Appartement de montagne, bien équipé, près des pistes de ski

Squaw Valley 4 is located at 'snow sure' altitude at the top of Plagne Villages (2100 metres) above the ski lifts (you ski down to the lifts). Our ground floor apartment has a terrace and bench a few paces from the slopes and you can ski back to the door. Mainly North facing slopes guarantee superb skiing from December to the end of April. A well equipped apartment providing all the facilities for an excellent skiing holiday. The building was reroofed and reclad in 2021, and our apartment has new double glazed windows and external door. The apartment has a living area which sleeps 2 people on the bed settee at night, and a bunk bed for upto 3 people. It also has a separate galley kitchen, bathroom and toilet and a dining space for up to 5 people.

La Plagne boasts France's largest single ski resort and now with the link to Les Arcs probably the largest interlinked ski area in the world. In the last five years we have developed a good working knowledge of La Plagne and over half of our bookings are from previous guests. The apartment is comfortable and well equipped (including for example, a DVD library, games and a sledge). La Plagne is well suited to self catering holidays with numerous supermarkets and shops. The skiing varies from wide and easy boulevards to testing glacier and off piste skiing. In summer La Plagne provides an excellent holiday base with mountain biking, tennis, swimming, walks in the Vanoise and rafting on the I'sere.

Travel: Easily accessible by car being about 620 miles from Calais: about 9 hours driving time. There is free open parking near the apartments. Geneva, Grenoble or Chambery are the most convenient airports to La Plagne and there is a coach or train transfer. Lyon is about the same distance and has train connections to Aime.

Caretaker: We have a local English caretaker who will resolve any problems with our apartment. They will be your point of contact if something goes wrong. We do not employ a cleaner and ask that our guests leave the apartment clean and tidy for the next guests. At the end of the rental period our caretaker will arrange to visit the apartment and ensure that the apartment is ready for the next guests.

Guests need to bring their own duvet covers (1 double / 3 single) pillowcases, undersheets, towels and tea towels. The apartment has double and single duvets and pillows. These is a small drying area in the bathroom and a heater.

Squaw Valley

I think this is about our 10th stay at Squaw Valley. My wife and I really appreciate the location, it is perfect ski in / out and being at over 2000mts has always been snow sure. The layout and size of the apartment is ideal for us and combined with the location of the Ski Rental shop and the bus stop for the free 'Navette' bus down to the centre of Plagne Villages makes it perfect. We will certainly be trying to book again for next season.

Appartement très fonctionnel - Accés direct piste

Nous avons trouvé cet appartement très fonctionnel grâce aux multiples astuces de rangement. Pratique et assez vaste pour 4 adultes. Cuisine récente bien équipée et salle de bain récente aussi. Nous avons apprécié ce séjour et les échanges avec le propriétaire Chris.

host was at resort so kindly came see us and explain all - very helpful.kitchen great, well provided for with proper OVEN, fridge, dishwasher, toaster, cooking utensils, knives that don't bend, bathroom with plenty hot water, bath (think hot water shrunk it) with shower. lots of little touches like loads of DVD tray for skis. sofa bed easy open/close. navette and ski hire just outside. ski in through back door. well presented - neat grouting and sealant. go again? YES

Super fijn verblijf bij een super vriendelijke eigenaar

Direct aan de piste, mogelijkheid voor twee slaapkamers. Nette keuken en badkamer. Complex is niet gehorig. Leuk ingericht en super fijne en snelle communiatie met de eigenaar. Je voelt je snel thuis en heerlijke bedden.

We had enough space in the apartment for three, but for five with all the ski clothes, ski helmets and ski equipment it would have been very tight. It's a shame that the previous tenants didn't leave the beautiful apartment as clean as they found it. however, this is individual. the apartment has everything it needs. the location is perfect. my daughter and I always drove to the shop with the popo slides from the terrace in the evening, went shopping and took the bus, which commutes every 15 minutes, back to the apartment. there we left our purchases at Mama snd/or Wife, and we both slid off the terrace back into the valley.

