Riverfront Get-A-Way

Walkout to the Mohican River and LAUNCH or JUMP RIGHT IN! After sleeping comfortably in our 3 bed, 2 bathroom home with Central Air Conditioning located on 1.22 acres on Wally Rd. Scenic Byway, pick your activity. We have a private backyard with steps leading to the river to launch or load your own canoes, kayaks, or tubes right into the river. (We offer air to inflate your tubes at our home.) There is plenty of river frontage for fishing, swimming, floating, wading, or just watching others play. We even have an outside flushing restroom so you don't have to leave the water for long!

We are less than 2 miles from Mohican Adventures and less than 3 miles from the Mohican State Park. It is a nice drive to Amish Country if you are a shopper! After playing in the river for the day, we offer a welcoming fire pit to make s'mores and watch the stars. We offer gas and charcoal grills. Enjoy a nice meal on the spacious "Redneck" deck overhanging the river.

COVID-19 Cleaning: Our cleaning process between groups has been enhanced per recommendations of the CDC, including disinfection of all high-touch surfaces in the household common areas (ie: tables, hard-backed chairs, doorknobs, light switches, remotes, handles, etc.) This will be our standard.

Excellent eclipse trip
First of all, this place is as well-equipped as any VRBO you will see, particularly in the kitchen. Not just pots and pans and dishes but every type of gadget or small appliance you could possibly need and an entire cabinet full of spices, oil, flour, etc. We went in April to see the eclipse and other than a couple of family members not making it due to health issues, it was a near perfect trip. I'm a fisherman and was somewhat disappointed that the river was high and muddy (due to recent flooding) but caught several nice bass out of the lake. Contrary to the forecast, we got a sunny day and a perfect view of the eclipse. Our only (very minor) complaint was with the labeling for the garbage. There was much debate about the definition of "unburnables" lol. More specific labeling (glass, paper, plastic, metal) would be less confusing. Check-in and checkout were a breeze and with this being just 3 hours from home, we will likely be back. Highly recommended.

Great Weekend Retreat!
Stayed for a long weekend with a couple friends and family. Very well stocked and taken care of property. The river, deck, game room, and outdoor spaces were the highlights of the trip from our perspective. Already booked another trip to same place in August! Highly recommend!

Can’t beat it
If you are looking for a place on the river, this is the place! The house is fully stocked with everything you need. Just bring your favorite drinks and food. Second time staying here, and already looking into 2 stays for next year. We are a group of 8, and have plenty of room at this place.

50th Birthday Girls Getaway
This was my 2nd time staying at this property and I absolutely love it. A group of us girls that have been friends since high school wanted to do a laid back getaway to celebrate turning 50. I had stayed at this property back in June with our family for my Dad’s 83rd birthday and new our group would love it. And they absolutely did. Plenty of room, spacious kitchen, beautiful scenic property right on the river. We had rain but with the large back patio we were still able to enjoy the beautiful outdoors. River Front Getaway truly has a piece of my heart. Thank you to Jeanette and Jude for Sharing your beautiful home.

Jude and I have three beautiful girls that are out on their own living their lives, so we have filled our spare time with our newest passion, the Mohican River. We have an excavation business, and I work for the local school district. Our work week is jammed packed and hectic, so we love to escape to the river on the weekend every chance that we get!

We have camped at River Run Campground since our girls were toddlers. We have floated down the Mohican at least once a year. We had always wanted a property along the Mohican, and finally, it has happened. We work hard all week so that we can sneak off on Fridays to our favorite "hide-a-way." We have had a great time perfecting and getting it just the way we like it.

Voici ce qui rend cet hébergement unique

Peace... we find so much peace by being next to the River. We love the fun and laughter that comes from the canoers floating down on the Mohican, but we love the quiet at night just listening to the River flow. To catch sight of an Eagle is breathtaking, and it never gets old. You can come and do as much or as little as you like. It is the perfect vacation spot for everyone whether it be local history, shopping, dining, adventures, or just relaxing.
