Located above the historical Harigle Garage built in 1912, this 2 bedroom condominium is the perfect location for any adventure in the Wayne National Forest. Currently under construction on the main floor is the Black Diamond Brewery and Distillery scheduled to open in late summer 2021. Step out the front door into the architecture that will bring you back into the 1880's and the glory days when coal was king in Southeast Ohio. Hit the Black Diamond Tavern after your adventure on the Buckeye Trail.

Nicely refurbished, ample space and everything you need. One bed was good, second one should be replaced. The bar in town was a big draw for me and my son, but the vibe was off, we went during dinner hour to catch a football game and the music was rap and tooo loud. We had a beer and left. Cool old town with nothing to offer.

The host was very communicative & nice! The only “issue” we had with the place was it was pretty dirty. While I may be a clean freak, I think it’s fair to say that the place could’ve used a professional cleaning. The doors & walls were dirty, the baseboards were as well. Quite a lot of dead centipedes & other bugs that looked to be dead for some time now & we made sure to wear shoes most of the time. The shower was not only dirty as well but it’s VERY small and the shower head placement made it even more difficult to shower. Again, GREAT host, good location and relatively easy to find however, it could use a top to bottom deep clean!

Check in and communication from the host was great. Before walking into the home there was water all over the floor, possibly from the dishwasher. It was soaked through a towel and rug that was nearby to stop the water. We checked in late and almost slipped on the floor, since we weren't able to see. The sink in the bathroom was very slow to drain and the tops to the faucets came off. It states the condo sleeps six. Four can sleep in two different rooms on a queen size bed. Bed in on of the rooms was very hard. The other two folks have to sleep in a futon which isn't very small and although it's leather it's not very comfortable. We had a group of 5 which was a little tight. Condo is better suited for four people.

Very disappointing Steve that you would hold the host responsible for what we discovered was a dishwasher leak after the fact. We immediately addressed the same and we will stand by all of our 5-star reviews as anyone would understand a dishwasher leak that occurred after cleaning for your arrival was something we had no control over. It would be difficult to address a water issue if we had no notice of the same. Secondly, no guest in the years of hosting this unit has complained specifically about mattress firmness. Future guests can determine the fairness of your review.

Seclusion

3 day weekend getaway. Property was very well equipped making it feel like a home during visit rather then a typical rental. Unique in style and location. Enjoyed it immensely

Super cool little town.

Nice, clean, quiet little town. Full of interesting old buildings. The rental was a great space, very roomy, nice, well kept, well equipped. We would definitely stay here again. We was in town to see some caves and waterfalls. It did not disappoint.

Sweetness of Shawnee

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in Shawnee, and without a doubt, we’ll be back! The owner was very accommodating and communicated with us whenever we had a question. Also, loved the Tavern that’s close by! They had music, and it was a lot of fun!

Modern accomodations in Shawnee Oh

Beautiful and large apartment in Shawnee. We walked the town and had dinner at the Black Diamond bar. Live entertainment, Randy Gleason (I think) was EXTREMELY TALENTED. Nice hub for Hocking Hills and surrounding area.

Relaxing getaway

Great little gem of a town. We can't wait to see how it grows. We wanted a quiet place near Hocking Hills for our anniversary weekend. That is exactly what we got. The apartment was great. Not far from the activities. It was clean and updated. Highly recommend staying here.

A history buff’s dream!

We loved everything about our stay! I’ve wanted to visit Shawnee for a while, when I saw this location on Vrbo, we immediately booked it for our girls getaway. The manager Amanda at the Black Diamond Tavern was very welcoming and helpful. Wing night was yummy and fun. The towns people are very friendly. Brett was very quick to respond and very helpful. Definitely a 10 out of 10 awesome experience for us! :)

A Surprisingly Great Stay

We flew out from Los Angeles to stay with family for Christmas. The family home was a little crowded so we opted to look for a nearby lodging option. I didn’t know what to expect but the place ended up being great. Lots of space. Great and easy instructions for the internet/check-in/check-out procedures. I look forward to staying here next year.

Removed from the crowd in Shawnee

Shawnee is a great place to stay that gets you away from the Hocking Hill tourism without being too far from the state park. Additionally, there are multiple other hikes, parks, rides near to Shawnee that allow you to enjoy the beauty of the area. The accommodations were more than we expected! Great place to stay, especially if you have a family and want to spread out. The folks at the Black Diamond Tavern were welcoming and helpful, too!
