakers can help you launch if you bring your boat. The boats must be cleaned beforehand, and ballast boats are not permitted. Wolf Lake is only 13 feet deep and ballast boats upset the silt on the bottom.

The boat will have to be moored or tied out, and not tied up to the dock at Wolf Lake Betty. The lake is too shallow there - the dock is just a swim dock. (Or paddle boards!)

Wolf Lake is one of the last lakes in the area without invasive species. The community is understandably quite concerned that any visitors wash their boat before launching.
