This unique two-story three-bedroom, 2 1/2 bath cottage (villa) offers over 1,800 square feet of living space and a spacious porch and is easy walking distance from the beach, indoor and outdoor pools and fitness center.

You’ll find a spacious living room, dining room, and fully appointed kitchen with breakfast counter, refrigerator, microwave, dishwasher and laundry area with full-size washer and dryer. Just off the living room is a large screened back porch with plenty of outdoor seating.

In addition to the main living areas, there are three bedrooms. The master suite has a large master bath with a garden tub, a separate glass-enclosed shower, and a double vanity. Upstairs you'll find two bedrooms and one full bath. Other features include a ½ bath adjacent to the living area, vaulted ceilings, ceiling fans, central heating and air conditioning, and lots of storage areas.

Great Place To Stay For Families!

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Our family of 6 thoroughly enjoyed staying at Caribe at Martinique on the Gulf! It provided everything needed for a pleasant stay- fully stocked kitchen, W/D, tv, games, etc. We would definitely return. Opportunities for improvement: unit had been cleaned a few days before our arrival, I believe. There were a few cobwebs on the baseboards, the 1/2 bath had a sewer smell from non-use but the smell went away once we used the bathroom.

Premier Time

We checked in late and everything was in a ziplock bag at the guardhouse, which was manned. The property was exactly as pictured. Plenty of room, plenty of seating, lovely appointments. Kitchen had most everything you might need. Management was super friendly and helpful. Golf cart and amenities were fabulous, especially with two driving teens with us. Great location and the screened in back porch right at the water is the perfect place to read! It was super clean and comfortable. People in the area were friendly and waved all around. Not one complaint here!

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We love staying at The Martinique and this time was no exception, only with a few hiccups. This was our first time booking outside private owner or VRBO and paying $58 for ONE parking pass and $308 for a cleaning fee was very excessive IMO. The house was not cleaned well enough for that price. Our feet were black after walking on the floors, spider webs, and mold in the upstairs tub. Also, bring extra toilet tissue, paper towel, etc. The property as a whole was very nice though. Clean pool, landscaping and the beach wasn't crowded at all!

I would suggest to the owner to regulate the temperature of unit better. To be comfortable downstairs upstairs was very humid. The place could definitely be cleaned better. You can definitely tell unit has been used a little harshly. A few cosmetic things, better cleaning standards and place would be very homey. Although we did not utilize all of unit it seemed very equips for a longer stay. The golf cart is a nice amenity. Overall it accommodated us well.

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We loved the privacy and low key nature of the property. We loved access to 2 pools and the beach with the use of a golf cart. Unfortunately the hone was not cleaned well. There was food and sand on the floor. The grill was broken and they never replaced it as they said they were doing. The gutters above the front door were leaking causing a down pour and huge puddle as we tried to pack in the rain. No one seemed to care as we checked out about any of our issues. The gentleman that was in charge of upkeep told us he didn’t care if we destroyed the place.

I was very dissatisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Did not like all rules they will give you $100 ticket for not hurry and putting your tag on your car we got there it was raining I had a son that was on hospice and had to take care of him first they put it on my vehicle at 11:00 at night could not come to the door the next morning and ask could you please put your tag on your car I had two 15-year-olds and they would not let them Drive the golf cart I think that's ridiculous for an adult to have to transport a teenager around what about adults the way they act on the carts no difference sad we used to love to go to this location but a lot of things has changed too strict

Reviewer Comments: We had to quickly evacuate because of the last Hurricane so we were able to get a last minute rental at one of our favorite beach spots. Very thankful we were able to escape no power at home and enjoy the beach a little bit. The actual property we stayed in wasn’t our favorite and was very dirty but the staff was nice and we come so often we overlooked the home not being exactly what we wanted.

Great time, just missed on being the "perfect" place to stay.

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Third overall stay at Martinique. Love all aspects of the property, feeling like you are away from civilization, the privacy, and safety that come with staying there. The Caribe cottage was kind of a "letdown" as far as condition/attention to details. Little nitpicky detail stuff probably on my part, dirty sidewalks around the house, spider webs & the need for a spray/wipe-down around the entry windows/doors. Screening for the back porch needs a little attention. Inside was a little more of the same, floors in the kitchen were slimy when we got there. Pulled out the mops and gave them a once over for good measure & it improved. There is no pantry, so any food you buy has to sit out on the counter. Bathroom fixtures were loose and seemed like they were about to fall out the wall. The mattresses all seemed cheap, hard, worn out. A day of work and new mattresses would do wonders for the property.As far as amenities in the house, most everything we looked for in the place we found, it is stocked well. The new 4x4 looking golf cart was awesome, loved driving it around. The grill is quite nice as well, cooked on it multiple times over the week. Plenty of seating in the place, room to stretch out. Wifi worked well after rebooting the unit early the 2nd day. Had bad luck with the weather/June grass that limited beach time, stayed at the wonderful pools most all week. Will likely be back, just unlikely to choose this unit next time.

My Stay

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was very clean. I was happy with the location. I was very satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: I did enjoy the house. I think the description needs to be a bit more clearer. The property is not on the beach. I didn’t have a beach view as I thought I would. It was swamp/crocodile type Atmosphere in the back on the house. I thought there was a pool at the house but you have to use the golf cart provided to get to it as well as the beach. There were 5 of us with 1 golf cart. Piled up with all we needed to take to the beach which was about a 5 min drive on the golf cart. Again the house was nice and clean and if you don’t want to be actually on the beach you will love it. If I was just coming to be in the house it would’ve been perfect but I wanted beach view and was thinking I would walk out of the house on to the beach but it’s not. Bring extra garbage bags, tissue, paper towels, dish soap, laundry detergent because you will need to wash towels if you use those that are provided in the house. Washing machine & dryer is in the house. As I said if I was going to just relax inside the house it would have been perfect.
