The big draw to this property is how overly pet friendly it is! Some say it even caters more to dogs than to people. Onsite services include FURology Paw Spa & Retreat offering dog-sitting and grooming services. We also have a great pool area and sundeck for guests to enjoy.

There is a 40 lb weight limit for dogs. Restricted breeds include Pit Bulls, Staffordshire Terriers, German Shepherds, Rottweilers, Presa Canarios, Chow, Mastiffs, Doberman Pinschers, Akita, Wolf hybrids, Cane Corso, Great Danes, Alaskan Malamutes, Boxers, Huskies, American Bulldogs, Mini Bullies, and Belgian Malinois. This includes mixes of these breeds as well.

If you are bringing a dog on your trip, the pet fee is already included in your quote when selecting ‘Yes’ to pets. If you would like to add more dogs, please contact us.

First time to Myrtle

First time visiting this beach and a tropical storm came along. But the stay was still good. And this isn't ever a rating but should be...the shower water pressure was amazing!!

No Murphy Bed

When we booked this room, it was advertised as having a murphy bed. However, when we arrived there was only a sofa bed which was very uncomfortable for me with my disabilities. In addition, the appearance of the room was horrible. It looked as if there had been a fight in the room. There were holes punched in doors which had been poorly patched and the kitchen cabinet doors and vinyl coverings were falling off. The bathtub had no stopper and could not be used for bathes only showers. The room was in very poor repair. We have stayed at this resort before and always had a great experience. We especially like that it is pet friendly and we can bring our fur babies who are given excellent treatment by the staff and groomers. However, if this had been our first experience, it would be our last.

Great stay for the price!

I stayed stayed here over a weekend with 2 other adults and my dog. Considering the price and the fact that we booked very last minute, my expectations were pretty low. Staff at the property were great, all were very friendly and helpful. This is the first time I had brought my dog with me to the beach or a trip like this in general, the property was very accommodating to pets. My expectations were definitely exceeded. I would have liked for the room to be a bit cleaner so that is why I gave 4 stars and not 5. But would definitely recommend for a short trip.

Good but


The room was good but rooms 922/924 need to lose the front door. The door slams so hard- it literally shakes the ENTIRE 918 room. I cant imagine what 920 feels like when they do that. Anyways, that happened all night, every night the entire stay I had so that was truly whack. Pros: Room was clean. 4/5. Smelled like lemon Mr. Clean floor cleaner upon entry. Towels in room are amazing- soft and cushiony. Kitchen was great. The floor plan would have been great minus the above mentioned slamming of doors. Beach front. Elevators are quick- despite constantly being in use. Andrew at the front desk was great. Bedding was soft and clean- great for the upcoming summer months. Broom in room. Kitchen was well equipped- including a dish sponge which was previously lacking. Cons: They no longer provide pool towels. People are inconsiderate- slamming doors, kids screaming, marijuana usage on almost every balcony which isn’t within the hotel’s control. The hotel should remove the “entry” door to the hallway to rooms 922/924 as people don’t know how to close doors softly. All in all- I would not stay here again merely for the sole reason of the door being constantly slammed and getting NO sleep.

Not Worth the Ocean View

Cockroaches, dog waste in common areas, water coming through ceiling from unit above are, constant dogs barking are only a few of the reasons this place should be avoided. Overall building was run down and dirty. Nice being on the ocean but would much prefer a nice place away from the beach over this place.

Not for us

Location is good - close to many attractions but I expected a better area for pets than a small area with artificial grass. The closest natural area was off the premises with no lighting. We had an older dog and this was not a good situation. We left after 1 night. I expected a better area for pets since advertised as pet friendly.

Ok for the price

Nice to be right on the beach. Unit was smaller than expected, could use some updates (new furniture - couch was very worn out, beds not very comfortable, not much storage) and had a strange smell to it. However, the management company and housekeeping were very responsive to try and resolve. Front desk staff very helpful with suggestions for attractions and restaurants. There was a large group of college students on site, so we were not able to use pool/hot tub due to crowding.

Ocean Park resort

I loved the ocean view from this room on the 9th floor! The rooms were clean and bug free! Housekeeping were constantly cleaning the hotel! (But they don’t come in your room unless you request which I loved so we didn’t worry that our dogs would get out)The beds were very comfortable. The floors were not carpeted and were dog friendly! The rooms are a bit outdated but perfect for us with our dogs! The staff were all very friendly and helpful!
