Cheerful decor, spacious rooms, and thoughtful touches in this renovated home in the historic Bates-Hendricks neighborhood make it perfectly suited for your trip to Indianapolis! Make yourself at home in this 2 story, spacious home, complete with a full kitchen, wi-fi, and laundry room. It's a 5 minute drive to Bankers Life, Lucas Oil Stadium, the Indianapolis Convention Center and all the downtown amenities. Also, a short walk to Fountain Square area for fantastic restaurants and night life.

The space
This home was originally built in 1920 and still retains much of it's vintage charm! The location makes it a breeze to get downtown or to one of the other cultural districts for nightlife and activities. This space and location is ideal for families or groups of friends who are coming into town to explore the city or go to an event. The home accommodates 6 comfortably. There are enough beds and air mattresses to sleep 9 at the maximum, for groups looking for an economic choice, but please note that there is only one full bathroom (and one half bathroom) and the living areas are setup for smaller groups.

Guests are able to access the main floor, which consists of a living room, dining room, kitchen, main floor bathroom/laundry room, as well as the upstairs which consists of 3 bedrooms and 1 full bathroom. The basement is off-limits for guests.

This property was conveniently located 1.5 miles away from the convention center my daughter’s volleyball team was playing at for a tournament so the drive to and from was quick and easy. The house was also right across the street from a convenience store and a gyro & Indian food truck which helped when we arrived in the evening to grab something to eat. Clinton, the host was very responsive and answered my questions quickly.

House is old, but in decent shape despite it and the unit was clean. Amenities stated were provided and beds were quite comfortable. The owner/manager was very nice and responsive. The property is part of a side by side, so there are neighbors and the road/traffic noise was awful especially for sleeping in the king bedroom which faces the street. If you are used to noise, probably not an issue, and ear plugs would help. Property was a 5-10 minute uber ride to the Indiana Convention Center, and the coffee shop down the street from the house was great!

Great weekend stay!

We were in town for a 3 day competition at Lucas Oil and the location was convenient with very inexpensive Uber/Lyft options. It was walkable, but the weather was hot and we chose not to. The beds were comfortable and the temperature was easy to adjust. The space was nice to hang out in!

Good location in Bates-Hendricks area

This would be a great place for 4-6 college buddies to stay for a game. A lot of space. Short walk to Fountain Square, a bit longer to downtown Indy but still walkable. The unit is a bit rough around the edges, but we enjoyed our stay regardless. Small things could use a little TLC to easily make this place a 5-start property

We enjoyed staying in this neighborhood within walking distance of downtown and Garfield park. The house shows it's age and has a few quirks but it didn't impact our stay in any major way.

We checked in and ultimately left shortly after arrival due to the condition of the property and safety concerns.Upon arrival, we encountered an individual on a neighboring property handling what appeared to be a hatchet and engaging in erratic, repetitive movements on the front porch. This raised safety concerns for our group.We initially had difficulty accessing the front door, but were able to enter through the rear using the code provided. Upon entry, there was a noticeable musty odor. We also observed multiple cleanliness and maintenance issues, including visible stains on walls and surfaces, debris in furniture, uneven flooring, exposed or poorly finished areas around fixtures, and a stair railing that did not appear properly secured.We left the property and, upon returning briefly, the situation outside remained unchanged, which contributed to our decision that it was not reasonable or comfortable to stay.We contacted the host but were unable to resolve the situation. Communication was not productive, and we were told our presence at the property was unauthorized despite using the provided entry code, and were asked to cancel the reservation from our side.Based on our experience, the property did not match the expectations set by the listing, and we would not stay here again

Video and audio evidence refute in the evidence of an encounter with a neighbor. The guests came, had dinner and drinks for several hours by the outdoor video evidence and refuse evidence, then made a unilateral decision without any consultation, any reporting, any communication at all with me the host to end their stay. Prior to their stay beginning, they failed to provide identification, which is necessary to gain credentials for entry. Apparently forced entry was their method of entry. The sequence of events also is misleading, they left the property, they contacted VRBO, not me, and of course, once they said they weren’t staying and had had checked out, they were no longer welcome at the property. They self refused the property, unilaterally. The petty remarks about quality are deflection in my opinion and supported by my opinion post inspection.

Perfect location for downtown stay

Close to town, nice house (oldie but a goodie). Across the street from a convenience store . One note - not a complaint - you are close to a highway and bedrooms are upstairs, so bring a sound machine or ear plugs and a sleep mask.

Great location and space for what we needed

We we went to Monster Energy Supercross at Lucas Oil Stadium. The distance is walkable, we walked one leg and took a Lyft the other. House was spacious enough so my teen could have time to himself in one of the bedrooms. My kids first time in a VRBO.

affordable no frills good location

My friend and I met here with our two teens as it’s half way between where we live. House is within walking distance of cute restaurants (daiquiri factory, coffee shop and burger place). Very close to downtown - dog friendly neighborhood (coffee shop gave him treats). House is spacious and comfy but it’s very basic so if you need fancy wouldn’t recommend. It was budget friendly and fun area so perfect for what we were looking for. Owner also very responsive.

Convenient to Indiana Convention Center

Clinton was good to work with. He responded to texts quickly if we had a question. We came into town for the MEQ volleyball tournament. Parking at the house was easy as was getting to the convention center which was about 1.5 miles away. The house was older but quaint and aside from having only one shower, our stay was just fine.

decent location/average accommodations

It was nice to be relatively close to Lucas oil stadium. The stairs getting into the townhouse were difficult to handle and the front door lockbox didnt work. The shower was incredibly slippery! The owner needs to put something down on the tub or install bars to hold on to. Overall, the townhome was a decent place to sleep.
