Our stay was wonderful. The view is truly incredible. There is ample sleeping and bathrooms for 2-3 families. We enjoyed time in the house, at the fire pit, both decks, and of course by the beach. We got lucky the first day the waves were calm and the shore was filled with rocks! My kids LOVED rock hunting for hours!! I was pleasantly surprised the steps to beach were not as intense as some of the other places we’ve stayed at along the Lake Michigan bluffs. Our only setback, later in our stay, was the combination of the waves and the dock pilings along the shoreline in this area made it unsafe for our kids to swim at the house so we did have to drive to the first street beach to swim. Other than that it was great!

We really enjoyed our week there! We loved the big deck with sun set views, the fire pit area, and the ability to gather 3 families and kids comfortably. Communication was good and the kitchen was well-equipped. We found a beautiful sandy beach (Magoon) just 5 mins up the road. The beach right in front of house has some rocks and wood, it was beautiful and fine for walking, but not the best for swimming and playing.

Family vacation

Every year we head up to Manistee for a Fourth of July family vacation. This year we decided to stay farther out of town than normal. The place was wonderful and isolated and offered a completely different vibe than staying in or near the city.

À propos de l’hôte

Hôte : Mike and Tammy

Image de profil de l’hôte
We love creating a space where families and groups can slow down, reconnect, and experience everything that makes a Lake Michigan getaway special. Whether it’s spending the day on the beach, enjoying sunset dinners on the deck, gathering around after a long day on the water, or simply relaxing with coffee overlooking the lake, this home was designed for making memories together.

Hosting has been incredibly rewarding because every group experiences the property a little differently. Some come for golf weekends, others for family vacations, beach trips, fishing excursions, or peaceful escapes from busy schedules. We wanted this home to feel warm, welcoming, spacious, and comfortable for every kind of stay.

Voici pourquoi l’hôte a choisi cet hébergement

This area offers the perfect balance of peaceful lakefront living and convenient access to everything guests love about Manistee. The private sandy beach, breathtaking Lake Michigan sunsets, and quiet surroundings make it feel relaxing and secluded, while downtown shops, restaurants, breweries, golf courses, and marinas are still just a short drive away.

The natural beauty here is what truly makes it special. From beach walks and boating in the summer to colorful fall scenery and cozy lake views year round, there’s something calming and memorable about being right on the water

Voici ce qui rend cet hébergement unique

What makes this property stand out is the rare combination of direct Lake Michigan frontage, private sandy beach access, panoramic sunset views, and space for large groups to gather comfortably together.

The massive waterfront deck is one of the home’s best features, offering incredible views of Lake Michigan and the perfect place for outdoor dining, morning coffee, or watching the sunset over the water each evening. Inside, the home features three levels of living space, oversized lake facing windows, multiple gathering areas, and comfortable sleeping arrangements that work well for families, reunions, and group vacations.

Many properties offer lake views, but very few combine this much space, private beach access, and a true Northern Michigan lakefront experience all in one place.
