Beachfront on our private beach! Driftwood Cottage - Pipers' Shore

Pipers’ Shore Cottages are 3 cottages nestled on an acre and a half of private beach front property in picturesque North Truro. Our idyllic Beach Point location offers 120 feet of private beach on one of the nicest bathing beaches on Cape Cod. Our beach offers spectacular views of Cape Cod Bay, Long Point Lighthouse, and Provincetown. Pipers’ Shore Cottages are ideally situated to provide guests with a quiet comfortable home base close to many of the best vacation, dining, and entertainment opportunities the Outer Cape has to offer. Each cottage has a private deck or porch with amazing views where guests can relax and enjoy time with their families and friends. Guests looking to take in the natural beauty of the Outer Cape will be able to visit the nearby Cape Cod National Seashore and Race Point. Naturalists will find the birding at Beech Forest excellent or a whale watching trip exciting. Vibrant Provincetown is mere minutes away and can offer those interested in shopping many interesting shops and galleries. Foodies will find excellent restaurants and bars within a short ride from the cottages. Those looking for cultural events, music, or theater will be rewarded by many of the performances available throughout the season. Romantics will appreciate climbing the steps at Highland Lighthouse for beautiful views of the Cape or walking at sunrise or sunset on the unspoiled beaches. Those looking for more active pursuits will find that biking, water sports, hiking, and outdoor opportunities abound. Families will appreciate the nostalgic outdoor drive-in movies, miniature golf, and evening ice cream tastings together.

For your convenience, we offer three separate cottages. These can be rented individually or together for larger gatherings. Few properties in the area allow the degree of flexibility in terms of accommodations and the potential privacy that Pipers' Shore Cottages offer.

Driftwood is our most spacious cottage. It was built in the 1890s and is one of only a handful of the original homes left at Beach Point. It allows up to 8 guests to rest in three comfortable bedrooms and on a queen sleeper sofa in the living room. It is charming and adorned with period characteristics including a wraparound porch, wide pine floors and wainscoting. That is not to say it isn’t modernized and updated with modern appliances and amenities. The cottage has been recently updated and has many amenities that our guests desire. Driftwood is air conditioned and has an enclosed private outdoor shower. A gas fireplace allows for cozy evenings when the weather is cool. A washer and dryer is available for guest use.

Wow, what a wonderful experience we had here! With the cottage just a short walk from the private beach and a gorgeous view from the cottage itself, we were able to maximize our time to enjoy all the ocean has to offer, even with young kids. The home was both functional with all the amenities you would expect, including an outdoor shower to rinse off the salt and sand, and visually appealing with coordinated decor to fit with the cottage theme, like light fixtures made from driftwood and a porthole mirror on the stairs. The guide written by the hosts gave us wonderful options for how to enjoy our time here as total newcomers to the area. We came during the off season and still found more than enough to fill our time. The hosts were responsive and gracious. Clear instructions made check in a breeze. I would highly recommend this place and only wish we lived closer so we could keep it as a regular tradition.

Perfect Beach Get Away

Myself and 6 friends stayed here for a long weekend and it was amazing. The perfect amount of space, a beautiful home, and the beach is beautiful and right there! Also there’s a free bus right to Provincetown. We’re already thinking about booking again!

Fantastic Stay!

This sweet cottage by the sea is well -appointed, comfortable, and spotlessly clean. Great location that’s steps to the Bay, and minutes to P-town and beaches. The outdoor shower was a big hit, and it was great to have 2 parking spaces. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

The cottage was the perfect place to unwind for a long weekend. In close Proximity to P-Town with a beach right out the back door, it’s a great way to do an easy beach weekend.

Excellent location, great cottage

We thoroughly enjoyed our week at this house. There was plenty of space for our party of 8 and the beach is excellent with ample area to spread out, play games, and beautiful views of a lighthouse and Pilgrim tower. The owners were also very responsive to questions/if we needed anything. Highly recommend!

Great location and property

Outer cape beauty. Convenient to p-town. First floor bathroom only is a challenge with your kids but other than that life was great.

I was raised on Cape Cod and remember special times with my family and friends on the beach during the summers. I now live in Texas and had been looking for a property to keep my roots on the Cape so that my children can have these same experiences. Our family found what we were looking for at Pipers' Shore Cottages and we hope you enjoy it as much as we do.

We were looking for a location that would allow larger gatherings for family and friends. The three cottages when rented together will provide ample sleeping space for up to 18 guests.

The private beach has phenomenal views of Provincetown, Long Point Lighthouse, and Cape Cod Bay. The beach is a bay side beach and is calm and perfect for families with young children.
