Never met the host, but everything was in place for us. After hours check-in was simple and easy. The cottage was just right with everything we needed. Information provided in advance set us up for success. Check-out was just as easy. We greatly enjoyed the peace and quiet. Ventured out twice, once to drive to and explore Assateague (lighthouse and beach) and dinner in town at Bill’s Prime. Regret missing the Wallop’s Island NASA Visitors Center; have to come back again!

House was very quaint and cozy. The main bedroom could be a bit larger. The wifi wouldn't connect to our laptops. It did, however, connect to our cellphones. We would come back again.

Good home base for our spring break adventures

Rating Details: The property manager was more than helpful. The vacation rental was very clean. I was more than happy with the location. I was more than satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We didn't need anything fancy. Yes it could use some updating but it was affordable, comfortable, and functional. We had no issues and really enjoyed our stay. Just a short drive to restaurants and the Nature Preserve. The neighbor we met was very friendly and he made our dog and us feel very welcome.

Points forts : Arrivée, communication et emplacement.
Not impressed by this property mainly because of the horrible bathroom, the garbage issue, and some other things. The bathroom was very small with a very small sink and the tub looked very dirty. The shower was not impressive either with old knobs. No pillows were provided and this was never mentioned on the listing. The silverware was not appealing to use so we used plastic utensils instead. Everything else looked ok. The TV was very easy to cast to using our own app. Just remember to log out of the tv app after using it. Due to it being off season, the instructions in the package said to drop off the garbage at a community center. We had to load all of the garbage and take it out ourselves. This was VERY inconvenient. The instructions also said for us to vacuum the property before we leave but the bill added in a hefty charge already for cleaning!!! The view behind the property was very peaceful. However, we will never book this property again.

Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Overall we enjoyed our stay. Another ac should be placed in the 2nd bedroom. An outside shower and walkway into the home would be helpful to not get dirt/sand in the house. Beach was beautiful. Nice restaurants.

Cosy and well located

I rented this property for my mom, and she really enjoyed it here. She had everything she needed, and said that the bed and the living room were very comfortable. For my part, finding that the owners were nearby (everyone is nearby on Chincoteague!) gave me peace of mind for her safety. We even hosted a small dinner here (5 people) and found that the kitchen worked out just fine. Overall we had a great experience with this property and would certainly rent it again should the occasion arise!

A Perfect Location

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was spotless. I was very happy with the location. I was very satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Mae's Landing was ideal for our stay. It was just the right size for us and our dog, and the location was ideal. I highly recommend it. There are good restaurants within easy reach whether driving or walking, and the location is far enough from the center of town to guarantee a quiet stay and a good night's sleep. The nature preserves are no more than 15 minutes' drive from the cottage, which is great. The property itself was spotless and well maintained. We had no complaints whatsoever, and we'd be more than happy to come back for a return visit.

September getaway

Rating Details: The property manager was more than helpful. The vacation rental was somewhat dirty. I was very happy with the location. I was somewhat dissatisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Overall a cute place. No sharp knives had to cut an Italian bread with a cheese knife. Left the place cleaner than arrival, the air conditioner cover and old heater in floor were very dirty. The floors were not clean (cleaners) and the front storm door lock mechanism was hanging loosely by one screw when we arrived. We called the office, they said someone would be out but no one was. Great location, we loved the front deck and that the water was so close!
