Cathy, we hate to hear you had such a poor experience while staying with us, and we can certainly understand your disappointment. We wish we had known of the concerns during your stay to make your accommodations more comfortable, but we appreciate you letting us know so we can address them appropriately. Though we tried to reach a resolution for the inconveniences faced, we understand our offers were declined. We would love to have the opportunity to host a more enjoyable stay for you in one of our other 400 + properties in the future, but we understand if you choose to stay elsewhere.

Jessica, we would like to sincerely apologize for all the discomfort you and your group experienced. We know that it must have been alarming to discover that the cabin could possibly have bed bugs. We're grateful you notified us of your concerns so we could address this promptly, and did advise on our policies surrounding this situation. Unfortunately, bed bugs can occur anywhere, and we have strict procedures in place regarding treatment so any issue that may arise is taken care of immediately. In this case, we did send pest control out to test the property for bed bugs, and ultimately, bed bugs were present and management reached out to you in regards to available options. With our policies in place, we were only able to offer a fifty percent refund for the inconvenience. We sincerely apologize for the frustration and inconvenience this caused you and your family and do hope you'll be able to enjoy the Smokies again in the future, regardless of where you may stay.
