Nightly and Weekly Rentals

Welcome to The Sanctuary at Star Harbor! New to our rental program, this 3 bedroom, 2 bath lakefront condo offers breathtaking Tahoe views from the main living space, spacious deck and two of the three bedrooms.

Enter the condo via a short, uncovered pathway from the communal parking. Enter through the foyer-one queen bedroom is offered on the entry level. A full bath with a bathtub and shower combo and entrance from the foyer and bedroom is available. Journey up the stairs to the main great room space. Wow! What a view! 180 degree, breathtaking views are the highlight from the large lake facing windows. A cozy gas fireplace, flat screen TV with streaming options, dining for up to 8 and open kitchen with stainless steel appliances and granite countertops round on the main floor. The large deck off the main floor is truly special, enjoy the peace and beauty of Lake Tahoe and listen to the gentle sounds of the lake lapping at the shore from the comfort of your own private deck.

From the foyer, journey down the stairs to the main bedroom floor. Two bedrooms face the lake with views-a 'kids' bedroom with full/twin bunk and twin trundle (sleeps 4) and an additional queen bedroom (both have flat screen TVs featuring streaming options). Across the hall these two bedrooms share a bath equipped with a stand up shower. At the end of the hall a stackable washer/dryer is available.

Star Harbor is a secluded complex, located 1.5 miles east of Tahoe City. This lovely landscaped property is situated on two acres and offers a heated pool (seasonal), tennis courts and a shared 300' HOA pier. Enjoy being in the heart of north Lake Tahoe, only minutes to shopping and restaurants, 15 minutes to Alpine and Palisades and 20 minutes to Northstar.

There is no AC. To keep the property cool, open the windows and sliders at night to let cool air in, then close the windows, doors and blinds when you leave for the day.

Please remember that living in the mountains and staying in a private home means that there are some things we cannot control. For example, weather and harsh conditions have knocked out Wifi and the power before. While these instances are rare, we please ask that you are patient as these are things that we unfortunately cannot control. While we will try to accommodate all requests, we handle refunds for situations like this (power outages, appliances breaking, etc.) on a case by case basis.

It's literally on lake with an unobstructed panoramic view of Lake Tahoe. Perfect location - Tahoe City is walkable. Great communication and instructions from property manager.

A perfect winter retreat

What a fabulous stay. You can not be the views and location of this property. Very close to town, near the ski resorts and a quaint private neighborhood. I can’t wait to come back!

Lakeside Delight

My family and I loved our stay at this beautiful property. Being right on the lake is a special experience that we hope to have again! The StarHarbor property is really quiet and secluded yet walking & biking distance to Tahoe City.

Wonderful place right on Lake Tahoe

Hi - Beautiful place right on the lake - amazing sunrise and sunsets! Very well stocked for a rental - we did not lack for anything (which I find to be unusual in rentals). Very well located too. I think it's best suited for a family of four or five rather than 6-8 people. Highly recommend and hope to stay there again soon.

The Lakefront condo was wonderful. Being right on the water was awesome. The view was amazing. The deck is great. The grounds are beautiful and the walk down to the pier was great. The house is clean and comfortable and well stocked. We did not need anything. Beds comfortable. Your neighbor Karen was an angel who let my daughter and I use their kayaks. They also shared a video of a bear club who walked along the beach. Great location! Tahoe City has several great restaurants. Would definitely rent again. Very special place. Gorgeous view

Gorgeous view, cozy place. Loved seeing the mountains and lake from the living room and kitchen. I would recommend a new toaster, as it has difficulty heating. The top bunk should be for a small kid, as I had 3 tall teenage boys and that was hard on one of them, although we didn't see the trundle bed until the last morning.

Delightful Stay

We had a delightful stay at this property. It's well-maintained and you're literally just steps away from the water. It's location on the lake allows you to see both the sunrise and sunset, so it's a really gorgeous view. We also enjoyed playing pickleball on the community's courts. Kitchen was well-equipped, stove and oven easy to use and efficient. Large fridge. Comfy couch and TV had a lot of options (not that we watched much being able to enjoy the beautiful lake view and starry sky.) My only suggestion would be for the cleaning crew to check to make sure that the bath towels aren't musty as ours were unfortunately. If we're being charged a cleaning fee and also being asked to start a load of washing before checking out, it'd be good to make sure the linens are good to go for the next group.

Truly amazing stay!

We had a wonderful stay at this beautiful Star Harbor abode. The condo is (literally!) right on the water and views from the living room were spectacular. We spent most of the weekend enjoying each other's company and the beautiful surroundings. Holly was wonderful to communicate with - so responsive and accommodating. I would definitely stay here again and recommend to a group of friends or family.

Gorgeous view!

This townhome was even better than advertised. Clean and well appointed with super comfy beds. We had everything we needed for cooking breakfasts and dinners for 2 adults and 4 kids. And, of course, the view was spectacular. The cover on the reserved parking spot was too low to accommodate our SUV with carrier, but we were able to find parking in the common parking lot.

Great location. Great amenities. Will visit again.

Overall a fantastic property with great conveniences inside and outside the home. We used the fridge, the TV, the outdoor furniture. We also used the Tennis court and the swimming pool. The downtown is walkable and there are many walkable trails. The lock is a bit quirky and it required us to contact the manager. The house is spacious but a bit small for 3 couples and 2 kids. This is a perfect place for one large family or two small families.

Spring Skiing and Sunshine

Our group of 5 had a fantastic time time at the Sanctuary. The view is breathtaking!! The home is very well equipped with anything one would need for meals cooked at home. We took out all the chairs for the balcony and enjoyed cocktails in the sun! Skiing is 10 min away for a last day on the slopes before summer. We loved staying at the sanctuary and will be back.
