With five bedrooms and over 4000 sq ft, you and your family can invite and enjoy up to 24 guests without compromising on comfort or privacy. Both inside and out you’ll find comfortable seating, warm, Northwoods accents and spectacular views.

The home features a modern kitchen that’s fully appointed with everything you’ll need to entertain and feast after an eventful day exploring. The great room exits to a sweeping deck that spans the length of the home’s lakefront side. Just beyond the great room’s river rock fireplace you’ll find outdoor seating in a cozy, enclosed gazebo overlooking Hiawatha Lake. The home’s lower level for is perfectly equipped for young children to escape to, equipped with a foosball table to cool off after an adventurous summer day on the lake.

Home Sweet Hiawatha's location is perfect for all those looking for a private, scenic lake vacation! The slight decline to Hiawatha Lake is met with a large private pier with plenty of space to reel in a morning catch or enjoy an evening cocktail under the stars. Non-motorized watercraft is provided to explore the lake, though motorized watercraft are not permitted on Hiawatha Lake. With a plethora of nearby lakes to explore, enjoy the privacy and peace of a lake vacation without all of the commotion large watercraft contribute to the summer season.

Winter vacations to the Northwoods are the perfect combination of serenity and exploration with over 500 miles of snowmobile trails in Vilas County, easily accessible right from the property. We had a great time, even with the rain we were thankful for the game room, and the outside driveway. The boys loved the basketball hoop and we played pickleball too. Enjoyed the pedal boat and kayaks also.

Great for a large group! Plenty of space for everyone to be together and separate as needed.Unfortunately, the beds were very hard making a good nights rest impossible. The ladder on the dock was missing many rungs and made it difficult to exit the water.

Annual ski trip

This was the 35th year of our ski trip and while we had no skiable snow, we did hiking and ice fishing. We appreciated the large house with multiple sitting areas. Kitchen was well equipped too. Very nice to have the garage available to store ice fishing gear!

Spacious and clean

The house is spacious and clean. The lake is pretty nice, but no fish. Good for swimming when the weather is warmer. It is located in between Eagle River and Minocqua, got to see all 3 towns.

Weekend Getaway For Larger Groups

It was super easy and efficient booking with Hiller Properties. They were accommodating and prompt with service. The house and property itself is gorgeous. It was perfect for our weekend getaway with friends. My only complaint was how dirty the deck/warming shack/dock were. We spent a good chunk of our time sweeping off the cobwebs and pollen. Overall, we would stay again.

New Years Celebration

A huge home that still feels cozy and welcoming. We had a large group and dogs all there was still plenty of open space for gear, luggage and no need to dance around each other. Very private, beautiful view and yet close to town for supplies, shopping etc. We enjoyed the gazebo fire pit for an entire afternoon which made for a special way to have several age ranges just chat and share stories. Great time! Thanks for sharing your lovely home with us!

Fabulous vacation home!!

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We absolutely loved our stay at Sweet Home Hiawatha. 15 of us (4 families) celebrated my husbands 60th birthday and it was perfect. The house was very comfortable, well stocked with everything we needed and a perfect location to the snowmobile trails. Our dog loved the fenced in yard! The large kitchen and large living room were perfect and my husband (who still thinks he’s in college) loved the football table in the lower level. Thank you!

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The cabin was lovely and very clean and met all of our expectations. However, the 8:00 AM check out was a bit of a problem. One of our party was recovering from back surgery and doesn't move real fast. On several occasions I requested a later check out even, 9:00 would have been nice, but I was told that this was not possible. Heck, even 2 star hotels will accommodate later check outs.

Everything was clean upon arrival. I had plenty of recreational activities at the house for us to enjoy. How's layout was really nice and fun. Only thing I would like is a later checkout time.

Wonderful home for family vacation!

This home was perfect for our family vacation. Eleven of us including one infant and a 2yr old. The fenced in yard for our dogs was perfect! We all had plenty of space. The kitchen was fantastic and so roomy! Thank you for sharing your lovely home!

Sweet Home Hiawatha

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was very clean. I was somewhat unhappy with the location. I was very satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We stayed at the home in early August; group of 10(5 adults, 5 teens, two dogs). The house was great—more than enough room for our party. The fenced in area off the patio was perfect for the dogs to run. My elderly father in law thoroughly enjoyed the many deer walking through the yard and visiting the feeder. Kids informed us after the fact that the tubs upstairs did not drain—probably could be ‘snaked’, minor fix. We were disappointed with the lake frontage—this is not swimming frontage by any means. The shoreline is boggy and muck. It’s 5-6’ deep at the end of the dock, but again, all muck and black water. Great pan fishing there, but we caught a few turtles, including snappers (again, not ideal for swimming). We were able to work with the great staff in the Hiller Office and rented a pontoon on little St. Germain for a day for the kids to swim. We did a lot of fun things in town to make up for not having a swim area. This would be a perfect property to visit in Fall or Winter, but if you’re looking for a summer lake house, you may want to reconsider. Again, beautiful home, just not what we had hoped for on the lake.

Beautiful place to gather. Plenty of room for everyone.

This beautiful home has everything you need for a vacation. The large kitchen and tables allowed everyone to be included around the tables. It included everything we needed ~ very comfortable. There was room for parking, extra refrigerator space, sleeps 22, lots of room to spread out. We completely enjoyed ourselves. We brought our family together to snowmobile. It would also be a great place for a summer family gathering!
