Breathtaking Sunrises in the Smokies :: A Cabin for Families near Cades Cove

With a stunning view of the Chimney Tops, Mount LeConte and all the glory of the Great Smoky Mountain National Park, Sky Haven Lodge overlooks Laurel Valley from atop the foothills of the Smokies.

After a restful night's sleep on one of 5 beds (spread through 3 bedrooms and common spaces), wake up each morning and enjoy coffee on one of 3 decks with views for miles (no, literally -- like, 13+ miles!) and air so fresh your lungs will thank you.

From there, take your time making plans for the day in your spacious 2,700 square foot getaway. With two common areas, a large dining area, game room and a gigantic loft, there's space for everyone to kick back and have fun.

Enjoy breakfast (or lunch or dinner!) in our 10-seat dining area or outside on the screened-in porch.

What to do? Oh, the list is endless! Stay close with a tee time at Wild Laurel Golf course or head over to the clubhouse pool and get refreshed. Just around the corner are numerous outdoor adventures for the entire family, including: Hiking, rock-climbing, tubing, kayaking, fishing and more! If you'd prefer to take it easy, there are several scenic drives nearby, and beautiful Townsend with its local shops, crafts and restaurants is less than 8 minutes away.

Of course, you're also just minutes from Cades Cove, the Tuckaleechee Caverns, and Clingman's Dome, with the Island at Pigeon Forge and Dollywood/Splash Country both just 40 minutes away.

When your day is wrapping up, enjoy the fire in the sky at sunset. If it's cold, cozy up next to your gas fireplace with a cup of hot cocoa. And as the night gets dark, head up to the top deck for unparalleled stargazing.

An exterior security camera monitors the parking area, giving you extra peace of mind. While smart thermostats provide maximum comfort and smart locks so you'll never have to keep track of a set of keys!

The cabin was great with a beautiful view looking out on the mountains. We usually stay in Townsend and will definitely book this place again. Very comfortable and well equipped.Our host was easy to communicate with and went out of his way to make sure we had all the information we needed for check-in, our stay and check out. A really nice extra touch was listing local places to eat and visit.

The views were spectacular and with the cool weather, we loved using the gas fireplace in the mornings and evenings. The cabin was so cozy and there is plenty of space to be alone and read or with family!

Sky Haven is beautiful! It had plenty of room for 4 adults and 4 children ages 12-16. Kids got a lot of use out of the pool table. I really enjoyed having my coffee on the lower deck on one of the swings. The view is absolutely stunning! There was an issue with the a/c but Chris was on it before we even realized there was a problem. He was really amazing! I definitely recommend Sky Haven!

This cabin is beautiful and set up perfectly. We had 3 couples so we each got a floor. The views are fantastic. We enjoyed Cades Cove and Elkmont.

Beautiful Mountain Retreat

Sky Haven was absolutely beautiful! We had the best time. The cabin was very clean and comfortable for our family of 6. We all had our own space. The view from each one of the decks is absolutely stunning! The cabin was equipped with everything we needed during our stay. We can’t wait to come back and visit Sky Haven again!

The Perfect Cabin

Our family enjoyed our stay. There was more than enough space to spread out and relax. The kitchen had everything we needed to cook meals and the rooms were clean and comfortable. The owners were very friendly and made check in simple. We definitely plan to come back!

Great house. Beautiful views. We had some in our party wake up hot at night a few times with the air having to remain at 70 or higher. Some of us were fine. Still giving 5 stars because there is a reason for the air to stay this temp and we loved the house and location otherwise.

Beautiful, relaxing and extremely clean cabin. The views from the multiple decks are stunning! Communication with the host was great! We had everything we needed for our stay. There were numerous bear sightings while we were there, too. We enjoyed our stay so much and will definitely be back!

There was excellent communication from our host. Our questions were answered promptly, and the host provided a most helpful packet of services and activities in the area. Mountain Views

We had a great time visiting the mountains. We were visiting the area to celebrate our son’s graduation from UTK, but did not want to stay in Knoxville.This was a perfect location for us.Simple 30 minute drive to the airport and about a 45 minute drive to campus.We hiked, we golfed, we ate great food at Dancing Bear Bistro, we enjoyed coffee on the porches in the morning and we even saw a bear right on the property!! The home had everything we needed and more!

Kimberly and I have spent our lives living in every single state in the Southeastern US, but today we call Philadelphia home. Living in the city is exciting, but this family of ours is a mountain family at heart. We long for trails, rivers and waterfalls -- to venture into the unknown and come back with a tale or two. (Oh, and we *love* Dollywood!) Our children are already asking us if we'll "move to Tennessee one day" so they can bring their children to visit. And well, that settled it. We decided to get our own little dream home. But life's still life and we can't leave Philadelphia right now; so we're opening our dream home up to fine people such as you, to explore and enjoy the very land we love so much. We would be most honored to host you.

The very best thing about Sky Haven Lodge is that it can serve two purposes: If you need to get away and clear your mind of all the insanity that is "life" today, this place is for you. Secluded, yet accessible; quiet and spacious with all the amenities you'd need -- the Lodge has it all for you to take a deep breath and RESET.
But if you want adventure? It's got that, too. Refreshingly away from the all the tourist-y stuff, Sky Haven Lodge boasts nearby hiking, tubing, fishing, rafting, golfing and swimming. Oh, and if you want the Dollywood/Island/Ripley's experience (which we often do, too)? No worries, it's just 35-45 minutes away.
And perhaps our favorite in this post-COVID world, this cabin is fully set up for remote work. With a work station (and places to sit in every room), enjoy 300mb WIFI throughout the cabin -- great speeds even out on the decks! And with so much space inside and so much to do outside, it's not hard to bring your family along and keep them active and entertained while you do work, then spend quality time together.

• In the loft, there's a baby gate; perfect to give a family with an infant toddler a fun, safe space to enjoy
• The main floor has a jetted tub, screened-in outdoor eating area, and cozy fire place, giving you multiple ways to unwind all year long.
• Downstairs, enjoy the game room with a convertible pool and ping pong table, as well as a NES Classic in the commons area.
• The crown jewel of the downstairs is Kid's Adventure area, crafted to give young children numerous imaginative activities to do.
• Enjoy 3 decks -- on each level -- two of which wrap around. With so much space overlooking so much beauty outside, you might never want to go inside.
• The bedrooms on the main floor and downstairs boast pillow-top king beds that will send you off to dreamy sleep and the loft offers two queen beds with equally lovely mattresses.
