Bunkhouse 5A Under Cottonwood Trees

These bunkhouses provide a great lodging choice for people wanting the basics, while enjoying a comfortable mattress, fridge, microwave and just a cool environment. Look for Zion's Camp and Cottages to see all of our properties!

Looking for a serene, peaceful place to stay while visiting the National Parks? Look no further. Campsites full and want a place to shower and get out of the elements? We have you covered.

Our bunkhouse units are set up with two per building and a connecting door to accommodate larger groups. Each private bunkhouse has a king sized bed and a set of bunk beds as well as a private full bathroom. The units are accessible using a keyless entry system. Details are sent electronically two weeks before your arrival date.

Each unit has a high efficiency A/C and Heater, Wi-Fi and a Roku TV- so be sure to bring your logins with you!

The kitchenette is equipped with a full size fridge and microwave. For your convenience there is also a blender, crockpot, toaster, rice cooker, coffee maker, electric water kettle and dishes/utensils for four guests.

There is no oven or stove, however, we do have an outdoor communal food prep area where you can set up your own camp stove or use one of the several charcoal or propane barbecues onsite, on a first come, first serve basis(propane is provided, charcoal is not).

Outside you will also find a fire pit (available seasonally), hammock posts, and picnic tables under our large cottonwood trees.

Guests have access to all of the grounds, barbecues, large parking area, bird feeders and hammock posts.

Your host is available by Airbnb chat, live chat text, phone and the caretaker is always close by.

La Verkin is a small town located about 20 minutes from the entrance to Zion National Park. We have a grocery store, a couple of gas stations and an excellent coffee shop. We are located next to Hurricane, which has a Walmart, movie theater, restaurants and more. If you need more than that, St. George is about 25 minutes away.

You will need a car to get around. We have plenty of parking.

PETS ARE NOT PERMITTED IN ANY UNIT UNDER ANY CONDITION. BRINGING A PET TO ANY UNIT WILL RESULT IN A $200 FINE.

Close to Zion

The bunkhouse is a clean and safe place to stay. It is very clean. It has a tv. The bunk beds were not comfortable. The fire pit was unusable, many ants and other bugs were in it. We went to the Stagecoach for dinner which was walkable and it was good food. If you need a place to crash after Zion, it is perfect.

Perfect spot to stay to visit Zion

I stayed at this property while visiting Zion and was very happy with my experience. The property was perfect for my family. The beds were comfortable and the AC worked great - which was especially important for us since it was over 100° the whole time we were there. There was a fridge with a freezer and a microwave so it was easy to keep food and water cold and reheat leftovers. There was also an area with grass and trees out front that my kids enjoyed running around and playing in. The check-in process was extremely easy and convenient. Location was good - it was about 20 minutes to Zion National Park and there were numerous options for food within a 15 minute drive. Overall we were very happy with our stay and would definitely stay here again.

The description of the accommodation was accurate, clean, simple but functional furnishings, good equipment (e.g. cool box and ice pack available). The quiet location was only disturbed by the loud noise of the fridge. During the day there were friendly people on hand if needed. We would award a fifth star if the services were extended to include, for example, a launderette and enclosed bins in the outdoor area between the houses.

The beds aren't very comfortable really, as far as mattresses go, but other than that we had a great time. We would stay there again. There's no check in or check out so it was so easy. I received a few texts and emails to explain things in detail, which was great. We only needed one thing while there and received it immediately. The place is wonderful.

If you're getting a hotel to just lounge around in and watch TV, this probably isn't your kind of place. It makes for a great base camp from which to go explore the area. We had a situation in which another person decided to stay with us and we emailed Zion's Camp and Cottage and they responded immediately and were very helpful.

This was the PERFECT place to stay on our first trip to Zion. We also ventured to other areas and it was an unexpected central location. The cabin was clean and well stocked with everything you need.
