The home was wonderful. The greeting from Dan was excellent. He knows a lot about the island! The home has pretty much everything you could ask for. The views of the Atlantic are fabulous!One thing, you NEED a rental car here. You are 30 minutes away from Governor’s Harbor, and you can’t walk to much from the home. We rented, and had no problems.It’s a great place to stay and I would recommend this place for anyone who needs 2 bedrooms.

Absolutely wonderful stay at this home!!! The view is spectacular and the hosts are very helpful and responsive! They will provide you with a ton of info about the area and recommendations. Also they had beach chairs and snorkel gear which was great to utilize on our days out to the beach. Additionally the kitchen is well stocked with just about every possible kitchen tool and appliance which is a nice feature for eating in. Strongly recommend staying here!

Loved staying in Casa Libra!

Very comfortable stay w plenty of drinking water and helpful kitchen supplies. Bed was comfortable. Air conditioning in all rooms which was awesome since the no see em bugs are in full force in the early mornings and at dusk! We would stay here again! It’s in a nice central location of island.

2nd Stay Equally as Amazing

This was our second trip back to Casa Libra and beautiful Eleuthera. My wife and I had another incredible stay. This house remains top shelf. Comfortable, amazing views, well stocked, and excellent location to both north, central, and south beaches and sites. Ed is fantastic to work with and Dan helps you with everything you need while on island. Thank you!! We will be back!

A very nice stay in the Exumas

as already mentioned in the other reviews facilities super and everything in abundance and the location is great. But you have to be aware that you are on the 'Atlantic' side... it can sometimes be windier... but only 2 minutes by car across the road you are in a wonderful and very quiet lagoon All in all, we enjoyed it very much and felt very comfortable and ED gave us a great and very friendly welcome and introduction Thank you very much ! Stunning Views!

We loved this villa and will stay here again! The house was comfortable and well stocked with items to make your stay even easier. It’s location was pretty much in the center of the island. It had easy access to restaurants in James Cistern, Rainbow Bay and Alice Town. Also convenient to a well stocked grocery store. The best part was the stunning view from all the windows!!

We wanted to have a quick quite getaway over memorial day and found Casa Libre by chance! what a blessing we were certainly not disappointed ! we have been going to the island for almost 9 years and have rented many homes and for a 2 bedroom this is by far the best one yet and we will certainly be back! we like staying at different area on the island but this one will definitely be our 2 bedroom location from now on. The pictures are exact but the home and view are even better. The owner and Dan the host were great and always availible which is nice when needed! you will NOT WANT TO LEAVE!

Annual Paradise in Eleuthera Trip

Casa Libre was a beautiful home with gorgeous views! The porch was nice to sit on and enjoy and we did giggle when the "ghost chairs" blew across the porch -- didn't have to check wind direction! Loved the projector too! We figured it out!! Yea!The house was ready for our stay and Dan was an excellent guide at check in. Grocery and supply stores were close by and, knowing the island, we knew where we wanted to go to get our favorites but we tried some new places as well.I went to mass in Gregorytown and Hatchet Bay which was new as I usually go to Governor's Harbour. Was a nice change and got to see Msgr. Johnson again. Already have been looking at the calendar for next year!

Paradise Escape

Casa Libre checked all the boxes for my wife and I for our first visit to Eleuthera! Ed and Dan were both amazing with answering our questions both prior to arrival, during our personal check-in and walk-through, and with any questions we had during our stay. WE LOVED THIS HOUSE ! It was clean, very comfortable, quiet, had a well stocked kitchen, had great artwork throughout the villa, and the views were incredible. Breakfast and coffee on the porch with ocean view, daily island adventures, and then wine & dinner back on the porch was our daily routine. AMAZING. Thank you for sharing your lovely home! We will be back!

Just book it!

Ed and Dan were fabulous! I took my mom on a trip to get her very first passport stamp! We had a wonderful time! The kitchen is well stocked work just about anything you could possibly need. It was incredible to be totally unplugged from life in the states for a week! It was an incredibly relaxing environment! It was very clean and well appointed in every way! Ed answered my many questions during the planning phase promptly and thoroughly! Dan met us at the house and ran us through the ins and outs. We really enjoyed the location of the property as it is centrally located in the island. Rainbow Beach(5 mins away) is lovely with fun snorkeling near the rock jettys. Thank you Ed for sharing your stunning home with us! Memories to last a lifetime!

