We enjoyed our stay. It rained the whole time so we didn't get to enjoy the property like we had planned but they had everything you could ever want! We are planning a group trip back up asap. It's the perfect spot for multiple families to kick back and enjoy this adorable little spot. I also really loved the screened in porches, even though it was raining we could still get outside and see the lake.

Vacation!

I come to The Cottages at Harvey Lake every year for at least a week. It’s a wonderful location, quiet lake, close to restaurants, nice little beach with access to kayaks, and very pet friendly. Nancy Carver is super nice, greets you when you check in and is very quick to respond if you need anything. Love coming here!

Camp not Cottage

The owner was very nice and accommodating first allowing us to move up check-in one day and then refunding payment when we were dissatisfied and checked out early. The owner moved us to the orange cottage from the purple cottage booked because it needed renovations. It was clean but I wouldn't describe it as a quaint cottage or even rustic cabin, owner called it a camp. No blinds or curtain in bathroom; blinds on front door kept breaking, gap under front door and window AC unit; screened porch but gap in floor all together bugs/creatures could have easily gotten into unit. 2 burner stove couldn't heat soup. Dining table tucked in a corner had 2 chairs but only room for 1 to sit. Two beds with around walk around space only. Overall cramped and just not functional.

Our CottagesOur cottages have not only been a part of our family’s history, but are truly integral to the Town of Northwood’s history. As the story goes, the 200 year old “Main House”, was considered to be a favorite resting spot for travelers heading through to Concord across the First NH Turnpike. Later, the cottages were built to allow vacationers to enjoy the one of the best kept secrets of lake getaways. We’ve kept that hometown charm and feel which allows you to enjoy the same, simple lifestyle, which our grandparents may have enjoyed. Of course, we’ve added some expected conveniences such as Wi-Fi, satellite TV, and climate controlled cottages. Each cottage enjoys a fully unobstructed water view and frontage on the Lake. Inside you’ll find everything you need for your vacation getaway including linens, towels, soaps, shampoo, and a kitchen that includes everything you need to prepare that fantastic breakfast, lunch or dinner! Outside, is your own gas grill and fire pit for that romantic campfire. When you awake each day, you can enjoy taking out a kayak or sit with your family to enjoy the sunrise on a perfectly calm lake. If you are planning a large family gathering, or even if you want a little extra space, consider the “Main House” as your destination. The home offers you room for up to 16 guests yet is economically priced to create that romantic getaway for you and your “best friend”. We hope you agree with us that The Cottages at Harvey Lake are truly “Where family memories are made!”
