Mark Twain lake getaway.

3 bed 2 bath open floor plan great for hanging out and entertaining. Has a 10x30 covered porch for any weather. The house is right off blacktop so your boat won’t get dirty yet it’s very secluded. In the shed there is ping ping and a foosball table. Out front is a great fire pit area. There are a few walking trails on the 40 acres and a small pond or creek you can fish. Florida winery is just up the road and boat ramps or the 107 beach is not far away. There is also a full rv hookup for extra guests. Two rooms have a queen bed and a twin one has a queen. The house easily sleeps 8 in beds or 10 with the couches. There is no WiFi and very little if any cell reception unless outside. It’s a great place to unplug and get away.

Outstanding place to unplug and enjoy a fire pit.

Six friends spent the weekend fishing, chasing turkeys, and enjoying the property. Very clean, plenty of space, and close to the lake.

Family Vacation

Our stay was just what we all needed, unplug and enjoy each other’s time. The kids loved fishing, watching nature and riding bikes on the trails. Front porch with fans was amazing and relaxing; the garage with ping pong and fooseball we a hit with everyone. Will be making this an annual trip.

Quiet and peaceful

Tough to find at first, but such a beautiful, peaceful and quiet place to stay. Worked perfect for 4 adults 6 kids under 9. Close to a boat ramp at the lake. No service but makes for more family time. Overall great place and will be back!

4 day getaway with the boys

Secluded location. Very quiet. Owner was prompt with answering questions. Almost no internet service which was considered a plus. This property has a lot of potential with some minor fixes. Would stay here again.

What would the minor fixes be? We are always striving to improve the property but don’t know what needs fixed if it’s not written in the departure book. My house keeper always reports if anything is written so I can promptly repair for the next guests but nothing was written in the book to fix.

Perfect getaway!

Our family had a great time on our short vaca to Mark Twain Lake. The property was great...secluded and private and plenty of room to explore. The house was clean and had everything we needed. And plenty of room for our family of 7. Blackjack Marina was only about a 20 min drive and Perry had lots of fun shops to check out. Only problem we had was finding the house at first!! It's tucked back behind some trees down a gravel road with no house # by the street so we did drive back and forth a couple times and then finally found it! Overall, would highly recommend!

Great place to unplug!

Perfect place to stay if you are looking for a device-free weekend. We did get cell service outside the cabin just not the 5G experience one gets with their cell phone. Close to the lake and places to eat. Ben was great at communicating and answering any questions. Lots of deer and horse flies!

Enjoyed

Had an enjoyable family weekend trip at Bens home. The house is roomy, comfortable, secluded yet a short drive to the lake. It had lots of space to interact with family and cook nice meals and escape to the quite of the front porch for peace. Plan to return.

Great location close to Robert Allen boat ramp

Only about 15 minutes from where we put in. No internet or cell service, which was great in helping our kids and their friends engage with us. Ben, the owner, was very responsive and helpful. We will stay here again!

Comfortable and enjoyable stay for our family vacation

We had 10 family members (including a toddler and a couple of small children) stay on this property. We all had plenty of room to move around. The kids had a wonderful time running around outside and playing on the play set. Plenty of room for them to run. We all enjoyed all of the activities outside in the garage/rec room. The owner is very easygoing, accommodating, and very responsive to any messages. There is no wifi and cell service is very spotty but it was a wonderful way for all of us to unplug and spend quality time together. Wonderful memories were made and we will be recommending this property to others.

House was clean comfy and spacious. Close to multiple boat ramps. Quit and secluded Everybody in my family saw shooting stars and deer. Host went out there way to accommodate.

Excellent Experience!

This property was in the perfect secluded location! It was a short drive to the lake and has a couple surrounding towns to get gas and groceries. The house stayed cool and was equipped with everything we needed and more! The kids had an absolute blast and we all can't wait to go back again! The host was very friendly to work with and made sure we had everything we needed to make our stay enjoyable. We made memories to last a lifetime!

Great "unplugged" family lake getaway

This property is perfect for the family for the family to get unplugged and have real face time! It is close to Mark Twain lake to enjoy the beach and boating, and on the rainy day we played games. The living, kitchen and dining are all one large room, perfect to enjoy our time together, while the bedrooms were set up perfectly to have our space when needed. We had 7 of us and did not feel at all cramped! The garage is also set up as a game room. The owners were very easy to work with and we are already looking forward to returning for our family vacation next year.

This is our family getaway to unplug from work and go to the lake to boat or go to the beach. We love it so much because when we get there we put our phones and other electronics away and just enjoy the quite and wildlife. We have tried to make it like the old days where we hang out and play games, talk and have fires. We put this on vrbo hoping others enjoy it as much as we do and try to help offset some of the upkeep.