Stunning Property & Location

This house sits right on the beautiful & wild Atlantic Ocean…and it was particularly wild while we were there! We loved sitting on the porch (when it wasn’t too windy or rainy) watching & listening to the waves crash against the rocks. The good thing about this location is that the calm Caribbean side is only a couple of minutes drive away. We loved spending time at Rainbow Bay Beach which was calm and great for swimming & snorkeling. Groceries & liquor stores were a few minutes drive away. Just be prepared for a limited stock (and high prices!) especially for fresh fruit & veggies as everything is imported. Location was a good jump off point for a lot of different things. The house itself is a beautiful, modern, concrete structure with lovely decor. There’s a million plates, cocktail glasses and many fancy appliances, however it seemed to be lacking some basic items like salt shaker, citrus juicer, soup ladle etc. Also there was hardly any storage for clothing. If there had been another couple staying with us they would have had none as that closet was full of things for the house. I personally like to unpack when somewhere for a week. Wifi didn’t work at all while we were there, so if you need to be connected you’ll have to go use wifi at a local restaurant. This made connecting with manager trickier. Power was out for almost 24 hours due to a powerful storm and power line coming down, but house has a gas stove and high powered flashlights which lit up whole room.

First time ever taking two weeks vacation

My wife and I are very busy career oriented people and this is the first time we have ever taken two weeks off. Casa Libre at rainbow Bay in eleuthera was perfect. I'm sure we will be ask what we did for 2 weeks and the answer will be nothing. And nothing is exactly what was needed.

Delightful and secluded property

We really enjoyed staying at Casa Libre and Dan (property manager) worked quite hard to make sure our stay was smooth. Unfortunately, the Wi-Fi hotspot suffered a network outage and Dan had to kill some wasps but otherwise the house was clean, well stocked, and had a million dollar view. The old corral reef in front of the water made for fun walks and shelling. Thanks Dan for being so attentive!

Incredible view from a special house

We have been coming to Eleuthera for ten years staying all over the island in resorts and villas and, therefore, I feel that I can say from experience that Casa Libre is a special place. The architect situated the house to the ocean beautifully allowing for incredibly expansive views. The wrap-around porch permits ample shade. The open plan in the common area takes advantage of the views and tricks one into feeling/thinking that the space is much larger than it is. The open kitchen is a joy to cook in while viewing the ocean beyond. AND the kitchen is definitely a cook’s kitchen with everything you need including a great espresso machine. The owners have furnished the house very tastefully with original art, appropriate and comfortable furniture. You can tell they care. Dan, the concierge, is super responsive, upbeat, problem solving, and has a great knowledge of the island. All said, we had a very rainy week (the first ever) and I don’t know how we would have fared so well without Dan and Casa Libre. We will be back.

Everything we hoped for

I did a lot of searching before selecting this property for our Eleuthera vacation, and I'm delighted that I made the right choice. Everything worked as it was supposed to (we had two questions, but they were answered quickly with a phone call) and it was effortless living. Beautiful view, of course. All in all, a great home for a great week in a great location.

Atlantic Beauty

We always wanted to experience the Atlantic side of Eleuthera. This house was perfect for just that. The large beautiful covered desk overlooking the ocean was well appointed for watching the crashing waves. We like to cook and the kitchen was well stocked with all that was needed to prepare meals. There is a grocery store just south of the house that was very handy. The nearby beach was awesome and we spent many days enjoying the Caribbean side of the ocean. The house was stocked with beach items that made life so enjoyable. Any questions or concerns we had Dan was right there to resolve. Thanks Dan and Ray!!!

Loved our stay at Casa Libre

Our first trip since the Pandemic and we could not have chosen a better place. Ed is a wonderful host, answering all our questions so speedily and helping us to make the most of our stay. Dan greeted us and also gave us very helpful suggestions. The house is amazing. We loved waking up to see the sea and wave watching from every spot around the house! We loved swimming at Rainbow Bay and favourite restaurants included the Front Porch, Shipyard at Spanish Wells and Le Rose. Highly recommend Casa Libre. We very much hope to return.

Great House with views

House is nicely appointed, beautiful view, centrally located for North and Southern Eleuthera day trips. I would definitely rent this house again in a minute, I wish I would had booked two weeks instead of one.