All I can say is this is an amazing place. Right on the slopes. Perfectly equipped for everything you need. Loads, and I mean loads of dvds to watch. I will be back.

Great stay.

We really enjoyed our stay. The apartment was well equipped and it was in a good location, especially if you can ski. The first few days when the kids were beginners we had to take the bus. By Thursday they could ski down to their lessons and Wednesday they could ski back in the afternoon. The kids could play outside in the snow. The owners Chris and Rachel are really helpful and we hope to stay in the apartment again.

Great Location for Apartment

We have skied from this apartment for approx 6 holidays and it never ceases to exceed all our hopes and expectations. It is truly ski in / out. The new Kitchen is a real bonus and the fact that the Bergerie restaurant is approx 250mts from the door means we can stop of at the end of the day for a quick drink! And then ski to the door.

Great Apartment & Ski Area

The apartment is fantastic. Nothing too fancy but a great video collection to pass evenings with. Ski home every evening and you can get fresh bread every morning at the ski shop.

Very nice apartment!

This february we stayed in this lovely apartment. It's well equiped, clean and everything you need during a week skiing is there. It's right on the slope and the ski-area is very wide. We enjoyed it with our 2 kids, age: 10 and 8, they also loved it there! The owner is kind and provided al lot of information.

Great place! February 2011

Perfect place if you and your family members can ski, as you just ski in and out of the place and can get Plagne Centre in no time. You get very good accomodation conditions for the price. Furthermore, the agent staying in the area is very helpful if you have any doubts or need to get ski passes (ours were waiting on the table when we arrived). The pile of movies available to watch in the apartment is amazing !! If we do not decide to go next year in bigger group, I would definately get back to this place. Thank you .

Christmas 2010 - Family of 4

The location of this apartment was excellent, plenty of space for playing outside - safe away from main slopes and ski in ski out with easy access to the whole area. Apartment was well equipped with plenty of storage space, during our stay our 9 year old daughter was poorly and couldn't ski - the hundreds of DVDs and videos along with the great family games like scrabble and monopoly kept us entertained. Would defintaley return

Lived up to (high) expectations!

We've just returned from a week at Squaw Valley and were delighted with the apartment. We were a mixed group, including an 8 year old who had never ski-ed before but by day 3 we were perfectly able to ski to and from the back door. The apartment is very thoughtfully equipped and laid out - absolutely smashing. The DVDs are a brilliant touch! I would happily recommend it to anyone as a comfortable and spacious base for a skiing holiday. For anyone staying for the first time, the navette which goes between the apartment, village, Plagne Soleil and Plage Centre is extremely handy if you don't want to drive or ski. Our one night out was at La Spatule in Plagne Villages (we caught the navette down) which was stunning - brilliant fondue and pizzas. Final recommendation is Reflex Ski School. The smallest one in the area I think, but excellent instructors and personal service.

location location location!

Have just returned from a fabulous week in La Plagne staying at Squaw Valley.The apartment is clean,spacious,very well equiped and in our opinion in one of the best locations of Plagne Villages.Depending on snow conditions it is possible to ski in and out of the apartment.During our stay the kind piste bashers came down as far as the back door so we had our own little groomed piste! One tip would be to order your bread from the sports shop just a few paces from the front door rather than walking down to the centre of Plagne Villages or you can ski down and get the lift back! We would definitely recommend this apartment and will have no hesitations in staying there again.

Just booked for a third time.

We love this apartment, it has a warm, cosy feel, with everything you need and is ideally situated right next to the pistes. At the rear, the ground floor terrace overlooks the slopes, and is a really sunny spot. The hill at the rear is great for the kids to sledge and play safely at the end of the day. There is also a great bar just above the apartment, you can end your day there, have a drink, then its a very short ski back to the apartment. Definitely to be recommended.

Been twice, planning to return.

Apartment is in a great location for ski in, ski out, and central to the whole La-Plagne area. The service with the caretaker meeting guests makes arrival and departing so easy. the free bus service stops directly outside the apartment block making travel around the various elments of La-Plagne very easy. There is a huge stock of DVD's in the Apartment and has kept us entertained when we are too tired to venture out in the evenings
